Devilish secretary - Chapter 80
Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Suprise Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Suprise Gray sat silently on the couch, his eyes fixed on the TV, though he wasn’t really paying attention to the movie.
The living room was dim, the only light coming from the screen.
Rose sat beside him, swinging her legs lazily, wrapped in a blanket as she nibbled on popcorn.
“Brother,” Rose muttered, her eyes still on the screen, “you’re always quiet, but today you’re really quiet.
And stop staring at Sister Lilith like you’ve never seen a woman before… it’s embarrassing.” Gray froze mid-sip of his coca cola, slowly lowering the can.
His gaze shifted to Rose, who was now looking at him with a knowing frown.
“I wasn’t staring,” he replied flatly, though the faintest tension flickered in his jaw.
“You were.” Rose squinted at him like she was trying to figure something out.
“You’ve been looking at her all time.” Gray pressed his lips together, casting a quick glance at Lilith, who was sitting across the single couch.
The light from the TV flickered over her calm face, highlighting the faint smirk tugging at her lips.
She’d heard every word.
But Lilith didn’t react-she didn’t even look his way.
Instead, her eyes stayed on the screen.
Of course she noticed.
Lilith had picked up on his strange behavior long ago.
She had quietly confirmed it to herself: This wasn’t the same human doll.
It was the other one.
A different personality that occasionally came out.
One that seemed far too interested in her face for reasons she hadn’t bothered to ask about.
Gray glanced at Lilith again.
“See?” Rose whispered dramatically, tugging his sleeve.
“You’re doing it again.” Gray sighed, rubbing his temple.
“Just watch the movie.” Rose giggled softly, snuggling back into the couch.
Across the room, Lilith’s eyes flickered toward him for just a second, meeting his gaze with a knowing glint before turning back to the screen.
Human doll, she thought to herself, you’re not as subtle as you think.
As the rain lightened, Sebastian finally decided it was time to leave.
He pulled out his phone and called his driver.
Rose clung to his arm as they walked toward the door, her slow, small steps to delay their departure.
“Brother, why can’t we stay a little longer?” Rose pouted, tugging lightly at his sleeve.
“Sister Lilith’s house feels nicer.” Gray glanced down at her, his tone calm as usual.

“We can’t stay forever, Rose.” “But you said we weren’t going home,” she pressed, tilting her head up at him.
“So where are we going?” Gray didn’t answer right away.
He adjusted his sleeves, his eyes distant as if something else weighed on his mind.
Rose huffed softly.
“You’re not answering me again… it’s like talking to a wall,” she muttered under her breath.
Gray’s lips twitched, but he said nothing.
As they reached the front door, Rose let go of his arm and turned to Lilith, who stood nearby watching the exchange with crossed arms.
Rose smiled brightly.
“Thank you, Sister Lilith, for taking care of me… and letting Brother stay here.” Lilith arched a brow, leaning down slightly to ruffle Rose’s hair.
“You’re welcome.
Try not to cause too much trouble for him.” Rose giggled.
“I’ll try.” Gray lingered by the door, his gaze locked on Lilith for a second too long.
Lilith met his stare, one brow lifting in amusement.
There he goes again.
Gray said nothing, but the intensity of his eyes made it clear he wasn’t ready to look away just yet.
Lilith sighed inwardly.
If he wasn’t my human doll, this would definitely be creepy.
With a final nod, Gray guided Rose out the door.
As it closed behind them, Lilith shook her head, heading back to her room.
She flopped onto the bed and grabbed her phone, flicking through notifications until she opened her website dashboard.
Her eyes lit up slightly as she saw the number staring back at her.
Revenue: $5678.08 A smirk tugged at her lips.
“Not a bad day after all.” Lilith let out a long sigh as she lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
The house was too quiet now that human doll and Rose had left.
What now…?
Boredom gnawed at her, and after a few minutes of scrolling through her phone with little interest, she decided to rearrange her wardrobe.
She stood up, pulling open the doors to the closet.
One by one, she began separating dresses from formal wear and her comfortable clothes, folding them neatly.
