Chapter 68: Chapter 66: A corpse?Satan Lucifer?
The room’s exterior was clearly covered with a special material that blocked Yang Jian’s ‘Clairvoyance Eye’. However, the relic of Satan, likely containing ‘Hell’, was placed outside this chamber.
Could it be that something even more important than the ‘Ark’ is hidden in this room?
After thinking for a moment, I decided to check what was inside the chamber first. Besides, I had promised Yan’er to rescue Daji.
“Hmm, this door also requires a password to open,” I said, turning to Zicheng. “Zicheng, check if the guards’ eyeballs are intact.”
Zicheng nodded and was about to walk towards the door when Miyamoto Musashi, who had been silent, suddenly stopped him, saying, “Wait.”
Zicheng paused and looked back at him in confusion.
Miyamoto Musashi stood beside the chamber door, closed his eyes, and gently touched the wall, his brows furrowed as if observing something
After a moment, he opened his eyes, drew his katana, gripped the hilt with both hands, raised it high, and then lightly slashed at the wall. Though the move seemed slow, it was incredibly powerful, and as the blade descended, a gust of wind swept through the area.
However, when the blade touched the ground, the steel wall remained intact, smooth as ever.
Miyamoto Musashi sheathed his katana and said coldly, “This way is much simpler.”
As he finished speaking, a massive crack suddenly appeared in the wall before him!
The crack was about two meters high, more than enough for a person to pass through. Since the steel wall wasn’t equipped with an alarm, the significant damage didn’t alert anyone.
I stared at the large crack, astonished. “That slash was over the top!”
Miyamoto Musashi didn’t respond, just gave me a cold look before walking into the chamber.
Yang Jian approached me and whispered, “Don’t take it personally. Musashi has always hated demons. He swore a solemn oath to kill any demon he encounters, except for our sworn brothers and godfather.”
“Kill any demon? Does he have a deep-seated grudge against demons?” I asked curiously.
Yang Jian sighed, looking at Musashi’s back. “He has an irreconcilable enmity with demons.”
Hearing Yang Jian’s sincere words and looking at Musashi’s solitary figure, I felt a sense of empathy.
“Forget it, I won’t hold it against him. Tell me his story sometime,” I said with a smile.
Yang Jian nodded gratefully and then stepped through the crack into the chamber.
Perhaps every demon has a deeply ingrained, unforgettable past that turns them into a source of sorrow. Rahab, Zicheng, Cerberus, and Miyamoto Musashi all have such stories.
But what about me?
The question suddenly popped into my mind.
All along, my actions have been driven by Rahab and my master’s wishes, but I have no personal goal. It seems all my ties are merely inherited from the ‘Beast’s’ blood.
Why do I live? What do I fight for?
As I pondered this, a wave of inexplicable fatigue washed over me.
“Big Brother, come in quickly!” Yan’er’s voice from inside the chamber pulled me back to reality.
I shook my head vigorously to clear my thoughts and quickly stepped into the chamber.
As I crossed the crack in the steel wall and peeked inside, I saw that this chamber was more than three times the size of the laboratory outside. The room was densely packed with cylindrical containers filled with a pale blue liquid, and inside each container was a completely naked human body.

The containers were neatly arranged, and despite the dim lighting in the chamber, the blue glow from the cylinders illuminated the surroundings. There were at least a thousand of them.
As I approached, I noticed that the people trapped in the cylinders occasionally had bubbles rising from their noses, indicating they were still breathing.
They stood with their eyes closed, completely motionless, as if they had been sedated and were unconscious.
“What… what is this?” I asked, my eyes wide with astonishment, unable to guess the origins of these people.
Yang Jian, his face bathed in the blue light, stared at the naked figures in the cylinders for a moment and suddenly said, “These people are demons!”
“What? Demons?” I exclaimed in surprise.
“Yes, this demon was active in Europe, usually keeping a low profile. I met him thousands of years ago. Although it’s been a long time, I would never mistake him,” Yang Jian said with a nod, continuing to look around. He quickly pointed to another figure and said, “This person is also a demon.”
I looked at the blue cylinders and frowned. “Could it be that all these cylinders contain demons?”
Yan’er, who had been standing beside me, suddenly shouted, “Mom!” and ran towards the group of cylinders to look for Daji. Yang Jian and the others immediately followed, searching for the missing undercover agent.
