Chapter 29: Chapter 29 What€™s going on with him?
“It’s lunch break, and everyone’s out of the office.
We have to quickly delete Lilith’s presentation…” Ana said coldly, a sharp look in her eyes as she scanned the empty workspace.
Her best friend, Kelly, stood beside her, looking unsure.
“But… it’s an important meeting,” Kelly said, her voice wavering.
“The company might suffer big losses if the presentation’s gone…” “So what!” Ana snapped, her eyes flaring with anger.
“It’s because of her.
If Seby finds out she failed, he’ll fire that b*tch.” Her fists clenched as she spoke, clearly fuming.
Kelly bit her lip, glancing nervously toward the door.
“But… are you sure this is right?
What if someone finds out?” Ana rolled her eyes.
“No one will.
Everyone’s gone.” Kelly looked around one last time, clearly still hesitant, but Ana had already pulled up Lilith’s computer and located the presentation file.
Just as she was about to hit delete, a shadow fell across the screen, she quickly closed windows.
“Interesting conversation,” a calm, amused voice said from behind them.
Ana and Kelly spun around to see Lilith standing there, one eyebrow raised and an unmistakable smirk on her face.
She looked at them with a mix of amusement and something else… something colder.
“Oh, don’t mind me,” Lilith continued casually, stepping closer.
“I just forgot my phone.” Ana’s face went pale, her hand hovering awkwardly over the keyboard.
“We… we were just…” Lilith didn’t let her finish.
She leaned forward, eyes narrowing as her voice dropped to a whisper.
“It’s amazing, isn’t it?” she murmured, “how some people think they can mess with others and get away with it.” Kelly took a step back, clearly frightened, while Ana’s anger melted into a visible fear.
Lilith’s smirk grew, but she said nothing more.
She reached down, picked up her phone, and then, without another word, strolled back out of the office, heels clicking against the floor, leaving Ana and Kelly frozen in place.
Once Lilith was gone, Kelly finally whispered, “Ana… do you think she knew?” Ana swallowed hard, her expression darkening.
“She might not know.
After all, we’re strangers to her.
Let’s delete it,” she said with a smirk, opening windows again and pressing delete on Lilith’s presentation file.
After deleting the file, Ana glanced at her friend triumphantly.

“We don’t know her computer password… How should we delete something really important without access?” Ana smirked, looking satisfied.
Finally, Kelly looked a bit more relaxed and managed a small smile.
“But… what about the cameras?” Ana rolled her eyes, waving her hand dismissively.
“Don’t worry about that.
My Daddy will handle it if anything comes up.
Now, come on!
Unless you want us to get caught?” She tugged Kelly along, trying to sound confident.
Kelly let out a nervous laugh.
“You always have a plan, don’t you?” Ana smirked, her confidence high.
“Of course!
Stick with me, and nothing will go wrong.” She held her head high, convinced she had covered all her tracks.
But neither of them noticed the tiny, blinking red light in the corner of the office-one that was recording every second of their little sabotage.
*** Everyone on the CEO floor was in a rush, preparing for the important meeting.
The tension in the air was thick, and you could feel the pressure as everyone worked to get everything ready.
In the meeting room, Sebastian sat in the main chair, looking calm but focused.
His usual cold, intense aura was there, but his eyes were sharp, taking in everything around him.
Lilith sat beside him on his right, her face a mask of professionalism, ready to handle whatever came next.
On his left sat his assistant.
The foreign clients sat on the other side, waiting for the meeting to begin.
After a few moments of casual greetings, Sebastian subtly nodded toward Lilith, signaling her to start.
She gave him a slight nod back and stood up, her high heels clicking softly on the floor as she made her way to the projector.
She clicked a button, and the first slide of her presentation flashed onto the screen, the words bold and clear.
What Ana and Kelly didn’t know was that Lilith had already planned for this.
They thought they had deleted her files, but they had only deleted what they could see.
Lilith had made sure to back up everything, and it was all safely stored in a hidden file, Their little act was caught on the hidden office camera.
She smiled to herself, knowing she had outplayed them.
Even without her powers, she was still clever.
She might not have been the same devil from her past life, but Lilith was not someone to be underestimated.
As she went on with her presentation, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction.
Those two little girls thought they had outsmarted her.
They had no idea who they were dealing with.
Lilith’s voice carried through the room with authority, capturing everyone’s attention.
Her confidence and the way she spoke made even Sebastian look at her with a hint of approval in his eyes.
For a man who was known for demanding absolute perfection, that look meant a lot.
But then, as Sebastian’s turn to speak approached, Lilith noticed something off about him.
His eyes, usually sharp and penetrating, seemed distant, almost unfocused.
He sat unusually stiff, and there was an odd fear flickering in his gaze.
What’s going on with him?
she wondered, her mind racing.
This wasn’t the Human doll she was used to.
“Sir…” she called gently, walking over to him with her heels clicking on the polished floor.
The heads in the room turned, but many of the men seemed momentarily distracted by Lilith’s graceful approach and her striking features.
Her perfect, confident face didn’t betray any of her thoughts as she studied Sebastian up close.
He looked at her blankly, his gaze distant, his dark eyes unusually soft and warm.
She realized, with some surprise, that his eyes weren’t their usual intense dark color but a lighter, almost glassy black.
It was as if he was struggling to stay present.
“Mr.
Carter…” someone else called out, noticing his unusual state, but he still seemed lost, like he didn’t fully understand what was happening around him.
