Devilish secretary - Chapter 62
Chapter 62: Chapter 62 Scary boss Chapter 62: Chapter 62 Scary boss Hearing Rose’s words, Lilith raised her brows, a deep smile playing on her lips as she looked at Sebastian.
He, however, avoided her gaze, his expression unreadable.
“Really, boss?” Nova asked with wide eyes, clearly shocked.
Sebastian’s cold glare silenced him immediately.
Nova quickly shut his mouth and looked away.
“I don’t have much time.
Can we go already?” Sebastian said, his voice flat, void of any emotions.
“Yes!” everyone shouted excitedly in unison.
Lilith crossed her arms and tilted her head.
“So I should just go in my nightwear then?” she asked, pointing at her shorts and comfy clothes that showcased her long, smooth legs.
Sebastian’s gaze instinctively flicked downward for a split second, but he quickly looked away, his jaw tightening.
“Let me help you, Lili,” Ava quickly ran behind Lilith, practically sprinting.
She was genuinely terrified of Sebastian.
His cold, emotionless face could make anyone shiver.
And although he was undeniably handsome, his reputation for firing secretaries left-right without a second thought didn’t help her nerves.
“I’m coming too!” Rose chimed in excitedly, running after Ava like an excited puppy.
Nova, not wanting to be left out, also tried to follow.
“I’m coming too-” But before he could take a step, a firm grip caught the back of his collar.
Nova stumbled slightly as he was pulled back, and when he turned around, he came face-to-face with his boss.
Sebastian’s dark eyes bore into him, his gaze sharp and Cold.
His expression was calm-too calm-and it only made the moment even more terrifying.
“Sir?” Nova stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sebastian didn’t say anything at first.
Instead, he tilted his head slightly, his eyes narrowing as he observed Nova like he was a bug under a magnifying glass.
“What exactly are you planning to do?” Sebastian finally asked, his voice dangerously quiet.
“Help her… change?” Nova’s jaw dropped, his face instantly flushing bright red.
“N-no!
Sir, no!
Of course not!
I wouldn’t-” Sebastian raised an eyebrow, his grip on Nova’s collar tightening slightly.

“Not what I meant!
I mean, I was just…
just…
I wasn’t thinking!” Nova blurted out, frantically trying to explain himself.
“Clearly,” Sebastian said, his tone icy.
He released Nova’s collar, and Nova staggered back, his hands immediately going up in surrender.
“I’ll just… stay here,” Nova said nervously, his voice shaky.
“Right here.
Not moving.
Not helping.
Nothing.” Sebastian stepped closer, his tall frame casting a shadow over Nova.
“Good,” he said simply, his deep voice carrying a weight that made Nova freeze.
“Sir,” Nova added quickly, his tone overly polite.
Meanwhile, from down the hall, Ava peeked out from behind the door and whispered to Rose, “Your brother is terrifying!
I swear, he could be the villain in a movie.” Rose laughed softly and whispered back, “You get used to it.
He’s just like that with everyone.” “Everyone except Lilith,” Ava muttered, her eyes narrowing slightly.
As if he heard them, Sebastian turned his head slightly, his sharp gaze cutting through the hallway.
Ava and Rose immediately ducked back into the room, their hearts racing.
Lilith, already inside and entirely unfazed by the commotion, adjusted her hair into bun calmly.
She smirked faintly as she overheard their whispers.
Back in the hallway, Nova was still frozen in place, too scared to move.
“Why does he have to look at me like that?” he muttered under his breath.
Sebastian didn’t respond immediately.
Instead, he turned away from Nova, his tall frame moving with an air of authority and calm.
He walked over to the sofa in the living room, his shoes barely making a sound against the floor.
With the precision of someone who owned the space, he sat down gracefully, crossing one leg over the other like a king surveying his domain.
He leaned back, one arm resting casually along the back of the sofa, his other hand adjusting the sleeve of his perfectly tailored shirt.
His sharp eyes flicked toward Nova, who was still standing frozen in place, unsure of what to do.
Sebastian’s expression was calm but unreadable, a mix of indifference and power.
He didn’t need to say anything; his mere presence dominated the room.
Nova swallowed hard and gave a nervous laugh.
“I’ll just, uh… wait here…sir,” he mumbled, too scared to move.
Sebastian’s gaze shifted briefly toward the hallway where Lilith and the others had disappeared.
His jaw tightened slightly, but his face remained as composed as ever.
