Devilish secretary - Chapter 70
Chapter 70: Chapter 70 Humiliating Chapter 70: Chapter 70 Humiliating Lilith narrowed her piercing blue eyes at him, her posture guarded.
“Sir,” she said in a calm but sharp tone, “what exactly are you doing?” Ray froze when Lilith’s tone turned serious, her sharp gaze pinning him in place.
She didn’t look amused anymore, and the change made him panic.
His breathing grew erratic, and his hands started shaking.
“I’m sorry…
I’m sorry…
I’m sorry…” he mumbled, his voice breaking as sweat began to bead on his forehead.
He shook his head rapidly, his eyes wide and glassy with fear.
He slumped to the floor, leaning against the wall and hugging his knees like a scared child.
“Sir…” Lilith whispered, her brows furrowing in concern.
Her piercing blue eyes softened as she crouched down to his level.
Watching him tremble and seeing the fear etched into his face, she finally confirmed what she had suspected for a while-her boss had some kind of illness….
Without hesitation, she sat beside him on the floor and gently placed a hand on his back.
He flinched at first but didn’t pull away.
Lilith leaned in closer and, ignoring her own confusion and curiosity, whispered, “It’s okay, sir.
Breathe.
You’re safe.
Nothing’s going to hurt you.” Ray didn’t respond.
His body was tense, and his grip on his knees tightened.
Lilith didn’t stop, though.
She rubbed soothing circles on his back, her touch steady and comforting.
At the same time, she closed her eyes and focused, letting her soothing energy flow through her hand.
A warm, calming sensation filled the space between them, wrapping around Ray like an invisible blanket.
His shaking began to ease.
His breathing steadied, and the frantic look in his eyes softened as the warmth spread through his body.
Lilith stayed quiet, letting the calming energy do its work, and slowly, Ray started to relax.
After a few minutes, he exhaled deeply, his head dropping slightly as his body slackened against the wall.
Seeing him calm down, Lilith tried to stand, but as soon as she moved, Ray’s hand shot out and grabbed her wrist.
“Please…” he whispered, his voice trembling with raw emotion.
He looked up at her, his wide, vulnerable eyes locking onto hers.

“Please don’t leave me.” Lilith froze, her eyes widening in surprise.
His voice was so broken, so desperate, that it struck a chord deep within her.
For a moment, she simply looked at him, her lips parting as if to say something, but the words didn’t come.
Finally, she lowered herself back down beside him.
“I’m not leaving,” she said firmly, her voice calm.
She placed a hand on his shoulder, grounding him.
“But, sir, I need you to tell me what’s going on.
I can’t help you if you don’t let me in.” Ray shook his head, his grip on her wrist tightening slightly.
He opened his mouth as if to speak but closed it again, looking down at the floor.
His expression was a mixture of fear and helplessness.
“It’s okay,” Lilith said softly, her voice carrying a warmth that seemed to envelop him.
“Take your time.
I’m here.” Ray nodded weakly, his grip loosening just a bit, but he didn’t let go completely.
Instead, he leaned back against the wall, his head tilted upward as he closed his eyes.
Lilith stayed beside him.
As they sat in silence, her mind raced.
What happened to you, my human doll?
she thought, her gaze resting on him.
Sebastian Alexander opened his eyes, his jaw tightening as shame washed over him.
He couldn’t believe he’d let himself crumble like this in front of her.
His pride was in shambles, and the fact that it was Miss Lilith witnessing his weakness made it even worse.
Taking a deep breath, he straightened slightly, his hands still trembling but his tone cold and clipped.
“Miss Lilith, you can leave now,” he said, his voice devoid of the warmth Ray had shown earlier.
Lilith didn’t move.
Her piercing blue eyes locked onto his with a dark, unreadable expression.
She stayed silent, but the way she looked at him made his chest tighten.
It was as though she was looking straight through him, peeling back the layers he so carefully guarded.
Sebastian’s breath hitched.
His dark eyes mirrored hers, intense and powerful.
For a moment, the world around them faded, and it was just the two of them, caught in a silent battle of wills.
The tension between them grew stronger, but neither said a word.
Lilith’s hand stayed on his wrist, grounding him even as storm of emotions ran through him.
Suddenly, a knock at the door shattered the moment.
