Lia laughed breathily, brushing his worry off with ease. “It’s okay, Ray. I just twisted my ankle a little. I was walking out of the studio to get better network coverage to talk to you. Silly me, right?”

The man raised a brow. “And what about your previous lover—the director? Did he let you go easily?”

“Oh,” she said with a shrug, “I threatened him last week. Told him I had photos of his affair with that actress. If he didn’t let me go, I’d send them to his wife.” She smirked.

The man laughed again, tipping her chin up. “You’re dangerous.”

She smiled sweetly, her lips brushing against his. “Only when I’m bored.”

Lia now rested her head on soft pillow as she sat in bed beside her co-actor after another intense activity, the expensive wine glass in her hand as she stared at nothing in particular.
