Chapter 48: Chapter 48 Don’t touch her again Chapter 48: Chapter 48 Don’t touch her again “You two better sit quietly, or I might actually show you what scary really looks like,” she said with a smirk, her voice low and teasing.
Both Ava and Nova nodded like obedient children, still huddled together and whispering about how to stay on Lilith’s good side for the rest of the night.
Lilith, feeling satisfied after ensuring Ava and Nova wouldn’t get into any more trouble, spotted one of Ava’s colleagues, someone she’d seen Ava talking to before.
Deciding it was best to delegate, she approached her.
Nora froze as soon as she noticed Lilith walking toward her.
Her eyes widened in shock-Lilith rarely spoke to anyone except Ava and Nova, and her intimidating aura didn’t help calm Nora’s nerves.
“Y-yes, M-Miss Lilith?” Nora stammered, her voice shaky.
Lilith gave her a brief, piercing look before pointing at the sofa where Ava and Nova were slumped.
“Take care of them,” she said simply.
Nora nodded rapidly, feeling too scared to do anything but comply.
“Y-yes, of course, Miss Lilith.” Satisfied, Lilith made her way to the counter to get some lemon water, hoping it would help sober up the chaotic duo.
When she returned with the glass, however, she stopped in her tracks.
Both Ava and Nova were curled up on the sofa, fast asleep.
Ava was hugging Nova like a pillow, and Nova was snoring lightly, clutching Ava hands.
Nora, who had stayed nearby, burst into laughter at the sight.
Lilith raised an eyebrow, setting the glass down on the table.
“They didn’t even need the lemon water,” she muttered.
Nora grinned, though she quickly suppressed it when Lilith glanced at her.
“They must’ve worn themselves out.” Lilith sighed but couldn’t help the faint smirk that crossed her lips.
“They’re always something,” she said dryly.
“Well, we also booked some rooms in case of emergencies,” Nora said with a kind smile.
“If you like, I can give you a room card.” Lilith considered for a moment, then nodded.
“Sure.” Nora beamed.
“Alright, I’ll be back with the card.
Wait here!” She rushed off, leaving Lilith to watch over the sleeping duo.
True to her word, Nora returned quickly, handing Lilith the card.
“Here it is,” she said, slightly out of breath.
Lilith took it, then bent down and effortlessly lifted Nova, who barely stirred in her arms.
Nora’s jaw dropped at the sight, her eyes widening.
“H-how are you carrying him so easily?” she muttered under her breath, struggling herself as she awkwardly tried to hoist Ava up.

Lilith smirked but didn’t answer, simply adjusting Nova to make him more comfortable.
With a resigned sigh, Nora managed to get Ava into a makeshift piggyback position, though it was clear she was struggling.
“Let’s go,” Lilith said coolly, leading the way toward the elevators.
The room was on the third floor, and the two women moved as quickly as possible through the bar’s lively atmosphere.
They finally reached the room, and Nora, out of breath, fumbled with the key card to unlock the door.
Once inside, Lilith gently placed Nova on one of the beds, tucking him in like he was a child.
Meanwhile, Nora almost collapsed onto the other bed as she let Ava slide off her back.
“Remind me to never carry her again,” Nora muttered, wiping her forehead dramatically.
Lilith rolled her eyes but said nothing, adjusting the blankets over both Ava and Nova.
She stood for a moment, looking at the two of them as they slept peacefully, before turning to Nora.
“Thank you for helping,” she said curtly.
Nora smiled nervously.
“Oh, it’s no problem!
They’re…quite the pair.” Lilith smirked faintly.
“Are you staying with them?” Nora asked, eyeing Lilith curiously.
Lilith simply nodded.
“I’ll go back then,” Nora said, turning to leave.
Lilith gave a brief nod, watching her go.
But as soon as the door clicked shut, an uncomfortable feeling settled in her chest.
Something didn’t feel right.
It wasn’t safe for Nora to go alone.
Without hesitation, Lilith locked the door and stepped out into the hallway, scanning her surroundings.
She noticed the elevator was still on the floor.
Her heart began to race.
She quickly walked down the corridor, her senses heightened, searching for any sign of Nora.
Her eyes fell upon a small purse lying forgotten at the side of the stairs.
Lilith’s instincts screamed that something was wrong.
She swiftly climbed down the stairs, feeling the tension in the air.
When she reached the second floor, her eyes caught a disturbing sight-two men had Nora trapped, one covering her mouth while the other held her hands.
Tears streamed down Nora’s face as her eyes widened in terror.
Lilith’s blood ran cold.
Without a moment’s thought, she charged forward, the sound of her heels clicking rapidly against the floor.
“Catch her too!
She’s beautiful-” one of the men started, but before he could finish, Lilith’s fist flew forward, landing straight in his mouth.
“Aahhh!” The man screamed, blood pouring from his lips as he staggered backward, crashing to the ground.
His shocked expression barely registered before he crumpled, unconscious from the force of the blow.
The second man froze in disbelief, and Lilith wasted no time.
Despite the tight fit of her bodycon dress, she moved with grace and precision.
With a quick twist, she stepped behind him, grabbing him by the arm and flipping him onto the floor with a loud thud.
Her movements were swift, almost fluid, and as she stood over him, her dark eyes locked onto the terrified man.
His attempt to get up was met with a swift kick to his chest, knocking the wind out of him and sending him sprawling back onto the ground.
“Don’t touch her again,” Lilith’s voice was icy, calm, and full of authority.
The men, now on the ground, were visibly shaken.
They hadn’t expected this.
Nora, still wide-eyed, stood frozen for a moment before Lilith turned to her, offering a hand.
“Are you alright?” Lilith asked softly, her expression softening, though the coldness in her eyes never disappeared.
Nora, still in shock, nodded, tears streaming down her face.
“Y-yes, thank you…” Lilith glanced at the two men, who were now cowering in fear.
