Chapter 84: Chapter 82:Encounter the overlord of Chu
Despite her delicate appearance, Hayashi Junko was as strong-willed as any man, driven by a desire for revenge for her husband. She braved great danger to infiltrate this place.
Although she didn’t elaborate on the process, entering the Satan’s Cult’s base and remaining undetected for so long, as well as rescuing Zicheng, was no easy feat for an ordinary person. Any mistake could have cost her life.
I turned to Zicheng and asked in Chinese, “Does she know you’re a demon?”
“No, I used the ‘Eye of Reminiscence’ secretly when she wasn’t paying attention,” Zicheng said. “I didn’t know the sphinx was Rahab until you told me, and I didn’t dare tell her.”
“She’s terrified of Rahab’s appearance, so it’s best not to tell her,” I said, recalling his hesitation when mentioning Rahab earlier. “By the way, how is Rahab now?”
“Not good,” Zicheng said seriously.
I gestured for him to continue, and he said, “Not only is he covered in nails like Daji, but his limbs have also been severed, and he’s hanging in mid-air.”
“Is that guy still not dead?” I sneered, feeling a pang in my heart. “Do you know the current situation of Samael and the Satan’s Cult leader?”
“I looked into the memory of the cult member that Junko killed. It seems the iron-masked man is indeed injured, but I’m not sure about Samael,” Zicheng said. “The base is still in chaos. There are only seven guards in this cell block. If we want to escape, now is a great opportunity.”
I nodded and asked, “Where is the smelly cat’s cell?” Despite my annoyance with him, rescuing him was the priority.
“It’s not far, but,” Zicheng said, suddenly frowning, “there’s a guard stationed in front of it.”
“Who is it?” I asked curiously.
“It’s a bearded man in black, holding a strange-looking spear, sitting beneath Rahab without moving,” Zicheng said.
“Hmm, I don’t know who he is, but,” I turned to look at the mother and daughter talking affectionately, “whoever it is shouldn’t be a problem.”
The prison was eerily quiet without guards. Following Zicheng, we encountered no one except for some prisoners crying out in despair.
After a short walk, we reached a large cell. Zicheng signaled for us to stop.
“This is it. I didn’t dare get too close to avoid being noticed by that man,” Zicheng whispered.
“If he only notices us now, he can’t be much of an expert,” I chuckled, telling him, “You, Yan’er, and Junko stay here and keep watch for us.” Zicheng nodded and led the two women to a darker corner to stand guard.
“Do you need me to act?” Daji asked with a smile, hearing that I intended to leave her behind.
“If I can handle the enemy alone, I wouldn’t dare trouble you, Senior,” I said, implying that I might need her help.
Although I didn’t know who the man in black was, no demon could be stronger than the Seven Lords. With Daji’s help, rescuing Rahab shouldn’t be a problem.
“I’ve been retired for a long time and have forgotten most of my skills,” Daji sighed softly. “If you can’t handle the opponent, how could I possibly help you?”
“You’re too modest, Senior. You were once a candidate for the Seven Lords. There are only a handful of demons stronger than you,” I said with a smile.
Daji shook her head with a bitter smile. “Let’s not dwell on the past. If I still had my old powers, Samael wouldn’t have captured me so easily.”
I didn’t know if Daji was being modest or truthful, but seeing her sorrowful expression, I didn’t press further and hoped she was just being humble.
After a brief preparation, we quietly approached the cell.
Daji’s thousands of years of cultivation weren’t in vain. She moved so silently that even standing next to her, I could barely hear her heartbeat.
I placed my hand on the cold keypad, recalling the password Zicheng had “seen,” and quickly entered it.
With a confirming “beep,” the iron gate rapidly rose.
Daji and I slipped into the room before it fully opened. Inside was a large cell, with a massive figure suspended in mid-air by thick iron chains, missing its limbs, and covered in silver nails, bleeding continuously—it was Rahab!

Beneath Rahab sat a bearded man in black, with a strange spear resting on his broad shoulders, sitting motionless like a mountain.
Besides being more rugged than Zicheng described, the man had two thick red lines running down his cheeks from his eyes, resembling blood tears—quite eerie.
