Devilish secretary - Chapter 83
Chapter 83: Chapter 83 Indirect PDA Chapter 83: Chapter 83 Indirect PDA Ava, still watching Sebastian, leaned closer to Lilith.
“He’s looking straight this way, you know…” she whispered, barely concealing the teasing tone behind her voice.
Lilith sipped her drink without looking away.
Of course, he is.
Sebastian’s gaze was fixed on her, sharp and focused, as if nothing else in the room mattered.
He didn’t seem to care that half the office was staring.
His focus was singular-Lilith.
Nova grinned, nudging Lilith with his elbow.
“You sure there’s nothing going on between you two?” Lilith set her drink down with a quiet clink, raising a brow.
“He’s my boss.” “Sure,” Ava said with a smirk.
“And I’m the Queen of England.” Sebastian kept walking toward them, slow and steady, as if nothing else in the world existed.
Lilith leaned back in her chair, meeting his gaze head-on.
Let him stare.
Lilith’s ears caught the faint whispers rippling through the cafeteria.
“Why is the boss here…?” “He never eats in the cafeteria.” “Is he looking for someone?” Lilith’s eyes flickered to Sebastian as he crossed the room with calm, deliberate steps.
His gaze remained locked onto her, ignoring the stares and hushed voices trailing behind him.
Nova leaned in closer, whispering just loud enough for Lilith to hear.
“Lilith… what did you do?” Ava smirked, resting her chin in her hand.
“Forget that-why does it feel like he’s about to sit with us?” Lilith stayed composed, swirling her drink lazily.
“He won’t,” she replied coolly, not even looking up.
But just as she finished the thought- Sebastian stopped directly in front of their table.
The whispers grew louder, but he ignored them all.
His gaze lowered to Lilith, and for a moment, the cafeteria felt like it held its breath.
Sebastian’s voice broke the silence, calm and smooth.
“Miss Lilith, may I join you for lunch?” Nova almost choked on his drink.
Ava’s eyes widened slightly before she hid her grin behind her hand.
Lilith raised an eyebrow, finally meeting Sebastian’s gaze.
“You’re asking?” Sebastian tilted his head, the faintest hint of amusement tugging at his lips.
“Would you prefer I order you to?” Nova nudged Lilith under the table, whispering dramatically.
“Say yes before he changes his mind and takes me instead.” Ava laughed softly, biting her lip to keep from giggling out loud.

“Suit yourself,” she said casually, gesturing to the empty seat across from her.
Without hesitation, Sebastian pulled out the chair and sat down, completely unfazed by the stares and whispers spreading through the cafeteria like wildfire.
His cold gaze swept across the room, landing briefly on the groups of employees gossiping at nearby tables.
The moment his eyes met theirs, they quickly averted their gazes, returning to their food with sudden and intense focus.
Nova shifted uncomfortably, clearly uneasy under Sebastian’s presence at their table.
Moments later, a cafeteria worker arrived, carefully placing a luxurious lunch in front of Sebastian-steak, roasted vegetables, and an elegant dessert on the side.
It stood out painfully against the standard cafeteria trays everyone else had.
Lilith arched a brow, leaning slightly toward him.
“Not much for blending in, are you?” she teased.
Sebastian met her gaze briefly, his expression unreadable.
“Why should I?” Before Lilith could respond, Nova cleared his throat loudly.
“Hello, hello, sir!” he said, forcing an awkward grin as he raised his hand in greeting.
Sebastian’s gaze shifted to him, cool and piercing.
Nova immediately regretted speaking.
Sebastian didn’t say a word-just stared.
Nova tensed under Sebastian’s cold stare, feeling like he had just made a grave mistake.
“Uh… nice lunch you’ve got there,” he mumbled, shifting his focus to his plate.
Sebastian gave a slow, deliberate nod, but his eyes lingered on Nova a little longer.
Noticing the tension, Ava chuckled under her breath but didn’t say anything.
Unable to bear the silence, Nova finally blurted out, “So… why are you here, sir?” The moment the words left his mouth, he realized his mistake.
His eyes widened, and he slapped a hand over his mouth, cursing himself internally.
Sebastian’s gaze sharpened slightly, but his tone remained calm.
“Why can’t I?” he replied smoothly, not breaking his stare.
Nova swallowed nervously, shaking his head.
“N-No reason, sir.” Sebastian turned his attention back to his meal but added, almost offhandedly, “I came to have lunch with Lili.” Ava immediately choked on her food, coughing as she grabbed her drink to recover.
Nova’s eyes widened in shock, glancing between Sebastian and Lilith.
Lilith, on the other hand, remained perfectly composed, watching Sebastian with a smirk tugging at her lips.
Human doll is so cute, she thought, resting her chin on her hand as she observed the faint blush threatening to creep up Sebastian’s neck.
