Chapter 98: Chapter 98 This woman isn’t just anyone Chapter 98: Chapter 98 This woman isn’t just anyone “Human doll…” Lilith muttered under her breath as she carefully adjusted Rose, tucking the blanket snugly around the little girl before standing up from the bed.
Sebastian’s eyes immediately flicked to her as she moved.
But the moment she stood, his gaze froze.
Lilith was still wearing his shirt.
The fabric, already oversized on her, had ridden higher as she stretched, revealing the smooth, fair skin of her thighs.
The sight sent a jolt through him, and heat rushed straight to his face.
Sebastian’s breath hitched, and he instinctively turned away, his hand moving quickly to cover his nose.
Without a word, he spun on his heel and strode out of the room, his steps faster than usual as he escaped down the hallway.
Maria, who had been waiting nearby, caught sight of him and stepped forward.
“Sir, did you-” she began, but Sebastian brushed past her without even glancing her way.
“Not now,” he muttered, his voice lower than usual as he disappeared toward his own room.
As Lilith stepped out of Rose’s room, she came face-to-face with Maria, who was standing in the hallway.
“Hello ma’am, I’m Maria!” the older woman greeted, bowing her head respectfully.
Lilith raised a brow, tilting her head slightly before giving a soft but commanding smile.
“Raise your head, Miss Maria,” she said, her voice calm but laced with authority.
“I’m Lilith.” The tone of her words and the aura surrounding her left Maria stunned.
For a brief moment, Maria felt as though she had bowed before a queen.
Her hands tingled as goosebumps spread across her skin.
“Y-Yes, Miss Lilith,” Maria stammered, straightening herself quickly, still trying to compose herself.
Lilith glanced around briefly before looking back at Maria.
“By the way, where’s your sir’s room?” she asked casually, but her piercing gaze made it clear she wasn’t just asking.
Maria hesitated, her hands clasping nervously in front of her.
Sir had made it clear when she was hired: no one, under any circumstances, was allowed inside his private quarters without his permission.
But as Maria looked at Lilith dressed in Sir’s shirt no less, exuding an air of confidence and grace, She felt her thoughts begin to falter.
“Um… I…” Maria began, shifting awkwardly.
Lilith’s sharp gaze pinned her in place, though there was no malice in it.
“Miss Maria,” Lilith said softly, leaning slightly closer, her smile unwavering.
“I’m simply asking for directions.” Maria gulped, her heart racing as she nodded slowly.
“F-Follow me, Miss Lilith,” she said finally, leading the way.
As they walked toward Sebastian’s room, Maria couldn’t help but think: This woman isn’t just anyone.

Maria stopped just outside Sebastian’s room and gestured to the door.
Lilith nodded.
“You can go,” she said calmly, and Maria bowed slightly before walking away, her steps quick as if eager to escape the lingering tension.
Lilith turned back to the door and knocked lightly.
No response.
She frowned, crossing her arms impatiently.
“What’s wrong with you, Human Doll?” she muttered under her breath, knocking again-this time a little louder.
The silence stretched, and just as she was about to knock a third time- The door swung open.
Lilith’s thoughts screeched to a halt as she took in the sight before her.
Sebastian.
And nothing else.
He stood there, wearing only a towel loosely wrapped around his waist.
The droplets of water still clinging to his muscular chest glistened in the soft light filtering into the room.
His broad shoulders looked impossibly strong, and his six-pack abs, perfectly carved seemed to glisten like something out of a dream.
His dark, wet hair clung to his forehead, a few strands falling over his intense eyes, which were now locked entirely on her.
“Lili,” he said, his voice low and slightly husky from the steam of the shower, his gaze intense as it roamed over her face.
For the first time in a while, Lilith felt her brain freeze.
Her mouth parted slightly, but no words came out.
Instead, her eyes betrayed her, trailing down his chest before snapping back up to meet his sharp, knowing gaze.
Sebastian tilted his head slightly, leaning against the doorframe, his lips curving into the faintest smirk.
“Something wrong?” he asked, his tone teasing but filed with heat.
Lilith blinked, regaining her composure quickly.
She crossed her arms, raising a brow at him despite the sudden heat rushing to her face.
“Are you planning to stand there half-naked, or should I come in?” she said, her voice steady but slightly sharper than usual.
Sebastian’s smirk deepened as he stepped aside, gesturing for her to enter.
“Be my guest,” he said smoothly, his dark gaze still lingering on her.
Lilith walked past him, forcing herself to ignore the way her heart raced and silently vowing to get even with her Human Doll for throwing her off balance.
“Why did you run away all of a sudden?” Lilith asked as she sat on his bed, her voice casual but curious.
She glanced around his room, taking in the space.
The room was luxurious, just as she had expected.
The walls were painted a deep, rich black, giving the room an elegant yet slightly intimidating aura.
The furniture sleek and modern was meticulously arranged, each piece exuding wealth and taste.
Her gaze drifted to the large windows, which offered a breathtaking view of the city below, the morning light streaming in softly.
Lilith crossed her legs on the bed, which was large enough to swallow her whole, covered in crisp black sheets that matched the overall aesthetic of the room.
Sebastian, still standing near the door with his towel slung low around his waist, didn’t answer immediately.
Instead, he crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe as he watched her with an unreadable expression.
“Ran away?” he repeated, raising a brow.
“Yes, ran away,” Lilith said, gesturing toward him with a smirk.
“I was in Rose’s room when I saw you disappear in a flash.
What’s the matter, Human Doll?
Did something spook you?” Sebastian’s jaw tightened, his dark eyes narrowing slightly as he stepped closer.
“I wasn’t spooked,” he replied evenly, though the faint pink at the tips of his ears betrayed him.
Lilith’s smirk widened, her piercing blue eyes glinting mischievously.
“Sure,” she said, drawing out the word, leaning back slightly on her hands.
“So what was it, then?”
