Chapter 188: Chapter 188 Does she hate me now?
“MISS LILITH!
HAVE DINNER!
I HAVE MADE FOOD FOOD FOR YOU!” Sir Sparkleton’s mechanical voice rang through the mansion, echoing robotically as he chased after Lilith.
Lilith’s long hair whipped around her face as she stormed through the halls, her patience hanging by a thread.
Never in her life had she felt so challenged.
So powerless.
And it wasn’t even because of a man, a god, or some terrifying monster.
No.
Her greatest struggle was a stupid, overly enthusiastic, square-headed robot.
“MISS LILITH, STOP RUNNING!
SYSTEM ALERT!
DINNER IS GETTING COLD!” Lilith whirled around so fast that Sir Sparkleton nearly crashed into her.
Her eyes twitched.
“First of all-how the hell did you make food?!” Sir Sparkleton puffed up proudly.
“SYSTEM AI UPGRADE!
MASTER COOKING MODE ACTIVATED!” Lilith narrowed her eyes.
“Master cooking mode?” The little robot flapped its tiny arms.
“YES, YES!
I WATCHED Y-TUBE TUTORIALS FOR THREE HOURS!” Lilith blinked.
Then, very slowly, she dragged her hand down her face.
“Dear demon lord.
I need to sit down.” Sir Sparkleton, however, wasn’t done.
“I HAVE PREPARED A FIVE-STAR MEAL!
EAT, EAT!
MASTER SAID YOU MUST BE HEALTHY!” Lilith gritted her teeth.
“He kidnapped me, threw me on an island, and now expects me to eat food made by a robot who learned from Y-TUBE?” Sir Sparkleton vibrated excitedly.
“YES, YES!
BOSS LOVES YOU!
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
BOSS CARES ABOUT YOU!
PLEASE EAT!” Lilith sighed deeply, her will to live slowly draining.
But fine.
She would eat.
Just so this square-headed menace would stop yelling at her.
She dragged her feet toward the dining area, expecting something normal.
Maybe salad.
Maybe a simple steak.
But the moment she saw the table- She stopped.
Her soul left her body.
Because sitting on the elegantly set dining table was- A plate of charcoal-black ‘spaghetti’ that looked like it had survived a house fire.
A fish..fully intact, still staring at her.
And a suspicious green liquid in a glass that bubbled like a science experiment.
Lilith slowly turned to Sir Sparkleton.
Her expression blank.
Her patience nonexistent.
“…WHAT.
IS.
THIS.” Sir Sparkleton beamed.
“MASTERPIECE!
COOKED WITH LOVE!
MISS LILITH, PLEASE ENJOY!” Lilith closed her eyes.
Took a deep breath.
Then- She kicked him.
Hard.
Again.
Sir Sparkleton flew across the room, crashed into a chair, and dramatically rolled onto his back, his legs twitching.
“ERROR!
ERROR!
SYSTEM CRITICAL DAMAGE!
MISS LILITH DOES NOT APPRECIATE FINE DINING!
MASTER SEBASTIAN WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS!” Lilith grabbed a glass of water and downed it.
She was going to lose her mind on this island.
*** Lilith dragged herself onto the balcony, the cool night air brushing against her skin as she stared at the endless ocean.
This was her life now.
Kidnapped on an island.
Trapped with a malfunctioning robot who was determined to feed her to death.
She leaned against the railing, inhaling deeply, trying to calm herself down.
Then- THUD.
THUD.
THUD.
The sound of tiny metal feet stomping across the floor.
Lilith’s eyelid twitched violently.
She didn’t even have to turn around.
She knew.
He was back.
“MISS LILITH!” She exhaled slowly, gripping the railing.
“No.” “MISS LILITH!
YOU MUST EAT!
SYSTEM COMMAND REQUIRES YOU TO EAT!” Lilith squeezed her eyes shut.
“No.” Sir Sparkleton hopped closer, proudly holding up a steaming plate.
“FRESH FOOD!
I HAVE IMPROVED!
PLEASE TRY!
MASTER SEBASTIAN WILL BE VERY HAPPY!” Lilith turned her head.
And there it was.
A plate of something unholy.
The spaghetti was no longer burnt, but now it was an unsettling shade of neon purple.
A mysterious meat sat beside it, still slightly blue.
And the green bubbling liquid was back this time, it was glowing.
Lilith stared.
Sir Sparkleton beamed proudly.
Then- She snapped.
“THAT IS NOT FOOD, SPARKLETON!
THAT IS A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY!” Sir Sparkleton gasped.
“MISS LILITH HURTS MY FEELINGS!
SYSTEM EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!” Lilith’s hand twitched.
She closed her eyes, inhaled deeply, counted to three.
Then, with an expression so blank it was almost terrifying, she turned back to the robot.
“Sir Sparkleton.” The robot froze.
His red eyes flickered nervously.
“Y-Yes?” Lilith stepped forward.
One step.
Two steps.
The air grew tense.
Sir Sparkleton backed away slightly.
“Miss Lilith, please-” “I swear on every star in the sky,” Lilith said, her voice dangerously calm, “if you do not get that monstrosity away from me, I will rip out your battery, throw you into the ocean, and watch the dolphins play soccer with your remains.” Sir Sparkleton froze mid-motion.
His red eyes blinked.
His tiny arms trembled slightly.
Then, very, very slowly, he lowered the plate.
Lilith smirked in victory.
Then- “SYSTEM ALERT!
SYSTEM ALERT!
MASTER SEBASTIAN MUST KNOW ABOUT MISS LILITH’S REBELLION!” Lilith’s face darkened.
Oh, hell no.
Sir Sparkleton turned to run.
Lilith lunged.
A loud crash echoed through the mansion.
Sir Sparkleton went flying once again.
Lilith dusted off her hands.
She felt better now.
** Darkness sat in his private study, the dim lighting casting shadows over the sleek black desk as he flipped open his laptop.
The screen flickered to life, and instantly, multiple live camera feeds from the mansion appeared.
Every hallway.
Every room.
Except, of course, the bathroom.
He wasn’t a complete monster.
His eyes scanned the screens, checking for any unusual activity.
Then, he zoomed in on a specific camera feed.
The one in Lilith’s room.
And what he saw almost made him freeze.
Lilith… staring directly at the camera.
Nose flared.
Expression deadly.
Darkness leaned closer, his fingers tightening around the laptop.
The camera quality was one of Carter Corporation’s finest, developed with top-tier clarity and zoom.
So when he focused closer, he could see everything.
The cold fury in her eyes.
The sharp tension in her jaw.
And his heart clenched.
Does she hate me now?
A strange, unfamiliar tightness settled in his chest.
Well… what did he expect?
After what he did to her…of course she would hate him.
Anyway, it didn’t matter.
He had no feelings for her.
Right?
But before he could overthink further- Lilith’s expression shifted.
And then…
She lifted her hand.
And flipped him off.
Darkness blinked.
His mind went completely blank as he watched the screen.
Lilith’s lips were pressed into a thin line, her expression screaming ‘screw you’ louder than words ever could.
And beside her- Sir Sparkleton sat, also staring at the camera, blinking his red laser eyes innocently.
The two of them looked… ridiculous.
The fierce, fuming woman and her dumb, square-headed robot.
And for some reason- He thought they looked cute.
Darkness sighed, dragging a hand down his face.
