Chapter 78: Chapter 76: Rahab transformed
I knew Rahab wasn’t lying. Once you made eye contact with his ‘Heart-Piercing Eye,’ everything you thought would be instantly transmitted to his mind.
Every move, every kill you planned, he would know it all.
“Rahab, have you thought it through? Do you really believe he is Satan?” I looked at him and sneered.
“Little Nuo, he can ‘darken’ without losing his mind. Isn’t that proof he’s the real Satan?” Rahab’s voice sounded a bit bitter. “Honestly, I’ve been feeling exhausted. Without Satan for these two thousand years, I’ve felt like a walking corpse. Now that he’s reappeared, I don’t want to fight anymore. Little Nuo, he became the real Satan before you, and there’s nothing I can do about it.”
“I understand. The winner takes it all; it’s an unchanging truth for millennia,” I sneered. “You’ve seen the rise and fall of many nations, so killing me won’t weigh on your mind!”
“No, you’re different,” Rahab said sincerely, then his voice turned cold again. “Little Nuo, do you want to ‘darken’?”
I sneered without answering.
Though I wanted to escape, I knew I was no match for Rahab in terms of speed, and he wouldn’t spare me out of old feelings.
So, the only way to turn the tide was to ‘darken’ like the Satan’s Cult leader.
Only by doing this could I survive.
“I don’t want to go to hell yet.”
I smiled bitterly, casting aside all emotions, and summoned my only companion, the “Eye of Illusions.”
“Don’t do it; you can’t control that power yet!” Rahab frowned.
“Hey, since you admire that aura so much, I’ll fight you in that form!” I forced a smile. “If he can transform, so can I. Don’t forget, I killed one of the Seven Lords after transforming!”
“That time you lost your mind, and I was the one who knocked you out,” Rahab said, his long tail rising. Demonic energy comparable to Samael’s erupted from his small body. “I’ll kill you before you fully transform to prevent you from destroying this place.”
“Then I’ll destroy everything here right now!” I shouted.
Instead of releasing the demonic energy, I gathered it into the “Eye of Illusions.” Once my demonic energy reached a certain level, I could trigger the absolute dark power of Satan in my blood.
I knew that once I awakened this power, I would lose my sanity and kill indiscriminately, friend or foe.
“Goodbye, Rahab,” I thought silently.
“Kid, goodbye,” Rahab’s voice suddenly appeared behind me!
Before I could react, a sharp pain shot through my neck, and I fell to the ground, powerless.
I knew Rahab had shattered my spine, rendering me immobile.
Ignoring the pain, I tried to push my demonic energy to its limit, but Rahab saw through my intentions. His tail flicked like a dragonfly, striking several acupoints on my body.
I glared at him in anger, but Rahab’s gaze was as cold as if looking at a stranger.
Each strike made my heart ache.
“Kid, give up. I’ve blocked your demonic energy routes. You can’t ‘darken’ no matter what!” I tried to use my energy to heal, but Rahab’s relentless strikes deepened my wounds, preventing recovery.
“Rahab, are you really going to take away my last chance?” I lay on the ground, looking at Rahab sitting on my chest.
“Yes, since you know you can’t win, why struggle?” Rahab said, lowering his head to look at me.
His tail swayed like a venomous snake, but the tip hovered over my Devil eye.

“Are you really going to kill me?” I sneered, showing no fear.
“Yes,” Rahab replied without hesitation.
“After I die, the Satan’s Cult leader won’t spare you either,” I scoffed.
Rahab looked up at the Satan’s Cult leader and said, “I’ve met countless people. Though he hates you, I know he needs me…”
Suddenly, Rahab’s pupils contracted as if seeing something strange.
Then he said something I never expected.
“No,”
Rahab stared at the Satan’s Cult leader in shock, “You’re not Satan!”
I was utterly shocked and tried to lift my head, but all I saw was the Satan’s Cult leader. Nothing else seemed out of the ordinary.
“Rahab, what nonsense are you spouting?” the Satan’s Cult leader frowned. “Stop dawdling and kill Yongnuo now!”
Rahab suddenly jumped off me, walked forward, and stared fiercely at the Satan’s Cult leader. “Who exactly are you?”
The Satan’s Cult leader sneered, “Has your brain gone bad? I am Satan, the ‘King of Hell,’ your master!”
“No, you’re not.”
Rahab’s demonic aura suddenly surged.
“The blood totem on your chest doesn’t say ‘666’!” Rahab roared at the Satan’s Cult leader, his demonic energy skyrocketing.
Earlier, in my attempt to escape the Satan’s Cult leader’s control, I had kicked him in the chest, causing a tear in his clothing.
Now that the Satan’s Cult leader had ‘darkened,’ the totem on his chest was visible through the tear. Though it looked similar to mine, the mark on his left shoulder was indeed different from mine!
