Chapter 71: Chapter 69: Tough warning
After a long silence, Beelzebub finally directed the flies again.
“Yes.”
This answer piqued my interest in Beelzebub even more.
I turned to Yang Jian and whispered, “It seems we need to rescue him as well.”
“No,” Beelzebub controlled the flies, “don’t… rescue… me.”
Beelzebub’s reaction surprised me. I asked in confusion, “Senior, do you want to stay in this wretched place?”
Beelzebub didn’t answer immediately. His expression was complicated. After a while, he moved the flies again: “Don’t… ask. Don’t… rescue.”
“Why?” I asked, frowning.
“You… can’t… afford… to.”
After “saying” this, Beelzebub sighed and let the flies scatter, covering the circular space and hiding himself.
“Senior!” Yang Jian shouted, knocking on the glass cabinet, “Senior, come out! My foster father and Rahab are here too. Can’t the three of you together defeat one demon lord?”
Yang Jian knocked for a while, but Beelzebub still didn’t respond.
“Forget it.” I grabbed Yang Jian’s shoulder and said, “He doesn’t want to leave. Even if we break the cabinet, he won’t come with us.”
Yang Jian looked at the thousands of flies, sighed, and turned to me with a helpless nod.
Samael’s strength was formidable. Even with Rahab and Cerberus fighting him together, they only had a fifty percent chance of winning. It was disappointing to miss the opportunity to increase our odds because Beelzebub was too afraid to leave.
“Big Brother, what should we do now?” Yan’er asked softly, holding my hand.
I looked at the box full of disgusting flies and said, “We’ll stick to the plan and take the ‘Ark’ and Satan’s remains.” But just as I finished speaking, a sudden “bang, bang” sound came from behind me.
I turned sharply and saw Rofocal kneeling on the ground, banging his head against the cabinet again.
“What are you banging for?” Yang Jian asked impatiently.
Hearing Yang Jian’s shout, Rofocal paused for a moment but then continued banging his head, faster and louder.
“He seems to be trying to tell us something,” I said, paying close attention to the sound, but I couldn’t discern any particular rhythm.
Yang Jian stared at Rofocal and suddenly shouted, “He’s warning others!”
“What do you mean?” I asked, frowning.
“Although I can’t understand the exact reason, the increasing volume of his banging suggests he’s alerting other Satan’s Cult members to our intrusion,” Yang Jian said, his eyes flashing with killing intent. “Musashi, kill him.”
Miyamoto Musashi responded with a deep voice, drew his long katana with a “zing,” and raised it high, ready to strike Rofocal.
“Stop!” Zicheng suddenly shouted.
Miyamoto Musashi’s sword strike was swift and fierce, but as a master swordsman, he had honed his skills for centuries. Upon hearing Zicheng’s shout, he managed to halt his blade mid-air.
However, the force of the sword was so strong that even though Musashi stopped it, the sword energy left a deep crack in the glass cabinet.
“Why did you stop me?” Miyamoto Musashi asked coldly, sheathing his sword and glaring at Zicheng.

Zicheng calmly met Musashi’s gaze and said, “Because he wasn’t alerting others; he was trying to stop us from moving Satan’s remains.”
I was about to ask how Zicheng knew this, but he pointed to the glass box full of flies.
Beelzebub’s gray, frightening face and fly-formed words reappeared.
“He advises you not to move Satan,” I read the words aloud and pondered their meaning. Then I asked, “If we take Satan’s remains, will it anger Samael?”
The flies regrouped to form a sentence: “And… the… Satan… Cult… leader.”
“Are Satan’s remains that important?” I asked. Beelzebub nodded in response.
“What will happen if we take them?” Yang Jian asked coldly, his mood sour from Beelzebub’s refusal to leave.
Beelzebub, sensing Yang Jian’s tone, responded with a faint, cold smile.
The flies flew out of Beelzebub’s nose and formed a single word in the empty space.
One simple, powerful word: “Death.”
“Wow, that’s a hefty price,” I said with a smile. “It seems we should stick to our original plan and only take the ‘Ark’.”
“No,” Beelzebub “said,” “you… will… be… killed… by… heavenly… lightning.”
I laughed, “Oh, Senior doesn’t know my identity yet.”
“You… are… Rahab’s… disciple?”
“I am Bi Yongnuo, his disciple. But at the same time,” I smiled at Beelzebub’s confused face, “I am also the reincarnation of Satan.”
The flies buzzed in agitation.
Beelzebub’s empty eyes widened as if trying to see the face of Satan’s reincarnation.
Suddenly.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Suddenly, a series of violent collisions came from the thick walls, shaking the entire secret chamber.
“What’s happening? An earthquake?” Yang Jian asked, his heroic brows furrowing in surprise.
