Devilish secretary - Chapter 57
Chapter 57: Chapter 57 I€™m colorblind Chapter 57: Chapter 57 I€™m colorblind Lilith stiffened, she felt another hand, strong and deliberate, reach out and grasp her free wrist.
The touch was firm yet surprisingly familiar, sending a strange shiver down her spine.
She didn’t need to look; she already knew whose hand it was.
Human Doll.
Before she could react, the sound of a projector whirred to life, and the stage wall lit up with a large screen.
Everyone’s eyes turned toward it as a slideshow of photos began to play.
The photos continued to flash across the screen, one more damning than the last.
There was Rayan with Lia, both of them wrapped in a tight embrace, sharing intimate kisses in the park, holding hands as they strolled along the streets, even entering a hotel together.
Rayan’s face drained of color as the photos burned into the screen, his eyes wide with panic.
He could feel his entire world shattering.
The room was filled with whispers and gasps, people exchanging looks of disbelief and shock.
Who did this?
Rayan thought desperately.
His eyes darted around, but he couldn’t find the source of the slideshow.
His hands weakened, and he felt like the floor beneath him was crumbling away.
And Lilith was suddenly pulled back, her body pressed firmly against a strong chest.
She felt the solid, muscled frame of the person behind her, and before she could even react, the arms wrapped tightly around her waist, securing her in place.
The voice that followed sent a chill down her spine, low and husky, dangerously close to her ear.
“Miss Lilith,” Sebastian’s voice purred, each syllable coated in darkness, “Did you see how your fiancé was cheating behind your back?
Although I’m sure you already knew, I just wanted to remind you…
You shouldn’t chase after red flags, hmm?” His whisper was barely audible, but it was all the more powerful for it.
The words seemed to seep into her skin, sending a rush of heat through her body.
His breath tickled her ear, and the deep, sensual tone of his voice made her heart beat a little faster.
He’s so close… Lilith froze, a strange, unfamiliar sensation crawling up her spine.
Sebastian’s arms around her waist felt possessive and powerful, but strangely comforting too.
She could feel the heat radiating from his body, and his presence, so authoritative, made everything else fade into the background.
She tilted her head slightly, her eyes flickering to the images on the screen, then to Rayan’s face.
There was no need for words.
The silent message was clear.
Her boss trying to open her eyes?

How interesting.
Lilith leaned against Sebastian’s chest, laughing softly but with a hint of mockery.
“Sir, I’m colorblind,” she whispered, teasing as she looked at the images flashing on the screen.
She could see Rayan, panicked, running into the dark, trying to find the person controlling the projector.
But the truth was already out, and no matter how much he searched, it wouldn’t change that he was caught in his lies.
Sebastian’s grip around her waist tightened a little, more protective than controlling.
She could feel him, solid and strong, making sure no one-especially her, could escape this moment.
The room was thick with tension, and whispers filled the air, but Lilith kept her focus on the photos.
Each one seemed to make Rayan look worse.
Before she could react, Sebastian gently pulled her away from the chaos and into the dark hallway.
The change in atmosphere was immediate.
The hallway, quiet and hidden, felt like a safe place away from all the drama.
Everything seemed to slow down there.
Suddenly, Sebastian pushed her against the wall, making her catch her breath.
The cool wall against her back made her shiver.
She could feel his body heat, his chest almost touching hers as he stood close.
His eyes locked onto hers, dark and unreadable, almost dangerous.
“You shouldn’t let him get to you, Miss Lilith,” he said, his voice low, like a mix of a warning and a promise.
Lilith blinked, surprised by how intense his voice was.
She hadn’t expected him to pull her away like this, especially not so forcefully.
But she couldn’t help feeling excited by how close he was, the strength in his movements, and how he seemed to control everything around them.
“You really think I’m just going to walk away from all of this?” she asked, steady but amused.
Her smirk grew as she looked up at him, her heart beating faster.
“Maybe you don’t know me as well as you think, Mr.
Carter.” Sebastian didn’t flinch.
His eyes seemed to get darker.
“Maybe I don’t,” he said quietly, but there was something dangerous in his gaze.
He put his hand on the wall beside her, trapping her in without touching her.
His breath was warm on her skin as he leaned in closer.
“You don’t have to make this harder than it already is,” he whispered, his voice so soft it almost gave her chills.
Lilith tilted her head and studied him.
“Is that so?” she said quietly, almost challenging him.
The air between them was thick with tension, yet strangely exciting.
For a moment, neither of them moved.
It felt like the outside world didn’t matter anymore, and all that was left was the pull between them.
The silence was broken only by their breathing.
Then, suddenly, Sebastian stepped back, breaking the moment.
His eyes still held that unreadable look, but his posture softened slightly.
“Let’s not keep them waiting, shall we?” he said, his voice calmer, though the mystery was still there.
Lilith stayed against the wall for a moment, taking a breath to steady herself.
She wasn’t sure what had just happened, but one thing was clear-Sebastian made everything feel different.
And she wasn’t sure if she liked it or not.
Seeing him about to leave, Lilith’s hand shot out and grabbed Sebastian’s wrist before he could walk away.
She held him firmly, her eyes cold and questioning.
“Answer me sir,” she said, her voice low but sharp, each word cutting through the silence.
“What are you trying to do by opening my eyes?
It’s not like you care, right?” She didn’t feel shocked by the truth about Rayan’s betrayal-she had already known it long before.
The fact that his lies were exposed didn’t bother her.
She had seen through him for a long time.
What really grabbed her attention now was something far more interesting.
“Miss Lilith, I don’t want a bright employee like you to get distracted from your work…
I decided to act because I already know your news is all over the internet…
and with your name, my company name is connected,” Sebastian said, his voice calm but carrying a hidden meaning.
“Oh, really, sir?” Lilith tilted her head, her eyes sharp.
In a quick movement, she pulled him toward her, spun him around, and pushed him hard against the wall, her hands on his chest.
“Do you treat all of your employees like this?” she asked, her voice low and tense, her jaw clenched.
For a brief moment, she imagined him acting the same way with other women.
The thought made her feel uneasy, her grip tightening as she wondered if he had the same charm and control over them.
The thought stirred something inside her, something she wasn’t sure she wanted to face.
Sebastian, pinned against the wall, didn’t flinch.
His face stayed calm, but there was a brief flicker of surprise in his eyes.
Is she jealous?
She had pushed him against the wall, and while her grip was firm, her eyes were colder than usual.
The usual calm and control she carried was gone, replaced by something darker, something dangerous.
“Do you think you can just play with me like that?
Sir..” Lilith’s voice was sharp, steady, and her words felt like a warning.
She leaned in close, her face inches from his, and he could feel the heat of her body.
Sebastian’s lips twitched into a half-smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
“I care about my employees,” he said, his voice calm.
“But not in the way you think.” Lilith’s eyes narrowed, and she pressed her hand harder against his chest, pushing him back slightly.
Her body was still confident, even in her anger.
“Then what’s the real reason, Sir?” she asked, her voice low and almost a whisper.
“Why are you here, controlling everything?
You don’t care about me any more than you care about any of your other employees, do you?” Sebastian didn’t respond right away.
Instead, his hands moved, almost without thought, to her chin.
His rough fingertips brushed her skin, tilting her head just slightly, and their eyes locked.
The darkness in his gaze was overwhelming-full of mystery and something else.
There was a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes, and Lilith could feel it, though she didn’t fully understand it.
What was he hiding?
Sebastian’s mind raced.
He was terrified of her discovering the truth about him, his mental illness.
What if she knew about his DID?
What if she found out what he was really hiding?
Would she leave him?