Sebastian flinched slightly, his gaze snapping to the door.
His jaw clenched, and his free hand instinctively curled into a fist.
He felt like a cornered animal, his carefully constructed walls cracking under the pressure.
“Sir?” Assistant Quinn’s voice came from the other side of the door.
“It’s urgent.” Sebastian took a deep breath, standing up as his expression turned cold.
“Come in,” he said, his voice sharp.
Lilith slowly pulled her hand away, her eyes staying on him for a brief moment before she stood up.
“I am leaving, sir,” she said calmly, her tone professional, but her expression unreadable.
Without waiting for a response, she turned and walked out of the office.
Quinn stepped aside to let her pass, giving her a polite nod before turning his attention back to Sebastian.
But Sebastian didn’t immediately acknowledge him.
Instead, his dark eyes followed Lilith’s retreating figure, watching her disappear through the door.
For reasons he couldn’t quite explain, his chest felt heavier as she left.
His jaw tightened as he tried to shake off the strange unease settling in his gut.
Quinn cleared his throat, pulling him back to the present.
“Sir?” Sebastian finally tore his gaze away, forcing himself to focus.
Yet, even as he engaged with Quinn, his thoughts lingered on Lilith.
Why?
he thought, his fists clenching at his sides.
Why do Ray and Gray gravitate toward her so much?
Her beauty?
Her confidence?
Lust, perhaps?
But even as he thought about it, he knew there was more to it.
She wasn’t like anyone else.
There was something about the way she drew attention without trying, how her sharp words and powerfull sense of presence challenged him.
No matter how much he tried, he couldn’t shake how often she had started to cross his mind.
Sebastian clenched his jaw, his dark gaze narrowing.
He had always been in control-of himself, of his emotions, of his world.
But Lilith was different.
She was disrupting everything.
******** Sienna pouted, clutching her phone tighter as she sat in her tiny office next to the restroom.
The faint sound of a toilet flushing echoed behind her, making her frown deepen.
“Grandma!
You have no idea what he did.
He put me in this awful office next to the restroom!
I can hear everything, even the bathroom flushes!
It’s so humiliating,” she whined, her voice dripping with grievance.
“Oh, my poor dear!” Grandma Bria’s voice crackled through the phone, full of sympathy and righteous indignation.
“You don’t deserve this treatment!
Let Sebastian come home tonight, I’ll deal with him personally.
How dare he treat you like this!” Sienna sighed, leaning back in her chair, her expression looking pitiful and defeated.
“No need, Grandma.
I’ll handle it.
I know he’s testing me.
I’ll show him how hardworking I can be,” she said, her voice soft and strong.
“I don’t mind the workload… I’ll prove myself.” Grandma Bria practically teared up on the other end of the call.
“Oh, my sweet child!
You’re such an angel.
You’re nothing like those gold-digger women these days who refuse to work and just latch onto rich men.
You’re hardworking, loyal, and patient, qualities all women should learn from!” Sienna smirked smugly, though she kept her voice soft and sorrowful.
“I just want to make you proud, Grandma.” “You already do, my dear,” Grandma Bria said, her tone thick with affection.
“Just bear it a little longer.
I’ll straighten Sebastian out soon.
You’ll see.” Sienna hung up the phone with a satisfied smile, flipping her hair over her shoulder as another toilet flushed loudly behind her.
Her eye twitched slightly, but she forced herself to ignore it.
She leaned forward and muttered under her breath, “Just you wait, Sebastian.
I’ll make sure I’m the one you can’t ignore.” “Thank you, Grandma,” Sienna said in an overly emotional voice, her lips curling into a practiced smile.
She tucked a strand of perfectly styled hair behind her ear, making sure she sounded just pitiful enough to earn more sympathy.
“No need for thanks, dear,” Grandma Bria replied warmly.
“But you need to teach my little Rose some manners like you.
That girl is getting out of hand lately.” Sienna’s eyes glinted, though her tone remained sugary sweet.
“Of course, Grandma!
Rose is like a little sister to me,” she said with a forced laugh that sounded a little too rehearsed.
She paused, sighing softly as if she were already burdened with the task.
“I’ll guide her… show her the proper way to behave.
She just needs someone to lead her, and I’ll do it happily.”