She leaned forward slightly, resting her chin on her hand as she smirked.
“Sir, I didn’t realize we were that close for you to start calling me Lili.” Sebastian didn’t blink.
“We are.” Nova, caught between amusement and panic, muttered under his breath, “Oh…” Unfortunately, Sebastian’s sharp gaze immediately snapped to him.
Nova froze, feeling the weight of that cold stare drilling into his soul.
Oh, no.
Why did I say that out loud…?
Nova tried to focus on his food, but it was too late.
Sebastian’s glare lingered a moment longer, clearly unimpressed.
Then, without breaking eye contact with Lilith, Sebastian’s expression shifted.
His voice lowered, dark and husky.
“Miss Lilith, do you want me to remind you just how close we are?” Before she could reply, Sebastian casually turned his head to the side, tilting his jaw just enough for Nova to catch a glimpse of the faint, reddish mark imprinted there.
Nova’s eyes widened instantly.
Is that… a bite mark?!
His fork nearly slipped from his hand as he stared, flicking his gaze back to Lilith, who looked far too entertained by the situation.
Lilith’s smirk only grew as she arched a brow, clearly unfazed by Sebastian’s boldness.
“Oh, I remember just fine,” she said, her tone light but teasing.
“I didn’t think you’d wear it so proudly.” Sebastian leaned back, running his thumb along his jaw as if to emphasize the mark further.
His eyes flickered with amusement, but his voice remained cool and composed.
“I don’t mind keeping souvenirs,” he replied smoothly.
Nova choked on his food, trying to keep up with the tension sparking between the two.
Ava, barely holding back laughter at Nova’s panicked expression, leaned in and whispered, “You’re witnessing something, Nova.
Take notes.” Nova groaned internally, wishing he could disappear under the table.
Damn… they’re sprinkling PDA right in front of me.
He stared at the two, his eyes bouncing between Lilith’s smirk and Sebastian’s subtle yet intense way of flexing their “closeness.” Sebastian, noticing Nova’s lingering gaze, narrowed his eyes slightly.
His expression darkened, clearly displeased.
“Do you want some?” Sebastian asked coldly, his gaze piercing through Nova.
Nova blinked in confusion.
“Huh?” Sebastian’s eyes flicked toward his plate of luxurious food.
Nova’s jaw nearly dropped.
“Oh!
Oh, no-how dare I?” he stammered, waving his hands dramatically.
“I wouldn’t dare touch your food, sir.” Sebastian’s gaze lingered on him for a moment longer, as if assessing whether or not Nova was lying.
Lilith chuckled softly as she watched the scene unfold.
“Relax, Nova.
He’s just messing with you,” she said, though the teasing glint in her eyes suggested she was enjoying Nova’s suffering far too much.
“Messing or not, I’d like to survive this lunch,” Nova muttered under his breath, stealing a glance at Sebastian, who was still watching him like a hawk.
Ava leaned closer, whispering just loud enough for Nova to hear, “You’re sweating.” “I know,” Nova hissed quietly, tugging at his collar.
Sebastian finally returned to his meal, satisfied with Nova’s panic.
Poor Nova.
He wasn’t ready for this level of indirect PDA.
*** Sienna paced around her office, heels clicking sharply against the marble floor.
Her hands curled into fists at her sides, nails digging into her palms.
Why did I let her scare me?
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became.
Lilith’s just a secretary.
Sienna wasn’t lacking money or connections.
There was no reason to be afraid of losing her position..no reason to let her win.
How could she even threaten my hard earned job?
Sienna scowled.
[ Author: Sure, sure €“ hard-earned 😉 ] But… when she recalled that moment…Lilith’s icy gaze piercing straight through her…the memory sent a shiver down her spine.
That aura wasn’t normal.
It wasn’t something Sienna had felt from anyone before.
Lilith’s eyes were cold, dark… almost inhuman.
Sienna clenched her jaw.
I’ll deal with her.
Grabbing her phone, she dialed quickly.
After a few rings, a gruff voice answered.
“I need you to dig up everything you can on someone,” Sienna said, her tone sharp.
“Her name is Lilith.
She’s Sebastian’s secretary.” There was a pause.
“Surname?” the investigator asked.
Sienna frowned, pacing again.
“I don’t know her last name,” she snapped.
“Just find it.
Yes-yes, that’s all I have.
I want everything you can get.
Send it to me as soon as possible.” Hanging up the call, Sienna tossed her phone onto the floor and crossed her arms tightly.
Let’s see who you really are, Lilith.
Her lips curled into a smirk, but it didn’t reach her eyes.
The uneasy feeling from Lilith’s stare still lingered in the back of her mind, and no matter how hard she tried to shake it… She couldn’t.
