Chapter 59: Chapter 57: The president of “the Demon Slayer Association!”
I approached him in a half-crouch, my steps light and silent, and the monk seemed unaware. Holding my breath, I waited until I was just a few meters away, then channeled my demonic energy, forming my fingers into claws, and lunged at his head!
This sneak attack was nearly unavoidable, but just as my claws were about to reach his bald head, I noticed two red glows in the dust before me.
Somehow, the monk had silently turned around!
“Damn!” I cursed inwardly, knowing my attack had failed. I quickly withdrew, but the monk immediately counterattacked. A flash of silver appeared before me, the thin whip’s head striking like a venomous snake.
Startled, I dodged instinctively, turning my head just in time. Though I avoided a fatal blow, a large piece of flesh was sliced off my left cheek.
Landing back on the ground, I felt a sharp, bone-chilling pain on my face.
“Heh, not bad, not bad. You thought of an attack method in an instant, and it was nearly flawless. Anyone else would have been crushed,” the monk’s loud laughter echoed again. “But unfortunately, your opponent is me. Any sneak attack is useless against me.”
“Stop boasting, monk!” I spat, enduring the pain of my regenerating facial tissue, and sneered.
The monk laughed heartily. “Boy, I’m not boasting. I’ll stop attacking and let you see clearly!”
As I was about to respond, the surrounding dust began to settle. The Devil eye’s demonic aura remained, but the monk’s body was facing away from me!
“Heh, do you understand now?” the monk laughed, revealing two Devil eyes on the back of his smooth head, their gaze evil and lively, scrutinizing me.
The monk’s bizarre appearance left me stunned. In that moment of distraction, I inadvertently made eye contact with his Devil eyes. The instant our gazes met, I felt a surge of anger and an overwhelming urge to laugh hysterically!
Two extreme emotions suddenly arose in my mind, sending a chill down my spine.
Realizing it was the monk’s Devil eyes, I quickly looked up, and sure enough, as soon as I broke eye contact, my emotions returned to normal.
The monk, noticing my reaction, laughed arrogantly. “Boy, now you know my power.”
Crouching on the ground, I calmed myself and smiled. “Monk, you truly have hidden depths. Those Devil eyes can invade my thoughts so easily. Your power is far greater than I imagined.” Having learned my lesson, I dared not meet his gaze again.
“Heh, but even with these Devil eyes, I’m only using fifty percent of my strength,” the monk laughed.
“I didn’t expect the Demon Slayer Association to have someone as powerful as ‘Four-Eyed God’ besides Miyamoto Musashi,” I said, frowning, while secretly picking up two sharp stones and hiding them in my palm.
After the monk denied being a Satanic sect member, I suspected he might be from the Demon Slayer Association. Seeing his four Devil eyes confirmed my suspicion—he was the ‘Four-Eyed God’ of the Demon Slayer Association.
Just as I thought I had guessed his true identity, the monk laughed and said, “You guessed half right. I am a member of the Demon Slayer Association, but I’m not the ‘Four-Eyed God.'”
Before I could ask further, I heard a noise behind me. The monk had already swung the eighty-one-section whip at me. Sensing the whip and the large cherry tree coming at me, I knew dodging left or right wouldn’t work. I had to leap straight up.
In midair, I released the two sharp stones I had hidden, aiming them at the monk’s head.
The two stones, though released together, had different trajectories. The first whistled through the air, meant to distract, while the second, silent and deadly, followed behind.
But as soon as I released the stones, I knew it was futile.
Two blood-red glows emanated from the monk’s head.
The two Devil eyes on his head looked at me mockingly.
Suddenly, I felt an inexplicable sorrow, a desire to die right there; but as I remembered I was in midair, cold sweat broke out on my back, and a wave of fear washed over me.
My emotions had inexplicably become both fearful and sorrowful.
“I told you, sneak attacks are useless against me.” At that moment, the two stones neared the monk’s head, one loud and one silent, but he caught them both with a wave of his hand.

In midair, I was stunned.
“After all, I am the president of the Demon Slayer Association!” the monk laughed arrogantly, not looking up, but his whip shot toward me with unerring accuracy!
