Devilish secretary - Chapter 206
Chapter 206: Chapter 206 Love guru
A woman in her early fifties, with kind eyes and salt-and-pepper hair tied in a neat bun, stepped out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel.
The moment her gaze fell on Lilith—
“Oh, dear.”
Lilith sighed, already regretting this.
Jack’s mother, a doctor, immediately shifted into professional mode, assessing Lilith from head to toe.
“What happened to her?” she asked, moving closer.
“She was in the ocean all night, Mom. She swam all the way here.”
The woman blinked in shock, then looked at Lilith again, as if confirming she was, in fact, real.
“You swam all night? In that cold water?”
Lilith shrugged, though exhaustion still clung to her limbs.
“It wasn’t that bad.”
Jack’s mom gave her a sharp look. “Don’t be ridiculous, young lady. You’re lucky you’re still standing!”
She quickly grabbed Jack’s arm.
“Take her to the guest room. I’ll get blankets and warm tea.”
Jack nodded and helped Lilith down the hall.
As soon as they entered the small but cozy guest room, Lilith collapsed onto the bed, letting out a deep breath.
Sir Sparkleton, who had been silent for once, finally beeped proudly.
“Miss Lilith has survived all odds and has successfully infiltrated a kind stranger’s home! Congratulations!”
Lilith groaned.
“Tin can, shut up.”
Jack chuckled, watching her with amusement.
“You and that robot are something else.”
Before Lilith could respond, his mother entered with blankets and a tray of steaming tea.
“Here, dear. You need warmth.” She draped the blanket over Lilith, then handed her a cup of tea.
Lilith took it hesitantly, inhaling the herbal scent before taking a small sip.
Warmth bloomed in her chest, soothing her aching body.
Lilith barely had the strength to keep her eyes open.
The warmth of the tea, the soft bed, and the weight of exhaustion pressed down on her like an invisible force.
Her last thought before slipping into sleep was simple.
Mortal life is so damn hard.

Tsk.
Then she was out.
Jack’s mother, satisfied that Lilith was resting, patted Jack’s shoulder.
“Stay with her in case she needs something.”
“Uh—w-what? Me?” Jack stammered, looking at the sleeping Lilith.
His mother smirked knowingly. “Just make sure she’s comfortable. And don’t stare too much, alright?”
Jack turned red.
“I wasn’t—!”
“Sure, sure, honey.” His mom left with a chuckle.
Now, it was just Jack, Lilith, and… the robot.
Jack awkwardly sat on the chair near the bed, his gaze drifting to the woman now peacefully sleeping.
His throat went dry.
He had seen pretty girls before.
But not like her.
Even with her face pale from exhaustion, even with her hair a tangled, wet mess..she was breathtaking.
Not just her beauty, but the way she carried herself. The dangerous aura beneath her exhaustion, the way she had spoken, unbothered by everything, as if the world itself was beneath her.
Who the hell was she?
Jack swallowed hard, feeling his heartbeat pick up.
And that was when—
Sir Sparkleton twitched.
The tiny robot’s red eyes flickered, scanning Jack rapidly.
Then, in a loud, robotic voice, it announced:
“ALERT! ALERT! LOVE EMOTIONS DETECTED!”
Jack jumped so hard he nearly fell off the chair.
“W-WHAT?!”
Sir Sparkleton beeped excitedly.
“Young male human heart rate increased by 32%! Pupil dilation detected! Temperature rising by 1.2 degrees! Conclusion: ROMANTIC INTEREST ACTIVATED!”
Jack’s face exploded into red.
“I—WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!”
He frantically looked at Lilith, but thankfully, she was still fast asleep.
Sir Sparkleton, completely ignoring Jack’s panic, kept whirring.
“Shall I provide tips for confessing your love? I have a 97% accuracy rate on successful romantic developments!”
“NO! SHUT UP!” Jack hissed.
Sir Sparkleton twitched but remained persistent.
“Would you like to rehearse a love confession? I can simulate responses based on Miss Lilith’s known personality patterns!”
“I SAID SHUT UP!” Jack whisper-screamed, his ears burning.
Lilith stirred slightly, mumbling something in her sleep.
Jack froze.
Sir Sparkleton beeped once more.
Then, in a quieter but still robotic voice, it said:
“Do not worry, young human male. Your secret crush is safe with me.”
Sir Sparkleton whirred happily, oblivious to the sheer danger of his words.
He had no idea…absolutely none…what would happen if Master Sebastian ever found out about this.
If Sebastian knew another man was blushing over Lilith—
If he knew some random island boy had caught feelings for her—
The entire island might mysteriously disappear overnight.
And if he finds out his super expensive, ultra-loyal robot has secretly been trying to set Lilith up with someone else… Oh no, someone’s circuits are about to be fried!
But Sir Sparkleton, being the ever-efficient (and utterly clueless) AI Robot that he was, continued his mission enthusiastically.
What the hell was this thing?
Jack had never met a talking robot before, let alone one that gave dating advice like some love guru.
“Wait, wait—hold on,” Jack rubbed his temples, trying to make sense of all this. “You’re telling me… you analyze human emotions?”
Sir Sparkleton beeped proudly.
“Correct! I am equipped with advanced emotional detection software! I can read body language, monitor heart rates, and assess subconscious attractions!”
Jack blinked.
“That’s… actually kinda cool.”
Sir Sparkleton twitched happily.
“Ah! A new admirer of my capabilities! Would you like me to calculate your romantic compatibility with Miss Lilith?”
Jack held up his hands quickly.
“No, no—I’m not saying all that! I was just saying the technology is cool!”
Sir Sparkleton ignored him.
“Processing… calculating… result: 3.7% chance of romantic success.”
Jack stared.
“…Wait. That’s low.”
Sir Sparkleton nodded seriously.
“Yes. Miss Lilith is highly unpredictable, with dominant personality traits that do not align with your passive disposition.”
Jack frowned.
“Hey! I’m not passive!”
“Compared to Miss Lilith? You are a friendly civilian…”
Jack’s mouth opened, then closed.
He didn’t even know what that meant, but it somehow felt accurate.
“Well, I wasn’t interested in her anyway,” he muttered, crossing his arms.
Sir Sparkleton beeped, processing.
“Ah! You are experiencing mild denial. Would you like coaching on how to accept your newfound feelings?”
Jack groaned, dragging a hand down his face.
“I don’t have feelings! I literally just met her!”
Sir Sparkleton whirred.
“Ah, love at first sight, then?”
“NO!”
