Devilish secretary - Chapter 246
Chapter 246: Chapter 246 Ray Stunt
The lights in the room were dim. A soft golden lamp glowed near the bed. Lilith stepped out of the bathroom with damp skin and fog still clinging to her lashes. A fluffy white towel was wrapped lazily around her body, and her dark hair was half-dried, falling over her shoulders like spilled ink.
She sighed softly as her bare feet touched the cool wooden floor. Her eyes shifted to the bed.
“Where is my clothes…” she murmured, annoyed.
She walked toward the bed without much thought, holding her towel tighter against her chest. But just as she reached the edge, she paused.
Tap… tap… thuk.
Her brows slowly furrowed.
There was a sound. Not from the hallway. Not from the front door. From the balcony.
Another sound came. A soft clatter. Then a faint scraping sound, like metal brushing concrete.
Her body stilled. The night breeze brushed the curtains slightly.
Lilith’s head turned slowly.
She walked toward the balcony, her towel tucked firmly as her bare shoulders shivered…not from cold, but alertness. She reached for the curtain and pushed it aside and And her eyes widened.
A fluffy head popped up.
Messy black hair, big bright eyes that sparkled like someone had tucked sunlight in them, and a dumb, crooked smile full of mischief and innocence.
“Hehehe! Hello, Miss Mystery!” he beamed like he was the sunshine itself.
“Ray?!” Lilith blinked so hard she almost lost her towel. “What the hell are you doing on my balcony?!”
Ray climbed up the rest of the way and threw his legs over casually like he was climbing into a friend’s room for fun.
“I knocked on your door and you didn’t answer. So, I climbed up! Easy!” he said proudly.
Lilith pulled the curtain and half-covered herself in disbelief. “Climbed up?! Do you think this is a playground?!”
“I brought cookies!” Ray said innocently, then his expression fell. “…But I dropped them when I slipped on the third floor railing… hehe.”
Lilith stared.
Her towel, the curtain, her patience…everything was hanging by a thread.
“If Alexander finds out later,” she said through gritted teeth, “you’ll be buried under this balcony. I won’t even blink.”
Ray gasped, looked dramatically left and right like a thief caught in a trap, then whispered loudly, “How can he bury own body—? Pfft, whatever. You look like a royal mermaid tonight, my queen.”
Lilith’s eye twitched. “I’m in a towel.”
“A towel of beauty!” he replied with full passion.
“Don’t try such dangerous stunts again,” Lilith said calmly, her voice soft but firm. Her deep eyes carried a quiet yet undeniable concern as she watched Ray enter the room, carefree and grinning brightly like a ray of sunshine. Despite her warning, she couldn’t deny that the sight of him climbing balcony for her warmed her heart strangely.
Ray, with his messy hair and innocent eyes, glanced around the room curiously, but his attention quickly returned to Lilith. Only then did he fully realize how breathtaking she looked standing there wrapped loosely in a white towel. Her long, damp hair cascaded beautifully down her back, her bare shoulders glistened softly under the warm glow of the dim lighting, and her flawless skin seemed to glow from within.
Lilith noticed the way Ray’s eyes lingered on her, but instead of feeling shy, she stood confidently, arching an eyebrow playfully at him. She was bold, fearless, and undeniably beautiful and she knew it perfectly.
“Ray, are you done staring?” she teased gently, lips curving into a knowing smile as she turned to walk toward the wardrobe to find something comfortable to wear.
But before she could step away, Ray boldly caught her wrist and tugged her softly toward himself. Surprised yet amused, Lilith allowed herself to be pulled into his arms. Ray’s embrace was surprisingly strong yet tender, wrapping her warmly as if he’d been waiting for this very moment forever.

“I missed you soooo much,” Ray murmured sweetly, nuzzling into her neck softly, rubbing his cheek affectionately like a spoiled kitten finally reunited with his favorite person.
Lilith felt warmth spreading in her chest, her heart softened by his pure, innocent affection. She smiled softly and gently placed her hand on his back, giving him a comforting pat.
However, Ray’s hug grew tighter in his excitement, and without warning, the towel slipped from her grasp, pooling quietly at her feet. For a brief moment, the room fell into complete silence.
Ray’s eyes widened dramatically, his face instantly reddening. He instinctively tried to close his eyes, but his eyelids betrayed him, glued helplessly to the stunning vision before him.
Yet Lilith stood there, utterly calm and completely unbothered. She didn’t panic or scramble to cover herself. Instead, she raised her chin slightly, an elegant smirk gracing her lips, exuding the kind of confident beauty only a true queen could possess.
“Enjoying the view?” she asked her voice silky and smooth.
Ray stuttered, his face burning, yet he couldn’t help but smile shyly. “Ah—I’m… I’m sorry—b-but you really look… breathtakingly beautiful, Miss M-mystery.”
Lilith tilted her head slightly, amused yet pleased by his genuine compliment. She bent down gracefully, retrieved her towel, and wrapped it slowly around herself again, never breaking eye contact with Ray, her movements intentionally slow and captivating.
Ray stood frozen, still mesmerized, his heart thumping wildly in his chest.
Lilith finally stepped closer, tapping his nose gently with her finger. “Next time, make sure your surprises don’t risk your neck,” she warned softly, eyes glittering warmly. “I’d hate to see you get hurt.”
Ray blinked slowly, and a wide, shyly delighted smile spread across his face.
“Yes, Miss Mystery,” he said softly, grinning brightly like the happiest fool alive.
Lilith chuckled softly, shaking her head in amusement as she gracefully turned away, leaving him standing there…utterly enchanted, heart captured completely by the her.
Ray stood by the bed, his sunny eyes full of complaint as he watched Lilith slip gracefully into a dark, comfortable nightdress. The silky fabric draped perfectly along the gentle curves of her body, accentuating her natural elegance, even when she wasn’t trying.
