Chapter 77: Chapter 75: Serial betrayal
“Rahab!” I cried out anxiously, trying to move forward, only to find my legs wouldn’t obey me!
It was then I realized that it wasn’t just me; everyone present had been rendered motionless by this unique demonic aura.
The figure before me, shrouded in absolute darkness, instilled an overwhelming sense of awe deep within my heart.
This feeling wasn’t mere fear; it made one want to kneel and worship him.
Because any creature, no matter how dulls its senses, would feel that the aura emanating from this person was entirely of darkness and death.
You would feel that death was no longer a distant experience because you could sense that with just a flick of his finger or a breath, he could drag you into the abyss of hell.
However, his aura wasn’t a warning but a blessing, as it also made you feel alive.
I had felt this unique evil before.
About half a year ago, on the day I accidentally killed my master, I had inadvertently released it from the deepest, deepest part of my being.
This was unique to the ‘King of Hell.’
Demonic aura.
The ‘darkened’ Satan’s Cult leader extended his pitch-black hand, grabbed Rahab by the collar, and forcibly pulled his upper body out, placing him in front of himself.
“Now do you know why I could defeat you?” The Satan’s Cult leader asked, looking at Rahab with a smile.
Rahab, his consciousness somewhat blurred, stared at him without speaking, while blood slowly flowed from the Satan’s Cult leader’s head, covering the ‘Bright Mirror,’ and seeping into his collar.
The blood-stained iron mask reflected Rahab’s conflicted face, but I saw a hint of joy in his eyes.
Joy?
Seeing Rahab’s silence and entranced gaze, the Satan’s Cult leader sneered and threw him to the ground.
In mid-air, Rahab used his demonic energy to repair his lower body, landing on the ground and kneeling before the Satan’s Cult leader!
Seeing this, my heart sank.
Could it be that the outcome was already decided?
The Satan’s Cult leader ignored Rahab, turning to the equally stunned Cerberus with a smile, “How does it feel? Surprised?”
“How is this possible… Are you really Satan?” Cerberus stammered in disbelief.
The Satan’s Cult leader laughed, “Of course. These long horns, this black skin, this aura—don’t they seem familiar?”
“Familiar… very familiar! But,” Cerberus muttered, “Satan has been dead for two thousand years, hasn’t he?”
I saw tears welling up in his six eyes, and his excited speech indicated that he missed Satan so much that he confused the two upon sensing the leader’s aura.
“I did die two thousand years ago, but my mission on earth was unfinished. I know you all missed me, so I came back!” The Satan’s Cult leader’s tone suddenly softened, “Cerberus, though I exist in a different form now, will you still serve me?”
Without hesitation, Cerberus knelt on one knee, supporting himself with his whip, and said in a booming voice, “Yes!”
Cerberus’s declaration extinguished my last hope.
Before we set out, Cerberus had said he would not recognize either me or the Satan’s Cult leader as the true Satan, as in his heart, only the Satan who died two thousand years ago was the true ‘King of Hell.’

But after the Satan’s Cult leader ‘darkened,’ Cerberus’s reaction was completely unexpected.
Rahab had already sided with the Satan’s Cult, and now even the Demon Slayer Association had become my enemy.
With sudden changes, I found myself alone.
Four Demon Lords, the Satan’s Cult leader, Miyamoto Musashi, Yang Jian, and Howling Sky Dog.
Could I, alone, fight against them all?
As my mind raced and emotions churned, I heard the Satan’s Cult leader say to Cerberus, “Three-headed dog, quickly stop Miyamoto Musashi. Samael is still an important subordinate and cannot die.”
“But Samael was the one who killed you back then,” Cerberus’s tone returned to its usual anger when talking about Samael.
The Satan’s Cult leader smiled, “Yes, he did kill me, but he has repented. And without his cloning research, I wouldn’t have been resurrected, right?”
Cerberus thought for a moment and found the reasoning sound. He then turned to Howling Sky Dog, “Little Howling, stop Musashi!”
Yang Jian, hearing Cerberus’s command, urgently said, “Foster father! Musashi is currently engaged with Samael. If Howling Sky Dog forcibly wakes them, both will be severely injured, and Musashi may never use his Devil eye again!”
Cerberus coldly glanced at Musashi, pondered for a moment, and said, “It doesn’t matter; they won’t die. Let him howl!”
Yang Jian, still feeling uneasy, tried to persuade, “But…”
“Enough nonsense!” Cerberus glared at Yang Jian and shouted.
Knowing he couldn’t persuade Cerberus, Yang Jian sighed and patted Howling Sky Dog Dog’s head, ” Little Howling, wake them up!”
Howling Sky Dog barked softly at Yang Jian and then howled at the sky!
Howling Sky Dog’s howl could momentarily disable Devil eyes. It had once dispelled the illusion I had cast on Yang Jian on the train.
