Devilish secretary - Chapter 81
Chapter 81: Chapter 81 Mysterious Chapter 81: Chapter 81 Mysterious The entire interior was painted in soft blush pink, warm and calm.
The walls held delicate floral patterns, and the furniture was carved from polished wood, matching perfectly with the soft hues of the room.
Rose’s gaze drifted to the staircase in the center of the hall.
Wide, elegant, and spiraling gently upward.
The railing was smooth and crafted with unique details, almost like something out of a storybook.
Her mouth opened slightly in awe.
“Brother… it’s beautiful.” Gray remained quiet, his eyes scanning the space, though his focus lingered on Rose’s expression.
The house wasn’t extravagant, but it felt warm, something Gray knew Rose needed.
She walked further inside, her fingers lightly trailing along the wooden banister as she admired the high ceilings and large windows that let soft natural light pour in.
“I love it,” she whispered, turning back to Gray with a bright smile.
Gray gave a small nod, his hand resting lightly in his pocket.
“I’m glad.” The maid stepped forward.
“I’ll prepare tea and have Miss Rose’s room shown to her.
Would you like anything, sir?” Gray shook his head.
Rose spun in a small circle, taking in every corner of the space.
For the first time in a long while, Gray could see the spark of happiness in her eyes.
And for him, that was enough.
Rose suddenly spun around and ran back toward Sebastian Gray, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Gray raised a brow, watching her curiously.
“What-” Before he could finish, Rose stood on her tiptoes and quickly pressed a kiss to his cheek.
Gray froze on the spot.
“Love you, Brother!
You’re the best!!” she chirped, grinning up at him.
Then, with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes, she added, “I pray to God that you successfully woo Sister Lilith!” Gray’s eyes widened slightly, but before he could react, Rose giggled and darted up the stairs, her laughter echoing through the house.
He stood there for a moment, one hand lightly brushing the spot on his cheek where she had kissed him.
His brow twitched as he exhaled slowly, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“… Woo Lilith?” he muttered under his breath.
Gray shook his head, turning toward the window with a faint sigh.
Where does she get these ideas…?
Gray walked up the staircase, his steps slow and deliberate as he made his way to the far end of the hall.

His hand rested briefly on the doorknob before he pushed the door open and stepped inside, closing it softly behind him.
The room was dim, with deep gray walls that merged with the shadows from the faint light coming through the window.
This is my room.
Yes, on the way Alexander finally shared his memories with him.
Gray exhaled quietly.
So that’s why I’m here… The storm had brought more than just rain.
It triggered Ray’s memories, memories both of them wished to avoid.
Unable to face them, Alexander retreated, leaving Gray in control.
Crossing the room, Gray moved toward the large double doors that led to the study.
The room beyond was expansive, divided neatly into four sections.
The first area, Gray’s, had lots of monitors, keyboards, and computers that softly hummed even when not in use.
The second area was Alexander’s €“ with a clean desk, a MacBook, and tall stacks of neatly organized papers by the window.
The papers were full of contracts and reports.
The third section was clearly Ray’s.
A messy corner filled with gaming consoles, controllers, and an oversized chair.
The fourth section, however, was empty.
A single desk sat there, untouched and waiting.
Gray’s gaze lingered on the vacant space for a moment before he walked over to his desk.
Sliding into the chair, he powered on his computers.
The glow of multiple screens illuminated his face as data, files, and news feeds flooded the monitors.
His eyes narrowed as a headline caught his attention.
“Brooks Group Faces Sudden Drop in Stock Market…” Another flashed across the screen almost instantly: “Brooks Family largest Werehouse Engulfed in Fire €“ Cause Remains Unknown.” Gray leaned forward slightly, resting his cheek against his palm as he skimmed through the articles.
His expression remained unreadable, but as the seconds passed, a faint, almost imperceptible smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
A single dimple appeared as his eyes reflected the glow of the screen.
Mysterious, isn’t it?
*€¢*€¢* Lilith spent most of the day lounging around the house, feeling bored out of her mind.
She ended up calling Ava and Nova, chatting with them for hours just to kill time.
Their usual gossip and lighthearted teasing made the day pass a little faster, but once the call ended, the silence crept back in.
