Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Lovely sister Lilith Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Lovely sister Lilith Lilith rubbed Rose’s head gently, her fingers weaving through the soft strands of hair.
“You should call your brother,” she suggested, leaning back against the sofa.
Rose’s cheeks puffed up in a dramatic pout.
“Devil brother took my phone,” she grumbled, crossing her arms like a child denied candy.
Hearing her call Sebastian devil brother, Lilith couldn’t hold back the laugh that bubbled out of her.
The contrast between Rose’s sweet appearance and the venom she casually directed at her brother was amusing.
“You can call from mine,” Lilith offered, tilting her head toward the phone sitting on the table.
But before she could reach for it, Rose suddenly clung to her arm like a stubborn cat, pressing her cheek against Lilith’s shoulder.
“Nooo!
Sister Lilith, my dear, lovely, cute Sister Lilith…” Rose blinked up at her, exaggerating the sweetness in her voice.
“Please don’t call devil brother.
I don’t want to go home!” She added a little sniff for effect, fluttering her long lashes dramatically.
Lilith froze, staring down at Rose.
She didn’t know she had a weakness until now.
Those wide, black sparkling eyes and that innocent, pleading face completely disarmed her.
Lilith sighed, shaking her head as if defeated.
“Alright.
But just this once,” she relented, lightly flicking Rose’s forehead.
“I’ll make something for us.” Rose’s face lit up instantly.
“Pasta!” she declared, bouncing away happily as if she’d won a war.
Lilith chuckled softly, heading toward the kitchen.
“Pasta it is.” As she started boiling the water, Rose perched herself on the counter, her legs swinging beneath her.
“You’re the best, Sister Lilith,” she said, beaming.
Lilith rolled her eyes playfully but couldn’t hide the faint smile tugging at her lips.
The peaceful atmosphere didn’t last long.
A sharp knock echoed through the apartment, startling them both.
Rose’s eyes went wide, and she gasped dramatically as she already know her devil brother is here.
“I swear I didn’t call him!” she whispered, sliding off the counter and hiding behind Lilith like a guilty child.
Lilith arched a brow, lowering the heat on the pasta.
Amused by Rose’s antics, she casually walked to the door and opened it.

There stood Sebastian €“ tall, handsome, and looking as if he’d just walked out of a magazine cover.
His dark eyes immediately zeroed in on Rose, who was peeking from behind Lilith’s back.
“You didn’t answer your phone,” he said flatly, his gaze shifting to Lilith with mild irritation.
He had called her five minutes ago, but she didn’t pick up.
The phone kept ringing until the automated voice said no one was answering.
Behind him, Rose bit her lip nervously.
She knew exactly why Sister Lilith hadn’t answered €“ she had secretly silenced Sister Lilith’s phone.
Lilith leaned lazily against the doorframe, her piercing blue eyes glinting.
“I wasn’t expecting visitors.” Sebastian’s brow twitched slightly.
“She’s coming home.” “I’m eating pasta!” Rose’s muffled voice argued from behind Lilith’s shoulder.
Sebastian closed his eyes briefly as if summoning patience from the heavens.
“Rose-” Lilith cut him off, holding up her hand.
“Relax, Sir,” she teased, tilting her head.
“She’s fine.
Let her eat first.” His eyes met hers, lingering for a beat too long.
There was something unreadable in his gaze €“ maybe surprise, maybe annoyance.
“…Fine,” Sebastian relented after a pause.
“But I’m staying too.” Without waiting for an invitation, he stepped inside, his presence filling the small living room.
“Suit yourself,” Lilith said, shutting the door behind him.
Rose grinned victoriously.
“You can wash the dishes, Brother!” Sebastian shot her a sharp glare, but Lilith didn’t miss the faintest twitch at the corner of his mouth.
“Go freshen up before the pasta is ready,” Lilith said, glancing at Rose, who was rubbing her eyes, clearly exhausted.
Rose pouted dramatically.
“But Sister Lilith… I don’t have any clothes.” Lilith smirked.
“You can take mine.
Pick anything you like from the closet.” Rose’s face lit up instantly.
“Really?
Yay!” she cheered, skipping happily toward Lilith’s room.
As Rose disappeared down the hall, Lilith sighed softly and sank into the couch, pulling her knees up as she relaxed.
She wasn’t in the mood to stand around in the kitchen.
With the pasta simmering on low heat, she decided to let it be and lounged in the living room instead.
Sebastian, who had been standing silently near the door, walked further into the living room, his tall frame leaning casually against the wall.
His dark eyes scanned the room, but his focus lingered on Lilith as she scrolled lazily on her phone.
She noticed a call from him ten minutes ago.
His number was saved €“ as his secretary, she had his number.
