Chapter 296: Chapter 296 Tempered footage of Police stati
He opened his mouth, about to say something—

Before Alexander could speak, Sir Sparkleton rolled out of the room like a soldier returning from war, his small metal hands tightly gripping a broom. His glowing eyes blinked cheerfully.

“MASTER! MASTER! WELCOME TO OUR HOME!” he chirped proudly. “WOULD YOU LIKE WATER, OR NO WATER AT ALL?”

Alexander stared at him with the most unimpressed expression imaginable. He folded his arms slowly. “Why is Lilith sweeping the floor while you’re holding a broom like a party prop?”

Sir Sparkleton’s screen face blinked once.

Then twice.

He slowly turned his head toward Lilith, who was calmly sweeping a corner of the room again like none of them existed.

“MISS LILITH!” he beeped dramatically, rolling at high speed to her side. “YOU SHOULDN’T BE SWEEPING! I PROMISED MASTER I WOULD TAKE CARE OF YOU! I SWORE A DIGITAL OATH ON HIS WIFI SIGNAL!”

Lilith raised an eyebrow. “I didn’t ask—”

“PLEASE SURRENDER YOUR BROOM. I WILL NOW ENGAGE ‘ULTIMATE CLEANING PROTOCOL.'”

And before she could finish, Sparkleton gently snatched the broom from her hands, now gripping both like twin swords. With a swift turn, he began sweeping both sides of the room at once in synchronized figure eights, making robotic shh shh sounds as he moved.

Alexander nodded in satisfaction, lips tugging into a victorious smirk. “That’s better.”

Lilith looked at them both with tired amusement.

Suddenly, his phone rang, and he pulled it out of his pocket

He glanced at the screen, his brow tightening slightly.

He picked it up. “Hmm… yes. I understand.”

Lilith didn’t say anything, but the slight change in his face told her enough.

He lowered the phone and looked at her, guilt flickering across his features. “Lili,” he said softly, stepping closer, “I have to leave… There’s an emergency at the company.”

Lilith simply nodded, her face unreadable, calm as always. She didn’t ask for details. She didn’t guilt him.

Alexander hesitated, watching her carefully, then added quickly, “But don’t do all the work yourself, okay? I already arranged for workers. They’ll be here soon. You’re not alone.”

And then He leaned down, gently pressing a kiss to her forehead.

Before leaving, Alexander paused again just for a second and then pulled her into a tight hug. It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t light. It was the kind of hug that made her feel like time had stopped.

With one last look, he turned and left, his car door shutting softly behind him.

Lilith stood at the door for a moment, watching the empty road. Then, she stepped back inside.

Not long after, the workers he had arranged arrived quiet, respectful, and efficient. They didn’t ask many questions, and under Lilith’s calm direction, the house slowly began to change. Dust was swept out. Shelves were wiped clean. The kitchen was organized, and the mattress Alexander had secretly arranged earlier was brought in and laid across the wooden frame.

By nightfall, the house was clean and Livable.

Alexander’s footsteps echoed down the dim hallway as he approached the holding cell. His face was unreadable. Cold. Stone-carved. The kind of expression that sent guards shifting uncomfortably and made silence follow in his wake.

When Sienna saw him, her swollen face lit up with trembling hope. “Sebby…” she whimpered, dragging herself closer to the bars. Her body ached in ways she didn’t understand burning joints, heavy limbs, sharp throbs in places that hadn’t even been touched. It wasn’t just pain, it was confusion wrapped in suffering.

She had no proof of what happened to her that night…

Alexander stood still, his gaze dropping to her. No emotion. No pity.

He had already made sure his connections tightened around her case like chains. No bail. No sympathy. He’d even personally cancelled the multi-million partnership with her father, Mr. Blake, a decision that had shaken half the boardroom.

Strangely, Mr. Blake hadn’t fought it. Not even once. Which only made things more suspicious.

Alexander had done his digging.

Turned out… Mr. Blake had an illegitimate son..smart, quiet, and raised abroad. And from the look of things… he was grooming him to take the Blake name forward. Not Sienna.

The same daughter he once pampered like a doll was abandoned.

“Sebby… do you know? Lilith—she came here!” Sienna suddenly cried louder, her voice breaking. “She wore a police uniform and beat me up. I swear—I don’t even know what she did to me! My body still hurts! No one believes me… everyone thinks I’m mad! But I know it! She was here!”

Alexander’s cold eyes narrowed.

“Lilith came here…?” he repeated slowly, eyes gleaming with something unreadable.

Sienna nodded quickly, crawling closer, her face pale and swollen. “Yes! The day of the hotel—after everything happened… woooo… she came dressed as an officer! She pretended, Sebby… and I swear, she broke my body. I feel it. I feel it!”

Alexander stared at her.

And then… he smiled.

A slow, terrifying smile.

His voice was like frost on glass.

“You should be thankful you’re still alive, Sienna.” He paused. “Because if I had to cover your death for her… I would have done it. Happily.”

Sienna’s breath caught.

And before she could react he turned sharply to one of the guards.

“Pull footage from that day. I want every second.”

A few minutes later, they came back. Everything appeared completely normal. There was no sign of Lilith, no uniform, and no evidence of a any entry.

Just time passing. Frame by frame. Like nothing ever happened.

Alexander leaned back in his chair, brows furrowing.

Even the cameras couldn’t catch her.

His lips parted slightly.

What did she do…?

He tapped on his phone quickly, scrolling through his encrypted contacts, and within minutes, reached out to someone under the dark web: @BlackKnight—a fixer known in quiet, dangerous circles for getting the impossible done.

@SCarter: Need access to unfiltered footage. Something’s been wiped clean.

@BlackKnight: Alright. I’ll help. My friend needs money. She’s fast. Quiet. She’ll do your job within an hour.

@SCarter: How much?

@BlackKnight: Not me. You talk to her directly. Here’s her ID.

He sent the tag: @Bellatrix_19

The moment Alexander opened the private chat, her status was already green.

Seconds later, a simple message arrived.

@Bellatrix_19: Hello, sir. I heard you need help with something.

Professional.

Clean.

No unnecessary emojis. No fake friendliness.

Alexander replied: I need the unedited footage from the police station—date and time range attached. Someone tampered with it. I want the truth.