Noticing his unusual expression, I was about to ask when I suddenly understood why Yang Jian was reacting strangely. There was demonic energy seeping into the chamber.
“There’s a fight going on next door,” Musashi said, placing his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready and alert.
Zicheng asked in confusion, “Why can demonic energy get in? Isn’t this chamber supposed to block it?”
“I initially thought the walls of this secret chamber were made of materials that block Devil eye, but it seems the reason I couldn’t see through the chamber is that there are no living beings inside,” Yang Jian observed, looking up. “Animals have an instinctive ability to sense danger, and Satan, even in death, emits the most dangerous scent in the world, keeping all living beings away. The demonic energy and Daji’s fox breath earlier came through the ventilation system.”
“The thousands of flies were covered by the black cloth, which is why Yang Jian’s Devil eye were deceived,” I added. Suddenly, I felt a cold sensation in my hand.
“Big Brother!” Yan’er looked at me worriedly, clearly concerned about Daji’s safety.
I squeezed her small hand, turned to Yang Jian, and said, “Brother Yang, use your ‘Clairvoyance Eye’ to see what’s happening next door.”
Yang Jian nodded, immediately raised his hand, closed his eyes, and activated the “Clairvoyance Eye” on his forehead.
The crimson “Clairvoyance Eye” moved incessantly.
Yang Jian let out an “Oh” and said anxiously, “My foster father and Rahab are next door! They’re fighting Samael! Daji is there too!”
“What’s going on? Didn’t they agree not to fight?” I asked, frowning.
“How should I know! There are others in the room too. One is wearing a black robe and a mask, probably the Satan’s Cult leader you mentioned,” Yang Jian said irritably. “It looks like both sides are evenly matched. Should we stick to the plan or go help them?”
“Stick to the plan. Now that they’re fighting, we can’t delay any longer,” I quickly ran through the details in my mind. “Forget about Satan’s remains for now; we’ll seize the opportunity to take them later. Let’s take the ‘Ark’ first.”
“But what about Mom?” Yan’er suddenly tightened her grip on my hand.
I patted her head and said gently, “Once we retrieve the ‘Ark,’ the Howling Sky Dog will alert Rahab and the others. Your mom is in the same room with them; they will take her with them.”
“Yongnuo,” Zicheng suddenly stared at the box containing Beelzebub and said, “I’m afraid we can’t even take the ‘Ark.'”
Feeling uneasy at Zicheng’s words, I followed his gaze and saw that Beelzebub had reassembled the flies into words.
“The one who brought the ‘Ark’ here was not the Satan’s Cult leader but Kong ming,” Beelzebub had regained his calm expression.
“Kong ming? How could he touch the ‘Ark’ without harm?” I muttered, then realized, “Of course, he has the artifact ‘Ink Veil’!”
‘Ink Veil’ can block any demonic energy emitted by covered objects, and the ‘Ark’s’ automatic defense system was installed by Satan himself, likely relying on demonic energy.
“Kong ming used ‘Ink Veil’ to wrap the two Kabbalistic rods that trigger heavenly lightning, allowing others to touch and move the ‘Ark,'” I said, rubbing my chin and frowning at Beelzebub. “But you mean to say that the ‘Ark’s’ lightning is so deadly that even the Satan’s Cult leader can’t escape it, right?”
Beelzebub: “Correct.”
“This is troublesome. Ah! Rahab is injured!” Yang Jian, still observing with the “Clairvoyance Eye,” exclaimed, “Kid, decide quickly. Do you still want to try taking the ‘Ark’?”
What a dilemma.
“Change of plans,” I said, not wanting to risk death so soon. “I’m not confident we can take the ‘Ark’ without harm. Since they’re already fighting, let’s assist them instead of reducing our combat strength.”
I glanced around, and no one seemed to object.
“Time is of the essence, no more talking,” Yang Jian pointed to the steel wall behind Satan’s remains. “This wall is about three meters thick, made of solid steel, very sturdy. But they don’t know we’re observing from next door. A surprise attack could be highly effective.”
“Brother Yang, can you describe their positions?” I asked.
“Behind this wall, there are four people. Three are standing close to us, side by side, with Daji in the middle and two Satan’s Cult members with weapons on either side,” Yang Jian said, his “Clairvoyance Eye” slightly open. “In front of them is the Satan’s Cult leader, and about a hundred meters away, Rahab and the others are fighting fiercely.”
I touched the cold, smooth wall and asked, “Musashi, can you cut through this wall?”
Musashi glanced at the wall and said, “Yes.”
“How long will it take?” I asked.
“From the moment my blade touches the wall to cutting an opening,” Musashi examined it carefully, “about 0.04 seconds.”
