Devilish secretary - Chapter 19
Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Ice beauty Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Ice beauty Lilith finally decided on Nina, the famous actress, as Sebastian’s female partner for the event.
Little did she know, many eyes were already on her, curious as to why she hadn’t been fired yet and for her beauty.
In the accounting department, a woman sat at her desk, her frustration palpable as she overheard two men arguing during their lunch break.
“She is mine!
I saw her first!” one man exclaimed, his tone possessive.
“No!
Fu*k!
I liked her first!
You can’t just act like you own her because you think you have a shot!” the other shot back, anger seeping into his voice.
“Lilith is not just another pretty face!
Can’t you control your hormones when you see her?” the first man growled, leaning back in his chair, arms crossed defiantly.
“As if you can!
I’ve been single since the day I was born!
Now that I’ve finally found someone I like, I’m not letting her go!” the second man retorted, frustration creeping into his voice.
Both left for lunch fighting together.
Ana sat alone at her desk during lunch, her eyes narrowing as she overheard two men arguing about Lilith.
Their words ignited a flare of anger within her.
“Who does she think she is?” Ana muttered under her breath, her jealousy bubbling to the surface.
Since the arrival of this so-called beautiful icy beauty, all the attention that had once been on her had shifted.
It was infuriating.
Though she had little interest in the office mens-her heart was set on Sebastian-she couldn’t stand the thought of sharing the spotlight.
The way they spoke about Lilith, practically drooling over her, made her blood boil.
She needed to act fast.
Ana quickly pulled out her phone and scrolled through her contacts.
Her father had always had a way of getting things done.
If she could just get him to intervene, maybe he could make this “ice beauty” disappear from the office for good.
“Lilith doesn’t belong here,” Ana thought with a smirk.
“I’ll have to make sure she gets fired.
This is my chance to reclaim my position.” She dialed her father’s number, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and malice.
If she played her cards right, Lilith wouldn’t stand a chance against her father’s influence.

“I have a little favor to ask daddy,” she said as the line connected, her voice dripping with false sweetness.
“It’s about that new secretary Lilith…” Ana’s eyes glinted with determination.
˜… Lilith had no idea she’d unknowingly offended someone.
Oblivious, she went to the cafeteria to grab her lunch, sitting by herself as usual.
She didn’t have any friends, but it didn’t bother her-she was used to being alone.
For as long as she could remember.
Though she occasionally felt others’ eyes on her, she’d learned to ignore it; their opinions didn’t matter.
Just as she took a bite, a cheerful voice broke her quiet moment.
“Hey…” Lilith looked up to find the source of the voice-a guy with blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a charming smile that revealed deep dimples.
He had a cute, boyish look that made him seem instantly friendly.
“Is the seat next to you empty?” he asked with a sheepish smile, clearly hoping she’d say yes.
Lilith nodded, and he lit up, quickly sliding into the seat beside her.
He seemed genuinely excited, though Lilith kept her usual calm expression.
A few moments later, another voice called out, “Hey…” Lilith raised her eyes again, meeting the gaze of a girl with dark hair and intense black eyes.
Her almond-shaped eyes, framed by a sharp winged liner, gave her an edgy, striking look.
“Is the seat opposite to you empty?” she asked, glancing from Lilith to the blonde guy.
Lilith nodded, and the girl took her place across from them.
She cast a quick glance at her two new lunch companions, then settled in.
“I’m Nova,” the guy introduced himself, his shy smile softening his features.
“Lilith,” she replied.
She didn’t know why they’d chosen to sit with her, but somehow, she didn’t mind.
“I’m Ava,” the girl with the winged eyeliner finally introduced herself, her voice casual, She nudged Nova’s foot under the table, and he looked at her in surprise, shooting her a glare.
‘Can’t you just talk?’ she signaled with her eyes, her expression saying it all.
‘I don’t know what to say,’ he replied silently, looking mildly panicked.
The silent exchange went unnoticed by Lilith, but it was clear these two were best friends, trying to keep their cool around her.
They’d noticed she was always alone, and since she seemed like someone who could use a bit of company, they’d decided to join her today.
But now that they were here, something about Lilith’s quiet presence felt…
intense, almost intimidating.
Ava rolled her eyes with a soft sigh, giving Nova a look that clearly said, ‘Fine, I’ll do the talking.’ She cleared her throat to get Lilith’s attention, her confidence almost slipping as those icy blue eyes lifted to meet hers, a single brow raised in curiosity.
“Nothing,” Ava mumbled, her usual boldness faltering.
Despite being the farthest thing from shy, both she and Nova felt a bit tongue-tied.
There was something about Lilith-something cool, powerful, almost unapproachable-that left them feeling unexpectedly nervous.
Lilith had already finished her lunch and left, leaving Ava and Nova sitting there in the aftermath of their awkward encounter.
“You’re such an idiot, Nova,” Ava said, scrunching her nose in mock disgust.
“Oh, and you were just so smooth, weren’t you, Ava?
All you did was cough,” Nova retorted, rolling his eyes and imitating her little throat-clearing from earlier.
“Oh, shut up!
You’re… you’re totally useless sometimes!” she shot back, leaning over to swat at him.
“Yeah?
Well, you’re like… like some violent monster!
Leave my hair alone!” Nova yelped as she pulled at his soft blonde curls, both of them scuffling without much care for anyone around.
By now, everyone in the cafeteria was used to their bickering and paid them no mind.
