Devilish secretary - Chapter 212
Chapter 212: Chapter 212 Secret photos
“This place sells our island’s authentic food!” Jack beamed, pulling out a chair for Lilith like a gentleman as they settled at a small open-air beachside restaurant.
The sea breeze danced through the air, bringing the scent of grilled seafood and fresh herbs. The tables were wooden, slightly weathered by the salty wind, but arranged neatly under straw roofs that offered just enough shade. The rhythmic crash of the waves added a calm melody in the background.
Lilith sat down gracefully, crossing one leg over the other, her sundress flowing lightly with the wind. She glanced around the place, mildly intrigued, though her sharp eyes never missed a detail.
Sir Sparkleton, without asking, waddled over and made himself comfortable in the seat beside her. His metallic body creaked slightly as he leaned back, adjusting his posture like he’d done this a thousand times.
“Activating discrete surveillance mode…” he whispered to himself, though it wasn’t very subtle.
His red eyes blinked once—
Click.
Click.
Click.
He was snapping photos from beneath the table, rotating his camera lens slightly each time Lilith laughed or tucked her hair behind her ear, or when Jack leaned closer to talk to her.
“Mission: ongoing. Update to Master Sebastian scheduled in 20 minutes.”
Unfortunately or perhaps deliberately every single picture he took looked like it came from a couple’s holiday album.
One showed Jack pushing a plate closer to Lilith, their heads tilted toward each other.
Another caught Lilith sipping juice with Jack’s blurred smile in the corner, creating the perfect “candid lovers” photo.
And the third, the worst of all, caught Lilith mid-laugh, with Jack looking at her like the sun had landed right on their table.
Sir Sparkleton labeled it:
“Picture #073: Evidence of Romantic Chemistry. Possibly Forbidden Romance Arc?”
Meanwhile, Jack was trying his best to keep his cool as he gestured toward the menu board written in chalk. “You have to try the grilled coconut fish…it’s sweet, spicy, and totally unique to our island. Oh, and the pineapple rice is made in an actual pineapple shell.”
Lilith raised a brow. “You’re very enthusiastic for someone who looks like he’s about to faint every time I blink.”
Jack coughed. “I-I’m not fainting. I’m just excited. To eat. And also yeah, okay, a little nervous.”
She chuckled softly, reaching for the menu. “Relax, island boy. I don’t bite.”
Sir Sparkleton’s lens whirred. Click.
“Photo caption: Miss Lilith initiating flirtation.”
And while Lilith calmly read the menu, sipping coconut water, completely unaware of the upcoming trouble.

The sound of Alexander’s shoes echoed down the private plane’s stairway as he descended with the kind of calm that always came before a storm.
He wore a long charcoal trench coat that moved slightly with the sea breeze, dark sunglasses masking his sharp eyes, and his expression was blank but dangerous.
It had been a long time since he’d taken control.
He pulled out his phone, black and elegant, and tapped open the notification from the special app…the one directly linked to Sir Sparkleton’s surveillance.
“New Photo Batch Received.”

The first photo began to download.
“Sir!” Assistant Quinn’s voice broke through the moment.
Alexander’s jaw clenched. He didn’t like being interrupted.
He turned the phone screen off without another glance and looked at Quinn, his voice icy calm. “Yes?”
Quinn, ever slightly breathless from trying to keep up with his boss’s pace, straightened. “We’ve located Miss Lilith.. She arrived there early morning—seems she escaped the secured perimeter by boat.”
Alexander’s lips twitched. Not a smile.
Something more dangerous.
“Of course she did,” he muttered under his breath, sliding the phone back into his coat pocket. “My woman doesn’t know how to sit still.”
“Sir?” Quinn asked, not catching it.
Alexander didn’t respond. He simply adjusted his coat, the sun reflecting sharply off his glasses, and started walking toward the waiting black SUV.
Inside the luxurious, black SUV, the air turned eerily still.
Alexander sat in the back seat, his legs crossed elegantly, the long trench coat folding perfectly at his knees. The leather creaked beneath him as he leaned back, head slightly tilted, one hand resting calmly on the armrest.
With a flick of his thumb, he unlocked his phone.
The screen lit up—
And the image finally loaded.
Lilith.
Wearing a sundress.
Wind in her hair.
Smiling.
Beside her—some boy.
Too close.
Laughing.
Looking at her like she belonged to him.
Alexander’s jaw locked.
A slow, sharp breath escaped through his nose. The aura around him shifted, dropping like a curtain of ice.
His gaze didn’t move from the screen, but the anger in his eyes sparked like a match to oil—calm, controlled, but absolutely lethal.
The storm in him was silent—
But deadly.
He zoomed in on her smile.
That smile was his.
Not the boy’s.
Not the world’s.
His.
The silence grew unbearable.
Assistant Quinn, seated in front, shifted uncomfortably. A shiver crawled up his spine. He tugged at his collar, glancing at the air-conditioning control. “I-Is it just me… or is the car freezing?” he muttered to the driver.
But when he looked into the rearview mirror…
He froze completely.
Alexander’s face…
Expressionless.
Cold.
His gaze fixed on the phone screen, but something in the air around him was changing like gravity tightening, like the calm before a tidal wave.
Quinn’s mouth opened. “S-Sir…?”
Alexander didn’t look up.
Then he whispered, as if only to himself, “Let’s see how long that smile lasts when she sees me.”
Because he wasn’t going there just to retrieve her.
He was going to remind her,
Who she belongs to.
And what happened to those who forgot.
Lilith sat on a smooth rock where the waves gently reached up to kiss the shore, the cool water lapping at her bare feet. The sky had turned into a canvas of gold, rose, and lavender…an ethereal sunset that made even the sea look like it was blushing.
Her sundress fluttered softly in the breeze, her hat rested beside her, and her long hair swayed against her back like a ribbon of dark silk. She leaned slightly back on her palms, watching the horizon where the sun melted into the sea.
She looked breathtaking, like a goddess taking a break from ruling the underworld.
