Chapter 282: Chapter 282 Sienna’s little game would be over
“Sir, what should I do? PR is already trying to handle the whole situation,” Assistant Quinn asked carefully as he stood in the doorway of the office, tablet in hand, eyes flickering with nervousness. The air in the office was heavy, not just with tension but with something far colder. Because it wasn’t Gray who was sitting behind the desk in morning. It was Alexander.

Alexander had taken control.

The moment he woke up and saw the mess Sienna had created, he took the reins from Gray without discussion. Because unlike Gray, he wasn’t interested in playing around anymore. And frankly, he was tired of Sienna. Personally.

He sat with his hands calmly folded under his chin, suit perfect, expression unreadable but his eyes were sharp, focused, deadly silent.

It wasn’t the first time he had to clean up after Sienna’s attention-seeking chaos, but this… this was the last time. She had crossed every line. Bringing Grandma Bria’s death into it. Spinning herself into the victim. Calling herself the fiancée. And worse—bringing Lilith into her lies. Dragging her name, her peace, her past into a circus of staged tears and paparazzi.

Alexander’s jaw tightened slightly as he glanced at the screen in front of him. The video was still playing—Sienna sobbing dramatically about grief and betrayal, while fake tears clung to her lashes like a performance rehearsal. He didn’t feel amusement. He didn’t feel pity.

He felt done.

Every time he remembered how much effort went into tolerating, the anger inside him burned sharper.

He had never liked her.

But now… he wanted her gone.

His voice was low but firm when he finally spoke. “Tell PR not to say anything more.”

Quinn looked confused. “Not say anything, sir?”

Alexander leaned back slowly. “No more statements. Let the people speak for a day. Let the noise rise.”

Quinn hesitated, but nodded.

Alexander’s eyes darkened slightly as he added, “Prepare a file. Everything we have on Sienna. I want it clean. Names, footage, internal memos. And make sure the legal team is awake. It’s time she learns she was never untouchable.”

And soon…

Sienna’s little game would be over.

Alexander’s phone buzzed once. The name on the screen made his expression twist in quiet irritation—Sienna.

He stared at it for a second, considering whether to decline without a word. But curiosity got the better of him. He wanted to hear what nonsense she’d come up with now.

He answered the call, but didn’t say anything first.

And then her voice poured through the speaker—soft, coated in false sweetness, like sugar hiding poison.

“Sebby…” she whispered, as if she still had any right to call him that. “I know this is hard for you. All this noise. The interviews, the drama, the pressure… You’re a businessman, not a fighter. You don’t like mess.”

Alexander said nothing.

She continued, her tone growing more confident, as if she truly believed she held power in this moment.

“But I can help you fix everything. I can make this go away.” She paused like she was offering him something valuable. “If you really want this to end… you need to make a decision.”

His eyes narrowed, fingers tapping the armrest once.

“Break up with Lilith.” Her voice was calm, almost pleased. “Be with me instead. The world already sees us as a couple. They support me. I’ve been loyal to your family, I stayed quiet when no one else did… and I’ve always loved you, Sebby.”

Alexander’s lips parted slightly, stunned at her boldness but not surprised.

“I’m waiting for you,” she added. “Royal Hotel. Room 101. Come to me tonight, and we’ll fix this together.”

And then she hung up.

Alexander stared at the screen for a long time. The silence in the office thickened.

His reflection stared back at him through the black glass of his phone. His fingers curled slowly around the edges.

She really thinks he’d trade Lilith… for her?

Was he that stupid?

Alexander stared at his phone for a moment longer, then slowly set it down on the table. The room around him was still, but his thoughts were already moving like a quiet storm. Sienna’s voice still echoed in his ear—sweet, pleading, soft enough to fool someone who didn’t know her.

But Alexander wasn’t one of those people. He had seen through her years ago. Her fake tears. Her forced innocence. Her obsession hidden beneath expensive perfumes and staged smiles. She always played the long game, twisting her position in every room until she made herself the victim.

And now she thought he’d fall for it?

That he’d break up with Lilith?

Just to clean up her mess?

Alexander’s jaw tightened, but a smile tugged faintly at the edge of his lips.

She thought he’d walk into that hotel room like a blind fool.

But tonight… she wasn’t the hunter.

Tonight, he was going to trap her in her own web.

The soft knock on his office door broke the silence, and before he could say a word, she stepped in—professionally.

Her back straight, her movements elegant, and the soft clicking of her heels echoing across the floor.

Lilith walked in like she was just any secretary handling her daily tasks, holding a file in her hands, her expression calm and composed.

But Alexander, who had known her longer than anyone else in this building, noticed it instantly, the slight gleam in her eyes, the teasing curve that didn’t quite reach her lips.

Her mouth remained a straight line, but her gaze… her gaze was smiling. Amused. Dangerous. Playful.

She placed the file on his desk and stood in front of him with perfect posture, waiting like any obedient employee. And yet, the office felt hotter.

He leaned back in his chair, folding his arms, pretending to read the file. “You’re late,” he said in a low voice, watching her from the corner of his eye.

“Oh?” she blinked innocently. “I didn’t know submitting documents two minutes early was considered late now.” He didn’t answer. Just stared. And she stared back.

The air between them felt thick, their silence louder than any words.

“Is there anything else, Mr. Carter?” she asked, her voice polite.

He stood up slowly, walking around the desk until he was right in front of her, towering just enough.
