Devilish secretary - Chapter 87
Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Confess Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Confess Lilith’s heels clicked sharply against the floor as they entered the lobby.
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she took in the luxurious space.
“Sir, where are you taking me?” she asked, her voice steady but filed with curiosity.
Sebastian didn’t answer right away, instead leading her to a private elevator hidden from the main area.
He pressed his thumb against the fingerprint scanner, and the doors slid open silently.
He pulled her inside without a word, pressing the button for the top floor.
Lilith leaned casually against the elevator wall, crossing her arms as the doors sealed shut behind them.
“So… silence is your answer?” she teased, watching him out of the corner of her eye.
“You know, sir, dragging your employees to private buildings without an explanation could look suspicious.
Should I call HR?” Sebastian’s eyes flicked to her briefly, his jaw clenched.
The doors slid open, revealing the top floor-floor twenty-nine.
Sebastian’s hand didn’t loosen until they stepped out onto the dimly-lit terrace.
The wind greeted them immediately, tugging at Lilith’s hair and causing the strands to dance wildly around her face.
The glow of the city stretched beneath them, lights flickering like stars as darkness slowly crept over the skyline.
Finally, Sebastian let go of her wrist, his intense gaze lingering on her.
Lilith’s piercing blue eyes glowed faintly in the night, the wind brushing against her skin as she met his stare without hesitation.
“Sir… why did you-” she began, but before she could finish, Sebastian cut her off.
“You can’t be in a relationship with him,” he said abruptly, his tone sharp yet calm.
Lilith arched a brow, curiosity flickering behind her eyes.
“Why?” she asked, the corners of her lips curling ever so slightly.
Excitement bloomed quietly in her chest, though she kept her expression composed.
Sebastian stepped closer, his gaze never leaving hers.
The wind tousled his dark hair, but under the faint city lights, his sharp features looked even more striking-dangerously so.
“Because, Miss Lilith…” his voice dropped, rough and filled with something undeniable, “you only belong to me.” His words hung heavily between them.
Lilith’s smirk faded slightly as Sebastian’s chest brushed against her hand, her palm resting flat over his heart.
She could feel it-his heartbeat, loud and unsteady beneath the layers of his shirt.
He wasn’t unaffected by her.
The tension between them thickened as Sebastian’s eyes darkened.
Lilith took a step back, but he followed, his movements slow and deliberate.
Step by step, he closed the distance between them until her back pressed gently against the terrace railing.

Sebastian leaned in, his hand rising to brush her hair back.
His fingers traced along her jaw, his touch lingering just beneath her chin, lifting it slightly.
His other hand slid down, settling firmly on her waist, pulling her just a little closer.
His breath was warm against her skin, and Lilith’s heart raced-though her face gave nothing away.
“What do you say, Miss Lilith?” he murmured, his thumb brushing lightly over her lips.
Lilith’s gaze darkened as she held his stare, unblinking.
Sebastian’s eyes searched hers, and after a moment of silence, he leaned in even closer, his forehead nearly touching hers.
“You’re making me crazy, Miss Lilith…” he whispered, his voice raw and filled with emotion.
“Every night, I want to wake up early just to see your face.
Every time, I want to call you to my office just so I can look at you again.
I love your attitude… your boldness… you have no idea what you do to me.” Lilith’s breath hitched slightly, but she didn’t pull away.
For once, Sebastian wasn’t hiding anything behind cold expressions or carefully chosen words.
His voice was low, rough with emotion as he leaned even closer, his forehead brushing lightly against Lilith’s.
“Although I wasn’t planning to confess,” he whispered, his hands tightening around her waist, “I can’t stay without you… or let anyone snatch what’s mine.” His breath fanned against her lips, the space between them almost nonexistent.
“So, Miss Lilith…” Sebastian’s intense gaze held hers firmly, his eyes searching for any flicker of hesitation.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” The city lights shone in Lilith’s eyes as she stared back at him, her expression unreadable.
The wind tugged at her hair, but she didn’t move away.
For once, she didn’t have a teasing remark ready.
Sebastian’s grip on her waist remained firm, his thumb absentmindedly brushing small circles over her side as he waited, his heart pounding louder than it ever had before.
*** On the other side, Rose was curled up on the couch, holding a warm cup of cocoa in her hands.
The soft blanket wrapped around her felt cozier than anything she had back at her Old estate.
She smiled to herself, her small feet swinging lazily as she watched cartoons on the oversized television.
The new nanny, a kind woman named Maria, brought out a fresh plate of cookies and set them in front of Rose with a gentle pat on her head.
“Eat while it’s warm, sweetheart,” Maria said with a smile.
Rose nodded eagerly.
“Thank you, Miss Maria!” Compared to the cold and tense environment of her old home, this place felt like a different world.
There were no harsh words from Grandma Bria or insulting words from Sienna.
Here, it felt safe-warm.
Her brother, Sebastian, had hired Maria personally.
She wasn’t just a nanny; she felt like family.
She also got her phone back, and she couldn’t be happier.
Although, thanks to her brother, she had learned how to survive without it.
She had decided not to bring her skeleton buddy from the old house.
As much as she had once adored it, leaving it behind just felt right.
Maybe it belonged there… not here.
Hehehe.
Rose giggled softly to herself, sinking deeper into the plush couch as colorful characters danced across the TV screen.
The cartoon’s cheerful music filled the room.
Who knew TV could be this fun?
She popped another cookie into her mouth, humming happily.
If there was one thing she learned during her “no phone” era, it was how to entertain herself with whatever was available.
All thanks to her devil brother, she thought with a grin.
