Chapter 80: Chapter 78: Get out of stuck
Though I only used one lung, the burst of power propelled by demonic energy made the nail as powerful as a bullet.
The nail shot through the false wall, followed by a faint mechanical explosion and wisps of smoke, indicating the camera on the other side had turned into static.
Since the nail’s speed was too fast for the naked eye to detect, even if someone was closely monitoring me, they wouldn’t realize I had destroyed the camera.
I knew someone would soon come to investigate, so I quickly placed the other four nails in my mouth and looked up at the ceiling.
For the first time, I saw Yan’er behind the crisscrossed cover, her ten fingers gripping the densely perforated holes, looking at me with a worried expression.
A wave of emotion surged in my heart, but I knew now wasn’t the time for sentimentality. I opened my mouth to show her the silver nails.
Understanding my intention, Yan’er quickly moved aside.
Once her face disappeared into the darkness, I gathered my energy and spat the four nails in rapid succession, piercing the four corners of the ventilation cover.
Without the screws, the iron cover fell from above, but a shadow flashed, and Yan’er caught it mid-air, gently floating down.
“Big Brother! Are you alright?” Yan’er gently helped me up, her eyes brimming with tears.
I shook my head and pointed at the silver nail in my throat.
“You want me to pull it out?” Yan’er wiped her tears.
I nodded and pointed at the door, indicating we didn’t have much time.
Understanding, Yan’er didn’t say more and reached to pull out the nail from my throat.
Her strength was greater than mine, so she pulled it out in one go, but the pain still made me scream hoarsely.
Ignoring the pain, I immediately used demonic energy to cover the wound.
Once my voice returned, I asked Yan’er, “How did you find me?”
“Big Brother, did you forget?” Yan’er pointed at my hand. Looking down, I saw the black hair ring she had made on my middle finger and understood.
I nodded, but before I could speak, I heard hurried footsteps approaching from a distance.
Knowing it was someone from the Satan’s Cult coming to check the room, I told Yan’er to hide back in the ventilation duct with the iron cover. I kept the silver nails in my mouth and lay back on the ground, pretending to be unconscious.
Just as I finished preparing, there were several beeps outside the door, and then the iron door quickly rose.
The person who entered was clad in black armor, a member of the Killing God Squad.
After briefly examining me, he spoke into his helmet’s communicator, “Report, the prisoner seems to still be unconscious.”
The voice on the other end said, “Carefully check his body to prevent any sudden moves.”
The man acknowledged and used the muzzle of his rifle to lift my head. As he was about to examine further, I suddenly opened my eyes and shot the silver nail from my mouth into his unprotected throat!
The nail pierced his throat with a crisp sound, and he fell dead without a sound.
As he was about to hit the ground, Yan’er quickly jumped down from the ventilation duct, catching the body to prevent any noise.
I took his helmet and used voice mimicry to imitate his tone, speaking into the communicator, “Report, the prisoner shows no anomalies and is still unconscious.”
The voice on the other end said, “Check the camera for any issues and keep the line open.”

“Received,” I replied in a deep voice and then turned off the receiver.
“Big Brother, what do we do now?” Yan’er asked after placing the body aside.
“Come here and put this nail back in my throat, then help me remove the other nails,” I said, showing her the remaining silver nail in my hand.
“Big Brother, bear with it!” Yan’er understood I didn’t want my screams to alert others. Though reluctant, she took the nail and, gritting her teeth, thrust it into my throat!
The pain was worse than any weapon, making me cry tears, and the blood sprayed all over Yaner’s face.
Knowing the longer we took, the more dangerous it became, Yan’er didn’t wait for me to speak and began removing the other nails.
Yan’er pulled each nail out completely in one go, sparing me prolonged agony.
Though the pain made me want to scream, the demonic energy flowed smoothly again, and my body began to heal, regaining sensation.
I continued to cry and scream, but Yaner’s swift actions minimized my suffering.
Finally, only the nail in my throat remained.
“Big Brother, bear with it,” Yan’er said, gripping the nail with her five white fingers and pulling it out forcefully!
“Ah…!” I gritted my teeth until they bled, barely staying conscious.
The blood from the wound splattered all over Yaner, turning her red, and I was drenched in blood and sweat from the pain. But without the nails, I felt much lighter.
“Finally, all those annoying nails are out,” Yan’er said, wiping the sweat from her forehead with a sigh of relief.
