Devilish secretary - Chapter 245
Chapter 245: Chapter 245 Naughty
“Alright, play time!!!” Ethan announced dramatically, clapping his hands together like an overly excited child. He stood in the center of the living room like some self-declared ringmaster, his grin wide and eyes sparkling with mischief.
After dinner, everyone had moved to the grand living area…soft lighting, plush couches, the scent of fresh flowers from the garden drifting through the windows. The fireplace crackled gently in the background, adding just the right amount of warmth to the air.
Grandpa Arthur had already excused himself, yawning as he waved his hand. “You young ones enjoy. My bones prefer soft beds now.”
And off he went to his room, while the rest of them found themselves circled around, unsure what Ethan was about to pull.
“You all are so stiff!” Ethan declared, putting his hands on his hips. “Always typing, clicking, nodding, planning strategies… Hah! You forgot how to live! All of you are corporate robots, even Lilith!”
Lilith raised a brow lazily. “I’m not a robot.”
“Debatable,” Ethan muttered under his breath and then dodged a pillow thrown by Rose, who laughed.
Nova slouched back into the couch. “Fine, fine. So what game are we playing, oh wise one?”
Ethan rubbed his chin, clearly enjoying his new role as the entertainment captain. “Hmm. Something fun. Something dramatic. Maybe we should all switch to acting. You know? Feelings! Expressions! Drama!”
“You should switch to sleep,” Lilith commented dryly, sipping from her glass.
But just then—Sir Sparkleton, who had been oddly silent, suddenly lit up. Literally.
“Suggestion uploaded!” he announced, red eyes flashing brightly. “Option 1: Truth or Dare. Option 2: Mafia Game. Option 3: Movie time! Option 4: Emotional Simulation…though warning, too intense for soft hearts.”
Ethan’s jaw dropped. “You—! You glitching toaster! Since when were you holding party game data??”
“I observe. I adapt. I learn,” Sir Sparkleton said, puffing up proudly, though he was all metal and square edges.
“Alright!! Movie time!!” Ethan declared like a king announcing a royal feast, dramatically pointing to the large screen ahead.
Immediately, he turned to the nearest maid like a general giving orders. “Popcorn. Chocolate. Juice. Maybe a milkshake for the emotional ones. Turn down the lights. Fluff the pillows. This is a cinematic experience!”
The maid blinked but nodded and got to work.
Within minutes, the living room transformed. Curtains drawn, fairy lights glowing faintly at the edges, and the big screen came to life. Everyone settled in, cozied up on bean bags, sofas, and cushions.
And then Ethan’s movie started playing. His movie. Where he was the hero.
His name flashes across the screen in bold, gleaming gold letters as he makes his dramatic entrance…slow-motion strides, the wind rippling through his tattered, bloodied shirt like a battle-worn banner.
“Bro…” Nova whispered under his breath.
Ava giggled. “I’ve already seen this three times.”
“You have great taste,” Ethan replied smugly, arms crossed like he had won an Oscar.
And honestly he didn’t look like the usual cheerful, dramatic Ethan at all. In the movie, he was intense. Brooding. Romantic. The way he leaned against walls, stared at the heroine with stormy eyes, saved puppies, fought twenty goons at once… and oh—the shirtless rain scene?
Nova turned red. Because Ava… was admiring it.
“Wow, he’s so serious in this,” Ava said, her eyes wide.
Nova’s eyebrow twitched. “You’ve seen it three times??” he muttered.
Before anything could escalate—
Sir Sparkleton, seated on his personal cushion, suddenly announced:
“ACTING REVIEW: Expressions—95%. Dialogue delivery—78%. Hair flips—perfect score. Chest muscles—artificially boosted.

Ethan gasped, “Sparkleton! You— You!!!”
Lilith chuckled softly, fully enjoying the drama unfolding both on-screen and off. Her chin rested on her palm, and her eyes sparkled in the screen’s glow.
But just then… she felt it.
A warm hand slipped around her waist.
Alexander, who was already sitting close on the couch, smoothly scooted even closer, his side pressing into hers. His other hand rested innocently on his lap, but the one behind her waist slowly traced the curve of her side, his fingers light but lingering.
The lights were off. Everyone else was too distracted by Ethan’s movie-star performance.
So, of course, his hand became a little bolder.
“Your hand is lost,” Lilith whispered, not even looking at him.
“Then guide me,” he whispered back, lips brushing the shell of her ear.
Her breath caught but she didn’t move away.
The movie played on. Ethan was fighting villains, Ava was cheering, Nova was sulking, Sir Sparkleton was reviewing everything like a critic… and in the shadows of the soft movie light, Lilith and her dangerous Human Doll played a game of their own.
A quiet war of touches and oh… he was winning.
The movie continued to roll, dramatic music, a teary confession, Ethan running in slow motion again but Lilith hardly heard any of it now.
Because the real drama?
Was sitting right next to her.
Alexander, her quiet storm, had slowly shifted even closer. Their arms touched. His thigh brushed hers. And then, his hand…slowly, so casually, slid down from her waist… past her hip… and rested gently on her thigh.
His thumb moved.
Just a tiny, slow stroke.
Lilith didn’t look at him. Not yet. Her heart fluttered, but her face stayed calm, like nothing was happening at all.
But then his hand moved again. A little higher this time. His fingers curling slightly, exploring softly, as if he had all the time in the world and no fear of being caught in the dark.
And she caught him.
Swift and smooth, Lilith placed her hand over his and stopped him right there.
Then she slowly turned her face toward him. The soft glow from the screen lit half her face, her eyes sharp and glittering like ocean waves in moonlight.
“Don’t be naughty,” she whispered, her voice low and sweet, her smile both warning and amusement.
Alexander looked at her, completely unashamed.
His eyes didn’t waver, not even for a second. He tilted his head slightly, lips just inches from hers.
“But I’ve been good all day,” he murmured, his voice a warm breath against her skin. “You weren’t here for hours. Do you know how long I’ve waited to do this?”
Lilith raised an eyebrow. “To be handsy under a blanket during a movie night?”
“To be close to you,” he replied, brushing his nose against her cheek, soft and lazy. “This close.”
Her breath caught But she didn’t move.
She just narrowed her eyes a little, the corner of her lips lifting. “Keep your hands still, or I’ll make sure Sir Sparkleton sleeps with you tonight.”
Alexander let out a soft, low chuckle. “Cruel.”
And yet, his hand obediently stilled under hers.
For now.
But the heat between them. It only grew. Quiet. Charged. Secret.
While everyone else watched the movie…
They were lost in their own silent scene.