She flopped onto the couch, staring at the ceiling, lazily scrolling through her phone.
Nothing interesting…
Just as she was about to put the phone down, a message popped up from Nina, the actress she had once arranged to be Sebastian’s date for an event.
Nina: Hi Lilith’s brow arched slightly.
She hadn’t expected to hear from her.
Lilith: Hi.
How is your health, Miss Nina?
There was a brief pause before Nina replied.
Nina: I’m fine, but I need to talk to you about something important.
Can we meet?
Lilith frowned, sitting up a little straighter.
Important?
Lilith: I have work tomorrow.
Nina: How about after office hours?
Lilith stared at the screen for a moment, curiosity piqued.
Lilith: That’s fine.
Nina: I’ll send you the address tomorrow.
Thank you.
Lilith: Welcome.
Setting the phone down, Lilith leaned back against the cushions, eyes narrowing slightly.
What could be so important that she needs to meet in person?
Whatever it was, Lilith had a feeling it wasn’t going to be boring.
**** The next day, Lilith woke up early, feeling more refreshed than usual.
After a quick morning routine, she dressed in her usual sharp office outfit, fitted yet professional.
With her hair casually draped over one shoulder, she grabbed her bag and left for work.
The office hummed quietly with the sound of computers and soft conversations as employees arrived.
Lilith settled into her desk, swiftly going through emails and planning the day’s schedule.
Before long, her eyes wandered to the clock.
Time to check in.
Rising from her chair, she made her way to the break room and poured a cup of coffee, the rich aroma filling the air.
With the cup in hand, she walked down the hall toward Sebastian’s office, the soft click of her heels echoing lightly.
Stopping at his door, she knocked gently.
“Come in,” his voice sounded from inside, cold and distant as always.
Lilith pushed open the door and stepped inside, her eyes immediately landing on Sebastian Alexander seated behind his desk.
His face was the same unreadable mask, sharp eyes flicking up to meet hers as she approached.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Alexander’s gaze lingered on her longer than necessary, his head tilting slightly as if studying her.
Lilith raised a brow but said nothing, walking forward to set the coffee on his desk.
“Your coffee,” she said simply.
Alexander’s fingers brushed the cup as he pulled it closer, but his eyes didn’t leave her face.
Before either of them could say another word- “Sebbbvyyyyyyy!
I’m in the office!” The shrill voice rang out like nails on glass, instantly tightening Sebastian’s jaw.
His grip on the coffee cup stiffened slightly.
Lilith’s lips twitched into a smirk.
She didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was.
Without so much as a knock, Sienna waltzed into the office as if she owned the place, her bright eyes fixed directly on Sebastian.
Alexander’s gaze dropped to the papers on his desk, clearly done with her.
His knuckles lightly tapped against the edge of his desk, the only sign of irritation as his cold eyes flicked up to meet Sienna’s overly cheerful expression.
“What do you think you’re doing, Miss Sienna?” he said, his voice low and sharp, like a blade pressed lightly to the skin.
Sienna froze for a moment at his tone, her eyes shifting between him and Lilith.
“Why so formal, Sebby?” she tried to laugh it off, stepping closer.
“It’s just me.” Lilith crossed her arms, leaning slightly against the edge of his desk, thoroughly entertained.
Alexander’s jaw clenched again, this time more visibly.
“Miss Sienna,” he repeated slowly, eyes narrowing slightly.
“Knock.
Next time.” The smile on Sienna’s face faded, and Lilith didn’t bother hiding her amusement.
Sienna clenched her fists at her sides, her nails biting into her palms.
Lilith stood there, leaning against Sebastian’s desk, a quiet smirk tugging at her lips.
The way she carried herself, so calm and sure, only made Sienna’s anger boil hotter.
Sebastian is mine.
The thought circled in her head, louder with each second.
She didn’t care about anything.
Sienna’s heels clicked softly against the floor as she stepped forward, her movements sharp and determined.
Lilith arched a brow but said nothing, letting her gaze drift lazily between Sienna and Sebastian.
Sienna ignored Alexander’s cold, intense stare.
Without hesitation, she leaned in closer.
Her hands lightly brushed against Sebastian’s shoulders as she was about to lower herself onto his lap, claiming the space like it was hers.
But-