I adjusted my breathing and circulated my demonic energy to heal my wounds quickly. I asked Yan’er, “How did you end up in the ventilation duct? Weren’t you imprisoned?”
Yan’er shook her head and said, “No, I was also imprisoned in an iron cell like this by those bad guys, but since I’m not a demon, they didn’t use silver nails. They just locked me up with iron handcuffs and shackles.”
“Then how did you escape?” I asked, puzzled.
Yan’er extended her left hand and smiled, “Big Brother, hold my hand.”
I wasn’t sure what this little girl was up to, but I still gripped her wrist tightly.
As soon as I grabbed her hand, Yan’er mischievously smiled, and her skin suddenly became extremely smooth, slipping out of my grasp in an instant!
“So that’s how you got rid of those shackles.” I recalled the first time we met, when I tried to catch her, and she used the same trick to escape.
Yan’er nodded and smiled, “This is the ‘Jade Skin Technique’ that my mom taught me. I’m naturally suited to practice this technique, even better than my mom!”
I thought for a moment and murmured, “Yan’er… your name comes from this, doesn’t it?”
Yan’er beamed, “Yes, it means ‘like a wisp of smoke, elusive and untouchable.'”
Author’s note: Yan’er means light as smoke.
I nodded and said, “Now’s not the time to talk about this. We need to leave here quickly.”
Yan’er then asked, “By the way, Big Brother, where are Rahab and Cerberus?”
I frowned and said that Cerberus and his foster sons weren’t here, and Rahab was likely imprisoned.
Yan’er knew it wasn’t the time for detailed explanations, so she said, “Hmm, I can smell where Mom and Brother Zicheng are, but I don’t know where Rahab is. Who should we rescue first?”
Yan’er looked at me with concern, clearly missing her mother.
I thought for a moment and said, “Let’s rescue your mom first.”
Since we couldn’t find Rahab first, we needed to find another strong ally. This way, if we encountered enemies, we’d have a better chance of escaping.
Yan’er immediately brightened up and said, “Great!”
I smiled, and seeing her smile reminded me of the woman who kissed me while I was unconscious. Could that woman have been Yan’er?
“By the way, Yan’er…” Just as I was about to ask her, I remembered she couldn’t even open the ventilation cover earlier, so it was unlikely she came through the main door. I stopped myself.
“What’s wrong?” Yan’er asked curiously.
“Um… by the way, do you know if the person we rescued in the secret chamber earlier was your mom?” I thought it might have been someone else or just my imagination, so I changed the subject.
“Yan’er knows! It was that stinky monkey pretending to be Mom to trick us!” Yan’er pouted angrily. “I stayed with him for a while and realized he didn’t have Mom’s scent after calming down. I wanted to tell Brother Zicheng, but the stinky monkey noticed first and knocked us out.”
“Hmm, I’ll make sure to teach that guy a lesson when I get the chance,” I said.
Seeing my clothes full of holes from the silver nails and barely covering me, I took them off and put on the armor from the corpse.
“You want to disguise yourself as them and sneak out?” Yan’er asked with a smile.
“Yes, I guess this floor is full of surveillance cameras. If we walk out recklessly, we’ll definitely attract their attention,” I said, tightening the belt. “My body hasn’t fully recovered yet, so I can’t fight head-on. The ventilation duct is too small for me to crawl through, so I’ll have to disguise myself as one of them and seize the opportunity to escape.”
“What about me?” Yan’er asked.
“You crawl back into the ventilation duct and follow my scent,” I said, putting the helmet on my head. Yan’er’s face was immediately covered in a shadow.
She pouted and said reluctantly, “Alright, I’ll crawl back then.”
I patted her head and then opened the receiver, using voice mimicry to say, “Report, the camera’s exterior is normal. It seems to be an internal malfunction.”
But after a long while, there was no response from the other side. I repeated the message several times, but the communicator remained silent.
Could something has happened?
I felt a bit puzzled.
I checked the communicator to make sure it wasn’t turned off and then walked out of the iron cell.
Outside was a long corridor with another iron cell every few meters.
I used my hearing to locate the hidden cameras in the corridor. Although they were all functioning normally, I didn’t feel like I was being watched.
“Could they be changing shifts? No, the Satan’s Cult wouldn’t make such a low-level mistake,” I thought, unable to figure it out but knowing this was a good chance to rescue others and escape.