As soon as Daji saw the man, she let out a sharp cry and lunged at him with her fingers spread like claws, moving as swiftly as a flying swallow!
Despite her fierce attack, the man remained still, his large eyes staring at Daji.
Initially, I thought the man was a novice who couldn’t react in time, but just as Daji’s hand was about to reach his head, a thick demonic energy burst from his body, and the red lines on his cheeks opened, revealing a pair of Devil eyes!
The man glanced at me with one of his Devil eyes, his body suddenly turning black, and then he mysteriously vanished!
Daji’s attack hit nothing but air, and she couldn’t stop in time, her fingers piercing the ground.
The man hadn’t moved quickly but had truly disappeared in an instant!
I was astonished and immediately thought he would ambush me next. Just as I was about to turn, a chill ran down my neck.
“Nine-tailed fox, it’s been a long time. Why attack me as soon as you arrive?”
A cold, desolate voice laughed behind me.
The man had somehow appeared behind me, his spear at my neck, preventing me from moving.
“I was just playing around, testing if the Chu Overlord still has his prowess,” Daji said softly, her tone coquettish, as she stood up and looked at the man seductively. “Please don’t be angry with me, Chu Overlord!”
As she spoke, Daji summoned the “Eye of Allure,” and a wave of seductive energy swept over us!
The seductive aura surged like an invisible tide. The man quickly channeled his energy to resist it, while coldly laughing, “Heh, how could Xiang Yu dare to get angry? Back during the Chu-Han contention, Lü Zhi taught me a lesson that I will never forget!”
“Chu Overlord,” I ignored the weapon at my neck and smiled, “since you and Daji are old acquaintances, this should be easier to discuss.”
Hearing Daji call the man Xiang Yu, I was initially surprised. But recalling historical records of him being born with “double pupils,” I immediately understood. What surprised me more was that Daji was once Lü Zhi, the wife of Liu Bang, the founding emperor of Han Dynasty.
“Haha, old acquaintances indeed!” Xiang Yu laughed heartily behind me and asked, “You must be Bi Yongnuo, right?”
“You know who I am?” I asked, puzzled. I noticed Xiang Yu’s heartbeat quickening and his breath becoming heavier, clearly aroused by the “Eye of Allure.” Strangely, I remained calm and unaffected, indicating that Daji’s mastery of her Devil eye had reached a level where she could tailor its effects to individuals.
“Yes, I’ve heard about you,” Xiang Yu said. “You came here to rescue Rahab, but unfortunately, I am tasked with guarding him and cannot shirk my duty.” With that, Xiang Yu suddenly removed the spear and released me.
I turned around, looking at him in confusion.
Xiang Yu rested the spear on his shoulder, his four eyes glaring at both Daji and me. “With Xiang Yu here, rescuing Rahab is a futile effort. You might as well give up and leave.
Before I could respond, Daji said coquettishly, “Chu Overlord, you love to joke. From the Chu-Han contention to competing for the Seven Lords’ position, you always gave me some leeway. Will you be so heartless this time?”
Xiang Yu snorted, “Nine-Tailed Fox, don’t flatter yourself. I indeed wasn’t as skilled as you before, but now both of you are severely weakened. Rescuing him is impossible!”
Daji sighed and said wistfully, “Does the Chu Overlord still hold a grudge over those trivial matters from thousands of years ago…” Before she could finish, she launched herself at Xiang Yu like an arrow!
Xiang Yu remained unhurried. After glancing at Daji with his lower right Devil eye, he suddenly closed it. As Daji was about to reach him, he reopened it and slightly shifted to the side, narrowly dodging her attack!
Given Daji’s abilities, even if Xiang Yu dodged with all his might, she should have been able to change her move midway and pursue him. Yet, Xiang Yu only moved slightly to avoid her. Moreover, Daji’s attack had multiple follow-ups moves, but she halted after the initial strike, standing still and pouting, “Chu Overlord, are you blinding me to take advantage of me? Hehe, you’re so naughty!”
As she spoke, Daji intensified the power of her “Eye of Allure,” increasing the seductive aura.
