Devilish secretary - Chapter 219
Chapter 219: Chapter 219 DID?
Lia didn’t even like him. He wasn’t handsome. He was old, controlling, too eager to act like he owned her. But he was rich and more importantly, powerful.
She leaned into his touch, smiling sweetly while her mind ticked like a well-oiled machine.
Let him believe the baby’s his. Let him spoil her now.
Once she had enough from him…money, gifts, a solid footing, she would return to Rayan.
Sweet, loyal Rayan, who still thought she loved him. She’d act like nothing happened, wipe his memory with tears and fake promises. And then convince him to return to the Brooks family. After all, she wanted the full picture: love, money, reputation, and control.
Why settle for a man who dreams of building a mansion, she thought smugly, when I can have men who already own dozens?
She smiled at the director, resting her head on his shoulder as he called his secretary to order her a massage, dinner, and anything she desired.
Meanwhile, somewhere far away, Rayan folded another shirt dreaming of a future that was slipping away with every sweet lie.

The next morning, soft rays of sunlight filtered through the tall glass windows of Alexander’s hidden private mansion, a secluded place with state-of-the-art security. No maids, no staff noise. Just the two of them.
Lilith stirred beneath the soft grey sheets, the smell of his cologne still lingering in the air. She blinked drowsily as she turned over, and with a lazy stretch, noticed him standing near the wardrobe, adjusting the cuffs of his dark suit.
Her voice came out husky, half-asleep, “Where are you going… Human doll?”
Alexander paused, then looked at her with a faint smile.
He crossed the room in a few steps and leaned over the bed, showering her face with gentle kisses..cheeks, nose, forehead. She grumbled something under her breath but didn’t push him away.
“I’ll be back soon,” he whispered against her lips and kissed her softly before walking out the door.

An hour later, Alexander sat alone in a corner booth at a quiet, upscale café nestled away from the busy streets. He had booked the most private table available, far from windows and eyes. His phone rested on the table, screen dim, untouched coffee beside him.
He wasn’t nervous.
He was curious.
Devils Play…the mysterious user who had not only provided him with crucial information about Grandma Bria and Nyom Brown and yet, even after exchanging several messages, he still didn’t know who it was.
His phone rang, and a new email message appeared in his inbox.
[ I ma here. ]
The grammar still made his eye twitch every time. But his eyes darkened with interest.
He looked up casually, eyes scanning the entrance.
Who would it be?
An old man? A hacker teen? A middle aged man??
One thing was certain..He wasn’t leaving without answers.
Alexander didn’t raise his head right away.
He had felt it..a presence nearby. Subtle but powerful. Like someone who wanted to be noticed, but only after they chose to reveal themselves.
“Hellow.” A boy’s voice, cold and clipped, drifted across the table.

The accent was unfamiliar.
The English… broken.
How bad can someone be at English? Alexander thought irritably, his brows twitching. But then, curiosity piqued, he slowly raised his head…
And froze.
His heart skipped a beat….

Grandma Bria’s hand trembled as she held her phone, the screen glowing in her palm like a spotlight exposing a century’s worth of secrets.
The message read:
[ This medicine is prescribed for patients suffering from DID — Dissociative Identity Disorder. It stabilizes emotional shifts and helps regulate multiple personality triggers.]
Her heart skipped.
DID?
Sebastian?
Her pupils shrank as she reread the message. Again and again. As if trying to convince herself it was a lie but no, the words didn’t change.
Sebastian Carter… had multiple personalities.
She slumped into her velvet chair, the weight of the truth crashing down on her like a wave she hadn’t seen coming. She thought she knew everything…she controlled everything. Yet this… this revelation had been kept from her, buried right under her nose.
And then her expression slowly twisted.
Her lips curled into a crooked, eerie smile. Her eyes, still wide, now glinted like the edge of a blade catching moonlight.
“So that’s what’s wrong with him…” she whispered, voice trembling with twisted delight. “That’s why sometimes he’s icy like death… and sometimes like freak… it all makes sense.”
A low, rattling chuckle escaped her throat.
“Multiple personalities…” she repeated, her long nails tapping the phone screen thoughtfully. “Perfect.”
She stood up slowly, her old bones creaking under the weight of malice and ambition.
“This… might be my chance,” she murmured. “If he’s unstable…if word gets out he’ll lose everything. His company. His name. His legacy.”
Her smile widened, cruel and triumphant.
“But don’t worry, Sebby…” she hissed under her breath. “Grandma will take care of everything.”
She laughed loudly so evily…
Grandma Bria slowly walked toward her vanity.
Her hands were cold, her heart beating fast. The message still played in her mind like a whisper:
Sebastian has multiple personalities.
She sat down in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection. Her face looked pale… but her eyes were shining in a strange way.
“Oh my poor Sebby…” she said in a soft voice, placing a hand on her chest. “How could my sweet grandson have such a problem… when I loved him so much?”
Her voice shook, but it wasn’t from sadness. It was something else.
She tilted her head to the side, watching herself carefully. “Which one is the real him?” she whispered. “The cold one? The silent one??”
She suddenly laughed, but the sound felt strange in the quiet room. She stopped laughing and stared at the mirror again.
“I don’t even know how many parts he has… or what kind of person he becomes. Maybe he’s not even Sebastian anymore,” she said, her smile becoming wider, her eyes a little crazier.
She picked up a small bottle of perfume and held it like a microphone, pretending to talk to someone.
“But of course, I loved him, didn’t I? I did everything for him!” she said louder now. “And now he hides things from me? Takes her side over mine? Some orphan girl??”
Her hand suddenly slammed down on the table, shaking the small bottles and brushes.
“I made him strong! I made him the man he is! And this is how he repays me?”
Her chest rose and fell quickly. She stood up and walked in circles like a lion in a cage, talking to herself.
“I have to find out which part of him is weak. Which part I can use. And which one I can destroy… before he ruins everything.”
She stopped and looked into the mirror again.
A slow smile returned to her lips.
“Yes… I’ll find out each of his faces… and break them one by one.”
And she leaned close to the mirror, whispering, “Grandma still loves you, Sebby… but if you won’t listen… I’ll just have to fix you myself.”
Her eyes looked wild.
And in the silence, her soft laughter echoed through the room.