“Who exactly are you?” I asked, looking at the Satan’s Cult leader.
Seeing a glimmer of hope at the edge of death, I couldn’t help but pay close attention.
If the Satan’s Cult leader wasn’t really Satan, Rahab would have no motive to kill me. Even if there was the slightest doubt, Rahab wouldn’t rashly kill me.
“No matter how many times you ask, my answer won’t change,” the Satan’s Cult leader, realizing his flaw had been exposed, quickly covered the tear with his hand and sneered.
“Why is your blood totem different from mine?” I tore off my shirt and stood up unsteadily.
The acupoints Rahab had injured earlier were bleeding profusely, so my upper body was covered in blood, revealing my totem.
Pointing at my chest, I forced a smile, “This is the Beast’s’ blood seal.'”
“Hey, don’t ask anymore, or I’ll take Rahab’s life as well,” the Satan’s Cult leader sneered.
“Take my life?” Rahab slowly approached the Satan’s Cult leader, his killing intent growing with each step.
By the time he stood before the Satan’s Cult leader, Rahab’s footprints were deeply embedded in the concrete.
“You impersonated Satan and toyed with me,” Rahab growled angrily. “The one who should die is you!”
The Satan’s Cult leader glared at him, showing no fear. “Are you serious about this?”
“Since you’re not Satan, I have nothing to worry about,” Rahab bared his sharp fangs, his killing intent palpable. “But rest assured, I won’t kill you until all doubts are cleared.”
“Hey, didn’t I just say,” the Satan’s Cult leader laughed, “that I alone am enough to deal with you?”
“Your strength has indeed increased after ‘darkening,’ but you’re still far from Samael’s level,” Rahab said, swaying his tail.
“Even if that’s true, it’s more than enough to take care of you,” the Satan’s Cult leader laughed.
“Yes,” Rahab glared at the Satan’s Cult leader, “but not the transformed me!”
With that, Rahab suddenly let out a long howl, and his body began to grow rapidly!
Rahab’s howl was neither like a lion nor a tiger, unlike the ear-piercing howl of Howling Sky Dog, but it was extremely grating to the ears.
With each increase in his size, Rahab’s howl became more and more indistinguishable in pitch, extremely piercing.
Rahab transformed from a small black cat into a large black tiger in an instant. At the same time, his face began to change dramatically, his black fur receding, his face elongating, and his features becoming more pronounced.
In a matter of moments, Rahab had transformed into a four-story tall, black-furred beast with a long-haired, terrifying human head!
That was the true form of the sphinx!
The sphinx, with a human head and lion’s body, was Rahab’s true form.
Due to the excessive size of his true body, Rahab had shrunk himself into a small cat after being banished to the mortal realm to prevent excessive consumption of demonic energy during activities.
Only in critical moments would Rahab release his suppressed demonic energy and revert to his giant beast form to exert his full power.
“I was too reckless earlier and almost killed you,” Rahab said with his piercing voice, his back turned to me. “But it will all be over soon.”
The Satan’s Cult leader seemed too shocked to speak upon seeing Rahab’s sphinx form.
Though Rahab’s transformed strength was still not on par with Samael or the real Satan, he had once subdued my ‘darkened’ self when I lost control in Egypt half a year ago.
While the Satan’s Cult leader’s power was higher than mine, Rahab should still be able to handle him.
With Samael unconscious, Rahab now had no rivals, and this battle should end soon.
Seeing his towering figure, I felt a slight relief as the previously dire situation suddenly turned in my favor.
“Kid, sorry about earlier,” Rahab suddenly said to me through telepathy, his back still turned.
I sensed a hint of apology in his words. Although he had tried to kill me earlier, I understood he had no choice.
I didn’t respond to Rahab, just wiped my nose with my hand.
“Are you still madding at me?” Rahab said in a peculiar tone.
I smirked slightly, a faint smile forming.
Although he had his back to me, Rahab’s keen hearing would surely catch my reaction.
“Hey, alright, we’ll talk about this later,” Rahab said with a smile. “You should step back. My attacks will be fierce, and I don’t want to accidentally hurt you.”
I obediently took a few steps back.
“Farther.”
Though I shouldn’t be within Rahab’s range from my current position, I followed his instructions and retreated further, stopping beside the fallen Yan’er.
“Alright, stay there and don’t move.”
I stood still immediately, but then Rahab’s strange voice suddenly changed to someone else’s!
“Hey, you fell for it.”
It was the Satan’s Cult leader!
Sensing danger, I tried to react, but a handsome face suddenly appeared before me.
“The battle is over,” Samael said coldly. “Sleep for a while, kid.”
With that, his hand flashed, and a sharp pain shot through the back of my head, as if my skull had shattered. Everything went black, and I passed out!
