Devilish secretary - Chapter 195
Chapter 195: Chapter 195 Hannah Chapter 195: Chapter 195 Hannah Liam sat behind his desk, his hands resting lightly on the surface as he stared at the stack of files in front of him.
His face was unreadable but deep inside, he felt exhausted.
Dressed in a sharp blue suit, his hair styled neatly, he looked composed.
Yet, the glint in his usually warm eyes had dulled.
And now, Sienna was standing in front of him.
She had walked into his office without hesitation, her delicate face stained with emotions, her red eyes making her look pitiful.
“Liam…
I’m sorry,” she whispered, her voice soft, hesitant.
“About what happened…” Liam’s jaw tightened for a brief second, but he quickly hid it, his face remaining calm.
“You don’t have to,” he said flatly.
There was no emotion in his voice.
But the moment he said it, pain flickered through his eyes, just for a second.
He looked away.
He didn’t want to see her like this.
“I told you to leave me alone, Sienna.” His voice was heavier this time.
“I said I’d forget what happened between us.
Let’s just move on.” Sienna’s breath hitched.
“No, Liam… what about our friendship?” she cried, her voice shaking.
“Are you just going to throw it away?” Her tears made her look fragile, delicate…a sight that would have once made his heart ache to comfort her.
But now?
Now, Liam felt nothing.
The pain was too fresh, too deep, too raw.
And for the first time, a thought crept into his mind, a thought he never wanted to have.
Sienna was selfish.
She only reached for him when she needed something.
She only wanted him close when Sebastian was unavailable.
But the moment she got what she wanted, she turned away, expecting him to just wait for her like a fool.
Liam clenched his fists under the desk.
No.
He refused to think like that.

He refused to believe that the woman he had loved for so long was truly that cruel.
So instead, he took a deep breath and forced every thought, every emotion, every lingering hope out of his heart.
He finally looked at her, his expression blank.
“Go home, Sienna.” His voice was calm.
Too calm.
Sienna’s lips parted, her hands trembling slightly, as if she wanted to say something else.
But something in Liam’s detached gaze stopped her.
For the first time, she realized she was losing him.
And for the first time, Liam didn’t care.
Sienna’s body trembled as she clutched her hands together, her tears falling freely now.
She looked truly pitiful, her delicate face stained with sorrow, her shoulders shaking as if the weight of the world had collapsed onto her.
“Liam… please,” she whispered, stepping closer to his desk.
“I don’t want to lose you.” Her voice cracked, her breath shaky and uneven, as if she were on the verge of breaking down completely.
Liam sat still behind his desk, his fingers loosely clasped together, his face a mask of indifference.
His sharp blue suit contrasted sharply against his tired eyes, but he didn’t flinch.
He didn’t move.
Sienna took another hesitant step forward, her eyes desperate.
“You’re my best friend…” she choked out.
“How can I live knowing I hurt you?
Please, let me fix this.
I don’t want to lose you, Liam.
You’re too important to me.” Liam’s chest tightened painfully.
There was a time when he would have given anything to hear those words from her.
A time when just the thought of being someone important to her would have made him feel whole.
But now?
Now, he could see through her.
She wasn’t saying this because she loved him.
She wasn’t saying this because she truly valued their friendship.
She was saying this because she was afraid of losing her safety net.
And that realization hit him harder than anything ever had.
Sienna hesitated, watching his cold, detached expression, her heart racing when he didn’t respond.
So she walked around his desk and suddenly threw her arms around him.
“Liam… please don’t push me away,” she whispered against his shoulder, her fingers clutching onto his suit jacket, as if she was holding onto something slipping away.
Her body was warm, soft, trembling against him.
Liam sat there, rigid, his hands still resting on the desk.
For years, he had dreamed of holding her like this.
But now?
Now, it felt suffocating.
He didn’t move.
He didn’t lift his arms to hold her back.
He just sat there, letting her cling to him, his heart completely numb.
And for the first time, he realized- He was finally ready to let her go.
A sudden knock on the door interrupted them.
Liam exhaled sharply, his hands finally moving as he gently but firmly pulled Sienna’s hands off him.
“Leave, Sienna,” he said, his voice calm but firm.
He straightened his suit and turned toward the door.
“Come in.” The door opened, and a young girl stepped inside.
She had a round face, soft pink cheeks, and big, dark eyes that carried an intelligent sharpness.
Her long brown hair was tied high in a neat ponytail, making her look effortlessly fresh.
Though she wore simple office attire, there was something genuinely bright about her presence, as if she carried warmth wherever she went.
She was Hannah.
Liam’s personal assistant.
A college student who worked part-time at the company.
Despite her young age, she was sharp, efficient, and had an uncanny ability to help Liam whenever he was stuck.
And more than that her smile had a way of lighting up the entire room.
Hannah stepped forward, holding a tablet in her hands, her gaze moving briefly to Sienna before settling on Liam.
Her expression changed slightly, but she remained composed.
“Sir, we have an important meeting in ten minutes,” she said clearly, her voice delicate but firm.
“I sent you the notes yesterday, but since you weren’t answering my calls, I compiled everything for you again.” Liam looked up at her, and without realizing it, his tense shoulders relaxed slightly.
“Alright,” he said simply, nodding in acknowledgment.
Hannah nodded back, professional and efficient as always.
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave,” she said politely.
Liam gestured for her to go, and with that, she turned and left, closing the door behind her.
But she wasn’t the only one leaving.
Sienna was fuming.