As the howl echoed, Miyamoto Musashi and Samael suddenly spat out blood and collapsed to the ground, limp as boneless.
“Musashi!” Yang Jian rushed over to catch him, while Wukong ran to support Samael.
Seeing their pale faces and labored breathing, it seemed they had fainted from overstimulation.
The Satan’s Cult leader walked over, observed Samael for a moment, and, seeing no serious harm, breathed a sigh of relief.
After a while, the Satan’s Cult leader turned to Cerberus and said, “Three-headed dog, now I have a second task for you.”
“Please command!” Cerberus looked up respectfully at the Satan’s Cult leader.
Instead of issuing an immediate order, the Satan’s Cult leader smiled and then turned to look at me.
“Kill Yongnuo for me!”
I glared at the Satan’s Cult leader, seething with anger.
Seeing Cerberus and Rahab’s respectful demeanor towards the Satan’s Cult leader, I knew he would soon command them to eliminate me.
Although I couldn’t control Satan’s dark power, I was still a clone of Satan and posed a significant threat to his position.
Just as I expected Cerberus to attack immediately, he said, “No, I can’t kill him.”
The Satan’s Cult leader seemed somewhat angry and asked in a deep voice, “You defy my order?”
“No, because I made a blood pact with Yongnuo to retrieve the ‘Ark.’ Otherwise, I would suffer the punishment of extreme lightning,” Cerberus glanced at me, his eyes cold as if looking at a dead body. “So, under no circumstances can I harm him.”
Cerberus had been resolute before, but just a whiff of Satan’s aura had made him change his mind.
Thinking of this, I couldn’t help but smile bitterly.
“Ah, so you want the ‘Ark,'” the Satan’s Cult leader smiled at me and then turned back to Cerberus, “You go back and settle down first. I’ll contact you in a few days to explain everything.”
“Yes!” Cerberus nodded, checked Musashi’s injuries, and then led the Demon Slayer Association members out through the hole Musashi had created.
When Yang Jian jumped to the upper level, he looked back at me with eyes full of guilt.
After saluting the Satan’s Cult leader, Wukong also left with Samael.
In an instant, everyone was gone, leaving only four people in the field.
“Alright, how long are you going to kneel?” The Satan’s Cult leader glared at Rahab on the ground and said coldly.
“I don’t dare to get up,” Rahab said, still kneeling.
“Why?” The Satan’s Cult leader sneered.
“Because I have offended you,” Rahab replied softly.
The Satan’s Cult leader sneered again, “Do you acknowledge that I am the true reincarnation of Satan?”
“Yes.”
“In that case, you should know how to atone for your sins,” the Satan’s Cult leader said, looking at me with a malicious smile.
I shouted angrily, “Don’t push me too far! If you want to kill me, do it yourself!”
“No, I won’t do it myself. I love to see you burn with anger,” the Satan’s Cult leader suddenly pointed at me, laughing. “Yes, just like that! I want to see your helpless expression when you’re killed by your own companion!”
Hearing his words, I was so furious that I couldn’t speak, glaring at him.
Seeing my expression, the Satan’s Cult leader became even more pleased. After laughing for a while, he turned to Rahab and said, “Rahab, lift your head. Will you do it or not?
“I will,” Rahab said in a low voice.
That word, “will,” echoed endlessly in my ears.
I watched as Rahab slowly lifted his head, and my heart sank.
Just minutes ago, he was my mentor and friend. Now, for the sake of another ‘me,’ he was going to take my life.
There is nothing more ironic in the world than this.
The person who trained me to become a demon for four years now wants to kill me.
“Little Nuo,” Rahab said, his emotionless green cat eyes staring at me, “it’s time to end this.”
Though Rahab’s tone was as cold as ever, it sent chills down my spine.
Suddenly, a sense of isolation and helplessness welled up inside me.
Could Rahab really be so heartless?
“Sigh, you stupid cat. I really can’t understand what you’re thinking. If you doubt my abilities and even Kong ming said my chances of becoming Satan are slim, why do you still stick with me?” I sighed.
“Little Nuo, we have four years of camaraderie. I wouldn’t just leave you like that,” Rahab said with a sinister smile.
“Four years of camaraderie? You’re a demon that’s thousands of years old. How could you care about a mere four years? I don’t believe it,” I sneered.
For some reason, my nose felt a bit sour.
“Rahab,” I forced a smile, “you really are a demon that’s lived for thousands of years.”
“Don’t resist,” Rahab leaped onto the Satan’s Cult leader’s shoulder, looking at me. “I promise you a painless death.”
I sneered, “Don’t think I’ve trained for nothing these past four years! Every move and technique you and Master taught me, I remember clearly.”
“Then you should remember,” Rahab’s left cat eye suddenly turned blood-red, “as long as I use the ‘Heart-Piercing Eye,’ no matter how fast your demonic energy runs, it won’t save your life.
