Chapter 320: Chapter 320 Surprise 2
“Love you,” he whispered as his lips brushed her forehead, then her nose, then her cheeks..soft and reverent, like every part of her was something holy.

“You’re such a sweetheart, Lili,” he murmured, his voice trembling with emotion. “You’re melting me, do you even know that?”

Lilith smiled gently, then reached up and slowly pulled him away from her embrace.

Before he could question it, she covered his eyes with her warm hands.

“Lili?” he whispered, a bit lost in the dark.

“Trust me,” she said, her voice a blend of excitement and emotion.

He stilled. Then nodded. “Alright…”

With his hands still gently covering his own eyes, Alexander let her guide him forward through the snow. The only sounds were their footsteps crunching quietly and the distant flicker of streetlamps.

Lilith walked him toward the car, her heart thudding in her chest, not from nerves, but from wanting this moment to be perfect.

Once they reached the back of the car, she stepped behind him, opened the trunk slowly, careful not to let the noise give it away—and then…

She removed her hands.

“Now,” she whispered.

And when Alexander opened his eyes—

He froze.

His breath caught.

Inside the trunk, glowing under a blanket of fairy lights. A custom cake with his name. A little figurine of his three personalities standing together beside a tiny Lilith doll with him. A note carved in glowing script: “Happy Birthday, Human Doll.”

His lips parted, eyes wide like a child seeing snow for the first time. “Lili…” he breathed. “What… how…”

She just smiled.

Alexander looked at the figurines again and for a moment, it really did feel like Gray, Ray, and Darkness were standing beside him.

And he—

He suddenly turned, cupped her cheeks, and kissed her so tenderly, it made her forget the cold.

“I don’t care how many birthdays I have after this,” he whispered against her lips, “This is already my favorite.”

“Then your favorite is going to change every year,” Lilith said with a confident smirk as she opened the car door for him like a proper lady boss.

Alexander chuckled and slid into the passenger seat, still in a daze from the surprise.

Lilith walked around and got into the driver’s seat, her white sweater hugging her just right, hair falling over her shoulder, minimal makeup glowing softly under the dashboard lights.

She fastened her seatbelt and turned the key, her fingers long and elegant, movements smooth. The engine hummed to life.

Alexander leaned his head on his hand, watching her like a man under a spell.

“You look hot while driving,” he muttered.

“Focus on the road,” she said, not even glancing at him.

“Can’t. Too distracting.”

His hand casually slid onto her thigh.

She shot him a sharp look from the corner of her eye.

Alexander just grinned. “Where are we going?”

Lilith didn’t answer right away. She shifted gears, lips curving into a secretive smile.

“Surprise,” she finally said.

And with that, she pressed the pedal and they drove off into the snow-draped night, the warmth between them only growing stronger with every mile.

Alexander’s fingers were tracing slow, lazy patterns on her thigh, the pads of his fingers warm against the fabric of her pants. His touch was light, teasing, lingering just enough to make her skin tingle beneath the layers.

Lilith shifted slightly in her seat, her grip tightening on the steering wheel. The road ahead was quiet and coated in white, but inside the car, the heat was slowly rising.

“I’m driving, human doll,” she murmured, her voice low and edged with warning but it wasn’t stern. It was breathy. Almost a whisper that trembled with awareness.

He leaned in closer, his voice brushing the shell of her ear like velvet. “Then drive carefully, baby. Because I’m losing control.”

Her breath caught.

Alexander’s hand slid just a little higher, fingers pressing slightly through the thick fabric of her sweater. It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t impatient. It was intentional.

Lilith’s lips parted, eyes still on the road, but her heart wasn’t. It was somewhere between his fingers and the way he looked at her like she was the only warmth in this snow-covered world.

“You keep this up,” she warned softly, “and I’ll park this car somewhere dark and make you regret it.”

He chuckled, lips brushing the side of her cheek, close but not kissing. “Then maybe I’ll keep going.”

The snow outside blurred past in soft streaks of white, but in that car, time had slowed. And though her hands held the wheel, it was clear who was making her lose control.

Finally, when they reached the hidden spot tucked away behind a snowy hill, Lilith unbuckled her seatbelt with a graceful tug and stepped out into the cold night air.

She moved to his side and opened the door for him like a proper hostess, her breath curling in the cold air. Alexander stepped out slowly, eyes still adjusting until he saw the scene before him.

Lilith gently took his hand, her fingers threading between his, warm and sure. “Come with me,” she whispered.

As they walked, a path of soft golden lights flickered to life under their steps, casting a gentle glow across the snow like scattered stars.

Alexander’s eyes shone, the reflection of the lights dancing in their depths.

Nestled at the end of the glowing path was an inflatable camping tent but it looked nothing like something you’d take on a normal hike. It was large, round, and softly glowing from within.

The tent was decorated with delicate golden fairy lights, warm throws, plush pillows, and thick blankets. Inside, it looked like a slice of heaven…cosy, intimate, and glowing softly like her heart had been poured into every detail.

“You’re sleeping here tonight,” Lilith said, turning to him with a soft smile. Her cheeks were kissed pink by the cold, her hair tousled by the wind, and her eyes gleamed like moonlight wrapped in mischief.

Alexander couldn’t speak for a moment. He just stared at her, overwhelmed by how beautiful she looked against the glowing tent, the snow underfoot, and the effort she had poured into this surprise.

“…With me, right?” he finally said, voice low.

Lilith laughed softly, the sound warming the cold night.

“We’ll see how good you behave,” she whispered, tugging him forward by the hand.