As she shifted through the clothes, her hand brushed against something soft and unfamiliar.
She pulled it out, holding it at arm’s length.
A small skirt, barely more than fabric, dangled from her fingers.
Lilith raised an eyebrow, turning it side to side.
Did I buy this?
she wondered, examining the delicate material.
It looked brand new, but far too short to be something she’d usually wear.
It must be the original owner who bought it in the past.
Before she could dwell more on it, something hard slipped from the top shelf and fell straight onto her foot.
“Ah!” Lilith hissed, stepping back and shaking her foot as pain shot up her leg.
Her eyes dropped to the floor where a dusty, light-pink album lay face down.
She bent down and picked it up, brushing off the thin layer of dust.
The cover was soft to the touch, with the words “My Princess” written in elegant calligraphy across the front.
Lilith frowned deeply.
I don’t remember ever seeing this.
Curiosity sparked as she walked over to the bed, sitting cross-legged as she carefully opened the album.
Her breath caught in her throat.
Staring up at her was a baby photo, round cheeks, wide blue eyes, and a faint, toothless smile.
Her fingers hovered over the page as she flipped to the next photo.
There it was again, another baby, wrapped in a soft blanket, sleeping soundly.
Lilith’s heart skipped.
Is this… me?
Page after page, she turned, each filled with pictures of the same child, slowly growing.
Some photos showed a toddler laughing, others a small child holding someone’s hand, though the adult’s face was carefully cropped out of every picture.
Her hand trembled slightly as she ran her fingers along the edges of the photographs.
Lilith’s fingers lingered on the edge of the page as she flipped to the next section of the album.
There she was-older now, maybe around six or seven.
Her hair was a little longer, framing her small face.
She stood in a garden, sunlight filtering through the leaves, wearing a pale dress that looked too fancy for someone her age.
A soft breeze had caught her hair mid-turn, and her wide eyes stared directly at the camera, frozen in time.
Young and cute… The next photo showed her grinning, holding a flower that looked too big for her small hands.
Another captured her sitting on a bench, legs swinging beneath her, as she stared off into the distance.
Every image was taken with care, as if someone had wanted to preserve those moments perfectly.
Lilith continued flipping through the pages, her heart slowing with each turn.
Lilith paused on a photo of her sitting beside a large stuffed rabbit.
Her small hands gripped its floppy ear tightly, while her head rested gently against its side.
Her eyes were half-closed, almost as if she was about to fall asleep.
A faint smile tugged at Lilith’s lips as she closed album.
She stared at the closed album resting on her lap, her fingers lightly tracing the edges.
A strange feeling crept over her, the kind that made her chest tighten with something unfamiliar.
Why does it feel like I know these moments?
*** As the car rolled to a stop two blocks away from Lilith’s apartment, Rose’s eyes narrowed in confusion.
She pressed her face against the window, staring at the large two-story mansion in front of them.
Her mouth slowly fell open as she turned to Gray, eyes wide with disbelief.
“Brother… did you buy this for me?” she asked, blinking rapidly as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
Gray nodded silently, his expression calm as usual.
Rose’s eyes darted back to the mansion.
“No Grandma?” she asked hesitantly, almost afraid of the answer.
Gray nodded his head.
Rose’s grip tightened on the edge of her seat.
“No Sienna either?” Another nod from Gray.
Rose’s eyes shining with excitement as she practically bounced in her seat.
“Thank you, Brother!” she squealed, throwing her arms around his waist, hugging him tightly.
“You’re the best!” Sebastian froze for a moment as Rose hugged him tightly, her arms squeezing around his waist.
He awkwardly patted her back, clearly unused to the sudden affection.
The car slowly pulled through the gate and stopped in front of the mansion.
Stepping out, Sebastian held Rose’s hand, guiding her toward the large front door.
He rang the bell, and within seconds, the door opened, revealing an older maid with kind eyes and a warm smile.
“Welcome, Miss Rose.
Sir,” she greeted with a slight bow.
Rose nodded politely, though her excitement made it hard for her to stay still.
As soon as they stepped inside, her eyes widened in surprise.