In the blink of an eye, the silver whip, with extraordinary force, was already in front of me. Unfortunately, I was in mid-air, unable to leverage any force, and my heart was filled with anxiety. Just as the whip was about to slice my neck, I was suddenly struck by a tremendous force at my waist, causing my body to move several meters sideways, narrowly avoiding the black-robed monk’s attack.
I flipped and landed back on the ground, secretly breathing a sigh of relief. As I was about to search for the source of that immense force, a black shadow flashed in the corner of my eye, and then my left shoulder felt heavy, as if something had perched on it.
“Kid, you look so pathetic. You’re bringing shame to both me and your master.” I turned my head and saw a pair of eerie green cat eyes arrogantly looking down at me. It was Rahab.
“Damn cat, how are you not dead?” Seeing Rahab suddenly appear, I was momentarily happy, but my words were still harsh.
Rahab looked ahead, snorted coldly, and said, “I haven’t been idling away these thousands of years. But you, kid, your performance is really poor. If I hadn’t saved you just now, you’d already be dead.”
“Heh, weren’t you defeated by Yang Jian and captured? If I hadn’t intervened, that three-eyed freak might have already cut off your cat head.” I laughed heartily, and Rahab suddenly whipped my cheek with his tail.
“Dead cat, what was that for?” I touched my hot cheek and frowned.
“Heh, silly kid, I allowed myself to be captured on purpose. Yang Jian is just at the level of Wu kong. It would take him another hundred years to defeat me,” Rahab said with a sinister smile.
Just as I was about to ask why, Rahab suddenly stopped smiling, looked up at the black-robed monk, and said with a serious face, “Little Cer, you went a bit too hard just now, didn’t you?” From Rahab’s words, it seemed he and the black-robed monk knew each other well, which surprised me. At this moment, the black-robed monk suddenly burst into laughter.
“Rahab, if he is to be Satan, then you or I would be better suited,” the black-robed monk said arrogantly. “I was only using seventy percent of my human state power just now, and he couldn’t handle it. If he faced Samael, he’d be dead in less than two minutes.” As he spoke, his demonic aura dissipated, and his eyes turned a shade of green similar to Rahab’s.
Rahab lowered his head in silence, seemingly unable to refute the monk’s words. I watched this, feeling uneasy.
After a while, Rahab glanced at me and sighed. “Little Cer, that may be true, but the one bearing the ‘Number’ is him, not you or me. This ‘Number’ is the key to uniting the demons.”
The black-robed monk sneered, “So what? His power is only slightly better than Wu kong’s. When the third heavenly battle arrives, if his performance is unsatisfactory, it will shake our army’s morale and cause more demons to rebel. It would be a loss rather than a gain!” As he spoke, his body emitted a demonic aura, and his eyes turned a shade of green similar to Rahab’s.
Rahab snorted coldly, “So, what’s your brilliant idea?”
“Heh, have the kid hand over the ‘Eye of Illusionss,’ then let me or you use them. Through illusions, we can…” The black-robed monk was still speaking when Rahab suddenly roared, his demonic aura surging, “Shut up! Have you forgotten the oath we took in Eden?”
“Hmph, how could I forget? But the person before us is no longer the Satan we once knew. Should we blindly follow the oath we made a thousand years ago?” Despite his cold demeanor, I saw a flash of sorrow in the monk’s eyes.
Mentioning the past, both fell silent.
The sudden silence made the air in the orphanage feel empty, with the occasional cawing of crows seemingly unheard by them. In the quiet atmosphere, I could vaguely sense their deep sorrow.
“Rahab, is this monk the angel who swore to follow Satan for life with you and Kong ming?” I broke the silence first. I remembered Rahab mentioning that when they guarded the Garden of Eden, he had a very close relationship with Kong ming and another angel. Later, Kong ming betrayed them, but Rahab never mentioned the whereabouts of the other angel.
Rahab looked at the black-robed monk and sighed softly, “Yes. He is also one of the Seven Lords, with power second only to mine, but above Kong ming and Wu kong.”
