Devilish secretary - Chapter 321
Chapter 321: Chapter 321 Birthday sweet
The tent was thoughtfully divided into two parts–one side filled with cozy pillows, a heater, and soft golden lights, while the other had a small private section where Lilith went to change. The thin fabric between them glowed from the warm lights outside, turning her silhouette into a soft, moving shadow.
Alexander sat quietly on the edge of the blanket, but his heart wasn’t quiet at all. His breath slowed as his eyes drifted…drawn, helplessly, to the graceful outline behind the divider. He could see the curve of her back as she unzipped her sweater, the gentle arch of her waist as she reached up to fix her hair, the moment she turned slightly and even though nothing explicit was visible, it was more sensual than if she’d been bare before him.
It wasn’t the skin, it was the slow, unhurried way she moved. The elegance in her gestures. The comfort she had in her body. The soft rustling of fabric, the way her silhouette shifted, paused, and swayed again, it made his mouth go dry.
He swallowed. Hard.
His hand clenched the edge of the blanket beneath him.
God. She had no idea what she was doing to him.
By the time Lilith finally stepped out wearing a long, creamy sweater dress that hugged her in all the right places and fell just above her thighs—Alexander was sitting absolutely still, his face calm but his eyes burning.
She smiled, completely unaware of how breathless he’d become just from a shadow. “Your turn to change if you want,” she said casually.
“Alright,” he said. “But I don’t have any clothes here.”
“I brought them. Don’t worry,” Lilith replied calmly as she walked to the corner, pulling out a soft blue night suit from her bag.
He took the soft blue night suit from her hands, his fingers brushing against hers for a fleeting moment.
Alexander’s eyes focused on her face, a second too long, dark and deep. Then, without a word, he turned and disappeared behind the divider to change.
Lilith casually picked up her phone, pretending to scroll, but her eyes drifted. The soft golden light from inside the tent gently backlit the divider, and her gaze landed on the shifting silhouette just as he pulled off his shirt.
Her thumb stopped moving. Her breath paused.
She wasn’t supposed to look.
But she did.
The outline of his body… tall, muscular and toned was clear enough to make her heart skip. The smooth curve of his back, the way his muscles flexed as he moved, the brief moment he bent slightly, and—
She squeezed her eyes shut. Oh god.
Her throat went dry. She gulped.
She didn’t mean to stare, but now her heart was racing like it had forgotten how to beat properly.
This is fine, she told herself. It’s just a shadow. A harmless, soft, dark shadow…
But all she could think about was how his shadow was more sinful than any man she’d ever seen in real life.
And worst of all, her cheeks were on fire.
“Done,” his voice came from behind the divider.
Lilith quickly looked away from the fabric like she’d been doing something criminal. “Y-Yeah. Cool. Let’s eat.”
She didn’t even realize she was still holding her phone upside down.
“Lili… it’s late night, I’m not really hungry,” Alexander said, his voice soft as he looked at her glowing in the warm tent light.
Lilith glanced at him with a small smile, her eyes teasing. “But I’m hungry.”
That one look was enough to make his lips twitch upward. “Then… I guess I’m starving too,” he said, leaning back with a lazy grin.
As she rolled up her sleeves and began preparing the simple meal over the little camping stove, Alexander couldn’t take his eyes off her. The golden fairy lights reflected in her eyes, her expression focused and content, strands of her hair falling gently over her face. She looked like a dream that had stepped into his world only to make it warmer.

Every now and then, he’d sneak up behind her and press a kiss on her cheek… or her temple… or just wrap his arms around her waist, burying his nose in her shoulder like he wanted to inhale her.
“Behave,” she said with a chuckle, lightly pushing him back with a spoon.
“I am. I’m taste testing,” he murmured, stealing a kiss instead of food.
Finally, when the food was ready and the tent was filled with the smell of something warm and comforting, the two of them sat cross-legged across from each other, sharing bites, laughter, and soft glances.

After eating, Alexander nestled into the cozy blanket, watching with sleepy eyes as Lilith moved around the tent, closing the entrance and dimming the lights until only a warm, soft glow remained. The world outside was quiet…just snow, fog, and the gentle hush of winter but inside the tent, it felt like a secret world just for them.
When Lilith finally slipped beside him on the low, heated bed, Alexander didn’t wait. He leaned over her slowly, his face close, eyes gleaming with a boyish mischief and something deeper. Lilith smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close in a gentle hug.
“I want my birthday sweet,” he whispered, voice thick with meaning, his lips brushing her ear.
Lilith blinked, then suddenly sat up. “Oh no! We forgot the cake!”
Before he could catch her again, she pushed him down gently and scrambled out of the tent, tugging on her sweater and rushing barefoot into the cold. The snow nipped at her toes, but the rush made her laugh softly. She opened the car, relieved to find the cake still safe and perfect, and carried it carefully back inside.
When she stepped into the warm tent again, her cheeks pink from the cold, Alexander was sitting on the bed with his arms crossed, his expression adorably grumpy.
Lilith held out the cake with a triumphant smile. “Here’s your birthday sweet, human doll.”
He stared at her, then at the cake… and then at her again.
“I was talking about you,” he muttered, but his lips curved into a helpless smile as she placed the cake down between them
