Devilish secretary - Chapter 201
Chapter 201: Chapter 201 Trap
Nyom Brown leaned back in his chair, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the table, his dark eyes scanning the documents Grandma Bria had just handed him.
His mature face showed signs of age, but he was a man who clearly maintained himself well. The expensive blue suit, the glinting luxury watch on his wrist, everything about him screamed power and ruthlessness.
And right now, he wasn’t impressed.
“Hahaha… I don’t believe you actually managed to get these documents.” His deep, fake laugh rumbled through the private restaurant, his amusement filled with condescension.
Sitting opposite him, Grandma Bria smirked, proud and arrogant.
“Of course!” she declared, lifting her chin.
But then, her expression shifted, eyes gleaming with something darker.
“Now tell me—” she leaned in slightly, lowering her voice. “That orphan… is she dead?”
For a brief moment, Nyom’s expression flickered.
His dark eyes narrowed slightly, but his lips remained curved in a half-smile.
To be honest, he hadn’t even needed to lift a finger.
Before he could make a move, his men had already informed him that Lilith was missing.
So, he did what he did best.
Took advantage of the situation.
Bria thought he was behind it? Fine. Let her think that.
He didn’t care.
But what did interest him was what he had discovered during his own investigation.
Lilith.
That girl’s background wasn’t normal.
Whoever kidnapped her—
They were walking straight into a deep, dark hole.
A hole they wouldn’t be able to crawl out of.
He stared at Bria’s smug, satisfied face, and for the first time, he almost felt pity.
She was celebrating too soon.
His lips curved into a slow smirk, but his next words were laced with warning.
“And you,” he said, voice dropping into something sharp, calculating, dangerous.
“Don’t act too happy about her disappearance.”
Bria’s face twitched slightly. “Why not?”
Nyom’s dark gaze bore into hers.
“Because there will be a serious investigation.” His voice was calm, but final.

“The police are already involved. And even worse—Sebastian’s private investigation team is on the move.”
He watched as Bria stiffened, her expression shifting slightly.
He leaned forward, his voice lowering.
“And if you don’t start acting like a grieving, concerned grandmother—” his smirk widened, voice laced with amusement “you’ll be the first name on their suspect list.”
Silence.
Bria forced herself to sit back, quickly schooling her expression into something neutral.
“Fine… I understand,” she muttered, pretending to sound reluctant.
She folded her hands neatly in her lap, taking a deep breath.
Then she tried to make a sad face.
She really did.
But she couldn’t help it—
A slow, wicked grin crept onto her lips.
The thought of that lowly orphan being out of Sebastian’s life forever was too satisfying.
She was too happy.
Too pleased with herself.
And she had no idea—
She was walking straight into a trap.
**
Lilith stepped outside the mansion, her footsteps barely audible against the smooth stone path.
The island was small, isolated, but undeniably beautiful. The sky stretched endlessly, the sea surrounding her in an unbroken horizon of blue.
If he hadn’t kidnapped her, she might have even considered this a nice honeymoon destination.
But since he did, all she could think about was how to get out of here.
The salty breeze brushed against her skin, the sun dipping lower, casting golden streaks across the ocean. It should’ve been peaceful.
If not for the dumb tin can trailing behind her.
“Miss Lilith is doing very well! Natural oxygen intake is at optimal levels! Keep breathing!” Sir Sparkleton chirped, his tiny legs whirring as he hurried to keep up.
Lilith’s eye twitched.
“What else am I supposed to do? Stop breathing?” she muttered under her breath.
Sir Sparkleton paused for a second as if considering the possibility.
“That is… not recommended.”
Lilith rolled her eyes, dragging a hand through her hair.
She could feel them.
The hidden guards.
Even though they thought they were unseen, she could sense their positions perfectly.
The way their energy shifted slightly when she moved too close. The way they held their breath whenever she changed direction.
“Idiots,” she murmured to herself.
She knew exactly where they were watching from.
And she hated being watched.
Lilith came to a slow stop near the edge of the beach, where the sand met the water, her eyes flickering toward the treeline where she knew at least two guards were stationed.
Without warning, she turned sharply on her heels, facing Sir Sparkleton.
“Hey.”
The tiny robot froze, red eyes blinking.
“Yes, Miss Lilith?”
She crouched slightly, lowering her voice into something smooth, dangerous.
“Can you do something for me?”
Sir Sparkleton’s wheels whirred excitedly.
“Miss Lilith has a request? Processing… Processing… Request accepted! What is the mission?”
Lilith smirked.
“Tell those guards to stop hiding. If they want to watch me, they can do it openly like real men.”
The robot’s system glitched for a second.
“Warning! Warning! Master Sebastian’s security protocol states that guards must remain undetected! Miss Lilith is attempting to override protocol!”
Lilith patted its metal head.
“Exactly.”
And just like that, she turned on her heel, walking straight toward the treeline—where she could feel the guards tense.
They thought they could cage her in this paradise?
She’d turn it into their nightmare instead.
As Lilith approached the treeline, her steps slow and deliberate, she could feel the guards shifting uneasily.
They thought they were unseen.
They thought she couldn’t sense them.
But Lilith was no ordinary woman.
With a smirk curling at her lips, she suddenly lifted her hand and pointed directly toward one of the hidden men.
“You.” Her voice was casual, but commanding.
Silence.
Not a single rustle.
But she felt it…the slight inhale of breath, the way his muscles tensed.
She tilted her head slightly.
“Come out, now.”
Still, no movement.
Lilith sighed, tapping her chin.
“Sir Sparkleton.”
The tiny robot perked up. “Yes, Miss Lilith!”
“Go tell your Master Sebastian that his guards are useless.”
The moment those words left her mouth, a shadow moved.
One of the guards finally stepped forward, his jaw tight, face blank.
Dressed in full black gear, a radio piece tucked in his ear, he had the typical “cold, silent, loyal bodyguard” aura.
Lilith’s smirk widened.
“See? Was that so hard?”
The man didn’t respond.
Instead, two more guards appeared from different positions, stepping out into the open.
Sir Sparkleton blinked rapidly, his system struggling to process the turn of events.
“Miss Lilith has successfully overridden stealth protocol. Master Sebastian must be alerted! Alert! Alert!”
Lilith, completely ignoring the robot, crossed her arms and faced the men.
“You guys have been following me since I walked out of that mansion. It’s kinda creepy.”
One of the guards shifted uncomfortably.
“Our orders are to ensure your safety.”
“Uh-huh.” Lilith’s eyes glinted with mischief.
She took a slow step forward.
The guards instantly stiffened.
“So if I were to, say… run straight into the ocean and try to swim away, you’d stop me?”
One of the men immediately reached for his radio.
Lilith laughed.
“Relax, relax. I’m not stupid enough to swim across the damn ocean.”
