Chapter 300: Chapter 300 Idiot
The more she thought about Lilith, the more her head throbbed. Her limbs ached. Her bones felt like glass.

“Poison,” she whispered.

Her eyes darted around the cell.

“She must’ve poisoned me. Some secret… invisible undetectable poison! That’s why no one believes me—it’s not normal!” she said, voice trembling with rage.

Her hands clawed at the concrete floor, nails chipping.

“This is her! Lilith! That bit*h!she poisoned me—!”

A loud voice snapped her out of her spiral.

“Can you shut up already?!” shouted the woman in the next cell, her voice rough from too many cigarettes and far too little patience.

“I’ve been in here for two days and you’ve cried twenty-three times, laughed nine, and accused someone of poisoning you with invisible smoke. What are you on?!”

Sienna’s mouth fell open.

She opened her lips to reply, but all she could manage was a pathetic sniff.

And the woman added with a snort, “You don’t need poison, sweetheart. You’re rotting all on your own.”

“Who do you think you are?!” Sienna snapped, her voice shrill, echoing off the dirty walls. She stood up, hair messy, face flushed with fury. “If I tell my daddy what you said, he’ll have you killed, you low-class trash!”

The woman in the next cell didn’t flinch.

She just leaned against the bars with a smirk, one eye bruised, the other glittering with amusement. “Sweetheart, if your daddy could save you, you wouldn’t be in here, whining like a scared puppy. You’re nothing but a spoiled brat with no backup left.”

Sienna’s hands clenched into fists.

She launched forward, grabbing at the bars, trying to swing through the gaps like her anger could reach beyond iron.

“You don’t know who I am—!”

“Oh, I know who you are,” the woman spat, stepping up just as close. “You’re the girl crying about invisible poison. You’re the girl nobody came to pick up. You’re the girl your daddy replaced with a son from overseas.” She sneered. “And you’re the girl who’s going to rot here while the world forgets your name.”

Sienna shrieked and slammed her palms against the metal. “Shut up! Shut up! I’ll destroy you! I’ll—”

“ENOUGH!”

A loud, thunderous voice cracked through the air as a police officer stomped down the hall, baton slamming against the bars.

Both women fell silent instantly.

“One more word,” the officer growled, pointing at them both, “and I’ll make sure neither of you get your dinner tonight. You want to scream like alley cats? I’ll treat you like strays.”

Sienna stepped back, breath trembling.

The woman just rolled her eyes and sat down, smirking.

But Sienna’s rage didn’t disappear.

It simply curled deeper inside her like fire buried under ash.

Just wait, Lilith…

Just wait until he arrives.

Alexander stared at the screen like a man bewitched.

There she was.

Lilith.

Wearing that police uniform—tight, sharp, hugging her body like it was custom-made by the devil himself. The way she walked through the hallway, cool and lethal, like justice and temptation had collided into one deadly woman.

And she went there…

For him.

She didn’t just scare just Sienna, she punished her in silence without leaving a single real trace.

He smirked.

So that’s why Sienna felt like she’d been hit by a ghost.

His Lilith.

His Queen.

He shut the phone off and turned, heart racing again—desire rekindling like fire catching wind.

Lilith was asleep beside him, her back facing him, her hair loose, one arm tucked under her cheek. Her breathing was steady. Peaceful.

“Lili…” he whispered, crawling closer.

She groaned, “What…”

“I want your help…”

“Mmm? Help yourself…” she muttered, voice thick with sleep. “My hands are sore because of you… Now you’re horny again?”

Alexander flinched slightly. Exposed. “…No.”

“Yes,” she grumbled into the pillow, “First you keep me up till late helping your ‘CEO body’ release tension, now you wake me in the middle of the night? Heh. Go hug your pillow.”

He pouted and rubbed her waist gently, trying to act innocent. “Lili…”

“No.”

“Just one kiss.”

“No.”

“Okay, two kisses.”

She turned her head slightly, one eye half open. “You have work early morning.”

“I’m the CEO.”

Lilith blinked at him slowly.

“You’re also my patient,” she said, voice dry. “Recovering from head injury. Touch me one more time and I’ll hit you back into coma.”

Alexander fell back, groaning into the pillow. “You used to be sweet…”

Crazy man!

“I used to be sane,” she mumbled, already half-asleep again.

He stared at the ceiling.

Silence.

Then he whispered again.

“…But can I at least stare at you?”

“No.”

“But I’m already doing it.”

“…Idiot.”

Lilith was dreaming of silence.

Warm blankets. Faint birdsong. Peace.

And then—

“Lili…” a deep whisper sliced through her dream like an alarm clock from heaven.

Her eyes cracked open, just enough to make out the time on the bedside clock.

It was still dark outside.

She turned her head, slowly, like a ghost in a horror film.

Alexander was hovering beside her, hair tousled, lips parted in the most unapologetically hot way and eyes gleaming with one very clear intention.

“…It’s 5:45,” she said, voice hoarse, half-asleep. “Do you want to die?”

He smiled sweetly. “No. I want your help.”

Her hand slowly lifted with no warning—smack! Right onto his chest.

“Ow!”

“You kept me up till past 1 AM. Then you had the audacity to try again at 2:30. Now it’s not even six o’clock and you’re staring at me like a wolf in heat?”

Alexander blinked.

“…You remembered the time?”

“I was counting,” she said, turning back into the pillow.

But he wasn’t done.

He leaned down, resting his chin on her shoulder, speaking in that too-soft, too-dramatic voice.

“You said you’d help me… and you still owe me.”

Lilith opened one eye.

“For what?”

Alexander looked offended. “For life.”

She groaned and rolled over, covering her face with the pillow.

He whispered, “Just five minutes. That’s all I need.”

She peeked out slowly.

“…You said that yesterday too.”

“I’m the CEO.”

“And I’m going to file for emotional harassment if you keep this up,” she snapped.

But as he looked at her with puppy eyes and a shameless grin…

She already knew—

She was going to help him anyway.

Eventually.

After throwing a pillow at his head first.