I examined a nearby container and noticed something strange about the person inside.
Under the faint blue light, I saw that their eyelids were all sunken or bulging. The sunken eyelids indicated that their eyeballs had been removed.
“Could it be that the Satan Cult has extracted the Devil eyes from these demons?” I thought to myself, unable to fathom the purpose behind the Satan Cult’s actions.
In recent years, the Satan Cult had used various methods to recruit demons from around the world, but Rahab and I had never been able to understand their intentions, as they hadn’t done anything earth-shattering.
Now, seeing so many demons stored in this chamber, it was clear that the Satan Cult’s intentions were more than just expanding their power.
A demon without its Devil eye is just an ordinary person. Yet, the Satan Cult had not only preserved these people but also kept them alive. What was their purpose?
I pondered for a while but couldn’t figure it out, so I decided to set it aside and quickly walked forward.
As I walked, I noticed that all the cylinders looked identical, and the people inside were all in the same standing position.
I carefully observed but couldn’t find any trace of Daji. As I continued walking, I inadvertently reached the end of the chamber.
Just as I was about to turn back and search again, I noticed an unusual red light faintly glowing on the floor. It was so subtle that it would be impossible to notice under normal lighting conditions.
This red light was different from any ordinary color. Though it was as vibrant as blood, it emitted a chilling aura.
It was the evil glow of a Devil eye.
“Looks like we’ve found the chamber within the chamber,” I said with a smile, bending down to examine it. The red light was emanating from the base of the wall, forming a one-meter-long line that seemed to mark the position of a door.
I looked around the door but couldn’t find any lock or mechanism to open it. So, I placed my hand on the wall and slowly felt around, trying to find a hidden switch.
As my palm pressed on the center, I suddenly heard a “click” sound, and the door swiftly rose, revealing the chamber behind the wall.
A burst of blood-red light filled the room, causing me to instinctively shield my eyes. After a few seconds, my vision returned.
This chamber was much smaller than the one outside. On either side were rows of honeycomb-shaped iron cabinets, each containing an eyeball.
Each eyeball had a blood-red pupil.
The entire chamber was filled with this terrifying crimson aura.
“They’ve stored thousands of Devil eyes. What on earth is the Satan Cult up to?” I muttered to myself, astonished by the sight.
The Devil eyes were securely placed in the honeycomb-like iron cabinets, one per compartment. Each compartment contained a light pink liquid, sealed with glass at the front.
The Devil eyes floated up and down, and I couldn’t tell if the color of the liquid was inherent or if it was affected by the red glow of the eyes.
Generally, when a Devil eye is removed, the pupil doesn’t remain red. It only stays active and red if extracted while the demon is using it.
But this state only lasts for a short time. The fact that all the Devil eyes in this chamber were still red suggested that the liquid they were stored in had special properties.
I stood in front of the iron cabinets, thinking for a while. Just as I was about to call the others in, I suddenly heard a faint buzzing sound from the back of the chamber.
Buzz, buzz.
Buzz, buzz.
“Who’s there?” I asked in a low voice, but there was no response.
I immediately heightened my alertness and slowly walked towards the back of the chamber.
At the end of the chamber, there were three rectangular columns arranged in a triangle. Each column was covered with a thick black cloth, and the buzzing sound was coming from the left column.
“Who’s inside?” I asked again, but the only response was the continuous buzzing.
I cautiously approached the column, grabbed a corner of the black cloth, and yanked it off while quickly jumping back.
I expected some kind of mechanism to attack, but under the cloth was just an ordinary glass box.
The box was filled with live flies, and the buzzing sound came from them.
“Typical of the Japanese branch, their chambers are full of bizarre things,” I said, frowning at the box of flies. After a moment, seeing nothing special, I covered the box with the cloth again.
Although the flies in the box seemed ordinary, I became curious about the contents of the other two boxes.
I walked to the middle column and lifted the cloth.
What I saw shocked me to the core, leaving me frozen in place.
This time, there was no repulsive sight. Inside was just a naked corpse.
A corpse, completely black, with long horns on its head, and an exceptionally handsome face
A corpse, missing its eyes, with a cold expression and an aura of authority.
A corpse, its upper body covered in blood-red totems that sent chills down the spine.
The totem was the ‘Beast’s’ blood seal, 666.
This corpse was the closest being to God, according to the Bible.
The King of Hell, Satan Lucifer!