As if sensing the tension, Nova muttered under his breath, “Why does he look like he’s planning to conquer the world from that sofa?” Sebastian raised an eyebrow at him, and Nova immediately straightened up, his heart skipping a beat.
“No offense, sir!” Nova added quickly, his face flushed.
Sebastian didn’t bother responding.
Instead, he leaned his head back slightly, his piercing eyes fixed on nothing in particular, waiting for Lilith to return.
The air around him was heavy with authority, making it impossible for Nova to relax.
Meanwhile, in the Lilith room, Ava glanced toward the door.
“Lilith better hurry up, or Nova’s going to have a heart attack from the scare the boss is giving him.” “Oh, brother won’t do that, although he is scary without even doing anything himself,” Rose said with wide eyes, glancing toward Ava as if trying to convince her.
“Really?” Ava asked, still doubtful, her tone dripping with suspicion.
Rose giggled nervously.
“I mean… I’m still unsure.
Hehe…” Lilith, watching their little exchange, suddenly laughed loudly, her voice echoing in the room.
“No, sir isn’t that scary.
Why are you both making such a big deal about it?” she said casually, as if they were blowing things out of proportion.
Ava and Rose exchanged a look, their wide eyes locking in a mutual understanding that screamed something’s fishy.
“Do you think-” Ava started.
“Maybe,” Rose whispered back, nodding quickly.
They both looked at Lilith suspiciously, their minds working in sync.
“Hmm…” Rose hummed thoughtfully.
“Hmm!” Ava echoed, her eyes narrowing as if trying to piece together a puzzle.
Lilith raised an eyebrow, utterly unaware of the silent conversation going on between the two.
“What?” she asked, folding her arms.
“Nothing,” Ava said quickly, though her tone betrayed her curiosity.
“Absolutely nothing,” Rose added, grinning mischievously.
But the glances they kept throwing at each other said it all.
Lilith shook her head, chuckling to herself.
“You two are so weird.” Ava leaned in toward Rose and whispered, “Fishy.
Definitely fishy.” “Super fishy,” Rose agreed, nodding with mock seriousness.
And with that, the two dissolved into giggles, leaving Lilith thoroughly amused and slightly confused.
After much browsing through Lilith’s wardrobe, Ava finally selected an outfit with a victorious grin.
“This is it!
Wear this, and trust me, you’ll look effortlessly stunning!” she said, holding up a T-shirt.
Lilith gave her a skeptical look but eventually took the clothes and went to change.
When she stepped out of the room, Ava’s jaw dropped.
“Oh my god, Lili!
You look so chic and classy!” she squealed.
Lilith was wearing a black fitted t-shirt that perfectly hugged her curves, paired with high-waisted denim jeans that accentuated her long legs.
She had a light oversized jacket draped over her shoulders, giving her a laid-back yet stylish vibe.
Her fair skin seemed to glow against the dark outfit, and her piercing blue eyes stood out even more.
Her long, silky black hair was left open, cascading down her back, adding a touch of elegance to her casual look.
She applied a thin layer of sunscreen, dabbed on some lip balm, and added a swipe of mascara, just enough to make her lashes pop.
“Perfect!” Ava said, spinning her finger in the air to signal Lilith to turn around.
Lilith rolled her eyes but did a slow spin anyway.
“Is this okay for a movie?” she asked dryly.
Ava gasped dramatically.
“Okay?
You look like a celebrity heading to a red carpet event!” “Well, I’m not,” Lilith muttered, but a small smile played on her lips.
Rose, peeking from the side, clapped her hands together.
“You’re so cool, sister Lilith!
Can I dress like you when I grow up?” Lilith ruffled Rose’s hair gently.
“You’ll look better than me, kid.” Rose grinned, while Ava stood grinning proudly.
“Alright, let’s go!
Nova and your scary boss must be getting impatient!” Ava teased, dragging Lilith toward the door.
However, Lilith raised an eyebrow at Ava, feeling slightly teased, but seeing Ava and Rose so happy, she decided to let it slide.
When Sebastian saw Lilith step out, his eyes instinctively fell on her.
His dark gaze traveled from her face to her outfit, and for a moment, his usually cold expression cracked.
She always looked good, no matter what she wore, but right now… she looked effortlessly captivating.
She’d look even better without clothes… The unexpected and borderline scandalous thought flashed in his mind, making his jaw tighten.
What the hell is wrong with me?
he thought, quickly composing himself, but the faint flicker of something darker lingered in his gaze.
Sebastian adjusted his cufflinks, his movements sharp and deliberate, as if trying to distract himself.
“Are we ready?” he asked, his voice cold.
