Devilish secretary - Chapter 86
Chapter 86: Chapter 86 Only mine Chapter 86: Chapter 86 Only mine Knox’s expression changed subtly, his eyes narrowing.
Lilith caught the change immediately.
She rested her chin on her hand, observing him carefully.
“Did you feel someone watching us too?” Knox asked, his voice low but calm.
Lilith’s lips curved faintly.
So, he felt it as well.
He’s not just some random actor, she thought, tapping her fingers lightly against the table.
Sebastian’s grip on his cup tightened until his knuckles turned white.
From where he sat, he had a perfect view of Lilith, resting her chin on her hand, gazing at Knox with what looked like affection.
His heart slammed painfully in his chest.
She’s mine.
Mine.
Only mine.
The words echoed through his mind, louder and louder until the fire burning inside him became unbearable.
His jaw clenched so tightly it ached.
Before he could stop himself, Sebastian stood abruptly, ripping off his mask and cap, tossing them onto the table without care.
His long strides carried him toward their table, his eyes locked on Lilith like a hunter closing in on prey.
“Lili!” Sebastian’s voice cut through the café, startling both Lilith and Knox.
Several heads turned, but he didn’t care.
Lilith blinked, clearly caught off guard as Sebastian pulled out the chair next to her and sat down-very close.
Too close.
Before she could say anything, his arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her even closer until their shoulders brushed.
His hand slid over hers, intertwining their fingers possessively.
Knox’s brows lifted slightly, eyes flicking to Sebastian with a calm but curious stare.
“Sir…?” Lilith’s voice carried a mix of amusement and disbelief as she looked at him.
So… the human doll was the one watching me.
Sebastian’s hold tightened ever so slightly.
His eyes softened as he leaned in, brushing his lips against her ear.
“Oh, Lili, don’t call me sir after office hours,” he said, his voice dropping to something dangerously sweet.
Lilith’s brow arched high, but the playful glint in her eyes didn’t fade.

He’s jealous.
Knox’s gaze lingered on their intertwined hands for a moment before his sharp eyes flickered up to meet Lilith’s.
A teasing glint flickered in his expression as he leaned slightly forward, resting his arm casually on the table.
“So, Lilith… is he your boyfriend?” Knox asked, his voice smooth but filed with curiosity.
His eyes shifted briefly to Sebastian, sizing him up with subtle interest.
Sebastian’s grip on Lilith’s hand tightened slightly, his thumb brushing against her skin in a way that felt more possessive than comforting.
Sebastian Carter.
CEO of Carter Enterprises.
Sebastian’s cold eyes met Knox’s without hesitation, his gaze sharp and icy.
“Any doubt?” he replied, his tone firm, leaving no room for question.
Lilith raised a brow, her lips curling into a faint smirk as she watched the silent exchange between the two men.
Knox chuckled softly, leaning back in his chair.
“Not at all,” he said lightly, but the flicker of amusement in his eyes told a different story.
Lilith couldn’t help but enjoy the scene.
Sebastian rarely lets anyone get under his skin… but Knox seems to be doing just fine.
“So,” Knox continued, glancing at Lilith with a playful smile, “how long have you two been together?” Sebastian opened his mouth to respond, but Lilith cut in smoothly, her voice light and teasing.
“Oh, we’ve been very close for a while now,” she said, leaning slightly into Sebastian’s side, playing along.
Sebastian’s eyes flickered to her, the corner of his mouth twitching faintly in approval.
Knox watched the interaction closely but didn’t push further.
“Good,” Knox finally said, smiling faintly.
Sebastian’s patience wore thin as Knox’s gaze lingered just a little too long.
The subtle smirk on Knox’s face only fueled the fire burning in his chest.
Fix seb and Lilith position: Sebastian stood abruptly, leaning down near Lilith ear, just enough to let his words reach Knox-loud enough for him to hear but soft enough to sound intimate., “Darling, you promised to keep me company.
Let’s go,” Sebastian said, his voice smooth but possessive as his hand slipped to Lilith’s waist.
Lilith raised a brow, glancing up at him with mild amusement and a helpless sigh.
Human doll’s getting bold.
Without a word, she stood, allowing Sebastian to guide her away from the table.
Before leaving, she glanced back at Knox, her eyes calm.
“I’ll consider your offer,” she said, flashing a faint smile.
Knox nodded, though his gaze never left Sebastian.
“Take your time,” Knox replied smoothly, but there was a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes.
“I’ll take my leave.
Let Nina know for me,” Lilith added casually.
Sebastian didn’t wait.
His hand tightened around her wrist, gently but firmly pulling her toward the exit.
Knox watched them leave, his fingers drumming lightly against the table as the door chimed behind them.
A few minutes later, Nina returned from the washroom, wiping her hands with a napkin as she looked around.
Her eyes narrowed when she noticed Lilith was missing.
“Where’s Lilith?” she asked, sliding back into her seat across from Knox.
Knox leaned back, his gaze drifting to the spot Lilith had occupied moments ago.
“She left,” Knox replied nonchalantly.
Nina’s eyes widened in horror.
“What?!
Did you scare her off too?” she gasped, shaking her head dramatically.
“Oh my god, Knox!
How Do you know I have a crush on Lilith?” She covered her mouth immediately, regretting the words the second they slipped out.
Knox’s gaze sharpened in an instant, his eyes darkening as he leaned forward slightly.
“Crush?” His voice dropped to a dangerously low octave.
Nina froze, beads of sweat forming at the back of her neck.
She waved her hands frantically, forcing an awkward laugh.
“N-No!
I was just joking!
Totally kidding!” Nina stammered, her eyes darting to the side, avoiding his intense stare.
Knox’s gaze didn’t waver, his fingers tapping slowly against the table.
“Nina…” Nina gulped.
Why do I always talk too much?
On the other side, Sebastian’s grip on Lilith’s wrist didn’t ease as he led her briskly across the street, weaving through the light evening crowd.
The glow of streetlights reflected off the sleek glass panels of the towering building ahead, one of his own properties.