Lilith felt his gaze and glanced up, raising a brow.
“What?” Sebastian shrugged, his expression unreadable.
“I didn’t expect you to let her borrow your clothes so easily.” “She’s a kid,” Lilith replied casually.
“It’s not a big deal.” Sebastian pushed off the wall and crossed the room, settling on the opposite side of the couch.
He leaned back, one arm resting along the back of the sofa, his long legs stretching out.
“You’re more… welcoming than I thought,” he said, his voice smooth but filed with curiosity.
Lilith shot him a sideways glance.
“Is that your way of saying I’m nice, sir?” she teased, setting her phone down on the coffee table.
Sebastian’s lips twitched faintly.
“It’s just an observation.” Before Lilith could respond, Rose’s voice echoed from the bedroom.
“Sister Lilith!
Your clothes are HUGE on me!” Sebastian’s brows lifted slightly.
“They’re not that big!” Lilith called out, shaking her head as she sat up straighter.
Sebastian leaned toward her just slightly, lowering his voice.
“She’s drowning in them, isn’t she?” Lilith glanced at him, biting back a smile.
“Like a tiny marshmallow.” For the first time, Sebastian chuckled softly.
Lilith arched a brow, turning to face him more directly.
“Oh, so you can laugh even when you’re not tipsy.” Sebastian met her gaze, his dark eyes calm yet intense.
“I’m not as cold as you think.” Lilith smirked.
“Sure… I’ll believe that when you stop glaring at everyone in the office.” Sebastian leaned in just a fraction, his gaze never leaving hers.
“I don’t glare at everyone.” Lilith’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“You glared at Marcus this morning.” Sebastian didn’t answer right away, his gaze flickering briefly to the window.
“He was standing too close.” Lilith blinked, momentarily caught off guard.
“Too close to who?” Sebastian met her eyes, the corner of his mouth lifting ever so slightly.
“You.” Lilith’s heart skipped, but she quickly masked it with a playful scoff.
“Jealous, Sir?” Sebastian leaned back again, his smirk fading into something more serious.
“I don’t like distractions.” Lilith chuckled softly.
“Well, you’re the one sitting on my couch right now.
I’d say you’re more distracted than I am.” Sebastian didn’t reply immediately, his gaze lingering on her face as if he was considering something.
Before the tension could build further, Rose appeared in the hallway, practically swimming in Lilith’s oversized old hoodie and sweatpants.
She tugged on the sleeves, her head barely poking out from the large hood.
“I look ridiculous,” Rose pouted, holding up the long sleeves that dangled past her hands.
Lilith grinned and patted the seat next to her.
“You look adorable.” Sebastian’s eyes softened slightly as he watched his little sister shuffle over to sit beside Lilith, snuggling into her side.
Lilith wrapped an arm around Rose’s small frame, pulling her close.
Sebastian didn’t say anything, but as he watched them, a strange sense of calm settled over him.
“So huma- I mean, sir,” Lilith corrected herself quickly, though her tongue almost slipped.
Her eyes flicked toward him with a faint smirk.
“Why did you take Little Rose’s phone?
As a girl, she needs it importantly… Nowadays, anything can happen.
If something did, she wouldn’t even be able to call someone.” Her tone was calm, but there was a slight edge of coldness in her voice.
Damn it.
She bit the inside of her cheek.
That was close-she almost called him “Human doll” out loud.
Sebastian’s eyes darkened, He folded his arms across his chest and leaned against the couch.
“She spends too much time on it,” he replied nonchalantly.
“I took it away for a month.” Lilith froze, blinking slowly.
“A month?” she repeated, turning fully to face him.
Sebastian nodded, unbothered.
“You took a teenage girl’s phone… for a whole month?” Lilith asked again, her voice laced with disbelief.
“She’s been fine without it,” Sebastian said, glancing at Rose.
“I haven’t been fine,” Rose groaned.
“It’s been torture.” Lilith gently rubbed her head, her eyes narrowing at Sebastian.
“She’s not some rebellious criminal, Sebastian.
She’s just a kid.” Sebastian’s jaw tightened, and he exhaled slowly, his gaze dropping to the floor for a second.
“She stays up too late on it,” he muttered, clearly reaching for an excuse.
Rose huffed, crossing her arms.
“I was learning digital art.” Lilith smirked, leaning back against the couch.
“Sounds productive to me.” Sebastian narrowed his eyes at Lilith, but she simply stared back at him with her usual calm confidence.
“You’re really defending her?” he asked, his voice low.
Lilith’s lips curled slightly.
“Absolutely.
She’s a kid, not your employee.” Rose snuggled closer to Lilith, grinning.
“See?
Sister Lilith understands me.”
