Devilish secretary - Chapter 230
Chapter 230: Chapter 230 Bria’s fear
Alexander let out a quiet breath through his nose, expression unreadable, but deep inside, his heart was coldly satisfied.
Day by day… I’ll make sure your downfall happens slowly, he thought.
So slowly, you’ll feel it in your bones. And I want you to watch…every piece crumble before your eyes, just like you made mine bleed.
His fingers tightened slightly on the edge of the tablet.
He still remembered those days.
He could never forget.
The years Nyom Brown kept him like a tool…an emotionless thing to shape and punish. No one knew what he went through. No one heard the screams that never left his mouth. That part of his childhood… wasn’t childhood at all.
But now now he was the one with the power.
He exhaled slowly and looked out the window, letting the city pass by in silence.
His tablet screen dimmed as the car turned toward the next meeting location. This one was important..another step in destroying Nyom’s hidden links.
Alexander adjusted his sleeve and sat straighter, expression calm again.
The war wasn’t over.
But the beginning of Nyom’s end, it had already begun.

“Ten seconds left!” Grandma Bria laughed, clapping her hands like a child watching a puppet show. “Ten… nine… eight…”
Her voice echoed across the dock as the wind picked up and the sea crashed louder.
Ava and Nova were trembling now. The old wooden platform creaked louder under their weight, the rope around Ava’s ankle already halfway undone.
Below them, the dark sea was boiling. Sharks were circling.
Nova’s blonde hair stuck to his forehead, sweat dripping from his face. He was shaking but not for himself. He kept looking at Ava.
And Ava… her heart was pounding so loudly she thought it might explode. She tried to stay calm, but her legs were slipping, her body leaning more and more over the edge.
“Seven… six… five…”
“Lilith…” Ava whispered, barely able to breathe.
Nova turned his head. “Lilith, don’t choose. Just run. Save yourself—”
But Lilith didn’t move.
She stood still. Eyes cold. Calm. Dangerous.
Her black hoodie swayed with the wind. Her shadow stretched across the dock like a warning.
Then—
In the middle of the countdown, she spoke.
“Do you two… trust me?” she asked softly.
Ava and Nova blinked.

Even now when they were one second away from death?
But both of them nodded.
“Yes,” Ava said, voice shaking.
Nova looked straight at her, eyes full of fear but also something stronger.
“Always.”
Lilith’s lips curled ever so slightly. Not a smile. Not yet.
Grandma Bria stopped counting. “Huh?”
Lilith raised her hand slowly and pulled out something small from the pocket of her hoodie. It was a black chip. Small. Almost invisible.
Bria’s eyes narrowed. “What is that?”
Lilith didn’t answer her.
Instead, she turned her head slightly and spoke in a voice calm as ice.
“Sir Sparkleton.”
Suddenly—
A sharp beep.
From the car parked nearby, a red laser blinked on.
Then another.
Then ten.
Hidden around the dock, in the cliffs, on the rocks—
tiny drones buzzed awake. Silent. Fast. Invisible until now.
Grandma Bria took a step back.
“What the—”
Before she could finish her sentence, a loud CRACK!
The gun in the guard’s hand sparked and flew out of his grip…shot cleanly by one of the drones.
“WHAT?!” Bria screamed.
Lilith didn’t flinch.
“I didn’t come alone,” she said softly. “You said ten seconds… and I gave you ten.”
Then she moved.
Fast. Like a shadow in wind.
She ran straight to Ava and Nova. The guard reached for his backup weapon…
BANG! Another drone shot it right out of his hand.
Lilith reached Ava first. She pulled out a small blade and sliced the rope around her wrist in one clean motion. Ava dropped down to her knees, gasping but safe.
Then she turned to Nova, cutting his ropes quickly.
Bria stumbled back. “No—NO! KILL HER!”
But her men were backing away now. The drones hovered above them like metal angels of death.
Lilith stood up slowly, her face cold.
“Game over,” she said.
Ava grabbed her hand. Nova stood protectively beside them.
Bria’s eyes were wild. “You think this is the end?! You think—!”
Lilith took one step toward her.
Bria stopped talking.
“Run, while you still can,” Lilith said. “Because next time…”
She didn’t finish.
She didn’t need to.
Because the fear in Bria’s eyes said enough.
The wind howled louder now, brushing against the broken dock, carrying the salty smell of blood, sea, and fear.
Lilith stood tall like a shadow pulled from a storm..black hoodie dancing in the wind, her expression cold enough to freeze fire. Ava and Nova had been rescued, and she had ordered them firmly:
“Go to my car.”
Ava didn’t question. Her legs were still shaking, but she nodded and ran toward the parked black car where Sir Sparkleton waited with the door open.
Nova hesitated, his eyes wide with worry. “What about you?” he asked, voice barely steady.
“I said go.” Her voice was like steel. No room for argument.
Nova’s throat tightened, but he obeyed, following Ava.
Behind them, Grandma Bria’s expression had changed from amusement to disbelief. She scoffed and snapped at the tall masked man beside her.
“She’s just a girl! What are you standing there for? Go break her bones!”
The man didn’t hesitate. He charged at Lilith with heavy footsteps, thick boots pounding the dock. He was tall, muscular, trained to kill.
But Lilith didn’t move.
Not until he got too close.
Then—
Like a black flash, she ducked low and swept his legs from under him. The man stumbled. She didn’t give him time to recover. Her elbow slammed into his ribs. Then a punch to the throat. Her movements were ruthless, sharp like a dagger.
He growled and slashed with the knife. She dodged left, seized his wrist, and twisted, disarming him.
Crack!
The knife dropped into the ocean.
He roared and grabbed her hoodie, trying to throw her off the dock.
But Lilith didn’t let him.
With a final scream, she spun behind him, wrapped her arms around his neck, and with a powerful shove—
She threw him into the sea.
His body splashed hard, and a moment later—
Shark fins.
Bria watched in horror as the water turned red. Her lips trembled. “N-No… no…”
