Chapter 86: Chapter 84:Rahab left me a quote
“The ‘Seven Sins’ are Samael’s seven most powerful subordinates, each representing one of the seven deadly sins,” Xiang Yu explained. “Although their strength may not surpass yours, they are highly skilled at entangling their enemies. If they join forces, it will be very troublesome.”
“Are there currently ‘Three Sins’ in the base?” I recalled Hayashi Junko mentioning that three people had subdued Rahab after he injured Samael.
“Yes, the others are on their way,” Xiang Yu said. “Although I haven’t fought them, the fact that they are Samael’s direct subordinates is proof of their strength.”
After hearing Xiang Yu’s words, I thought for a moment and asked, “In your estimation, how long will it take for them to fully recover?” I knew Xiang Yu wouldn’t let Rahab go, and continuing to argue would only make it harder for us to escape.
“In my estimation, it will take at least two weeks,” Xiang Yu said, looking at me.
“Alright, in two weeks, I will return!” I said, looking at Rahab, whose face was covered in blood and eyes were tightly closed. He was severely injured, and I didn’t know when he would wake up.
Given the unfavorable situation, I needed to ensure my own survival and make plans for the future.
Now that I had clarified the Satan’s Cult leader’s identity, I knew he could control dark forces. But the blood totem on his body was different from mine and the Satan’s corpse, so I couldn’t be sure if he had become the ruler of Hell.
Kong Ming had instructed me to check my master’s corpse because he left something for me.
Perhaps this was my chance to turn the tide.
“Alright, I will leave,” I nodded. “But I have one more request.”
“What is it?” Xiang Yu frowned upon hearing my request.
“Can you remove the head from Rahab’s mouth for me?” I pointed at Rahab.
“The head in his mouth?” Xiang Yu tilted his head, looking at Rahab with one pair of eyes and glaring at me with his Devil eyes. “Bi Yongnuo, are you playing some trick?”
I didn’t answer, just stepped back a few steps.
Seeing this, Xiang Yu realized I had no ill intentions and leaped onto Rahab’s head.
Using the spear handle, Xiang Yu pried open Rahab’s mouth, and something fell out, rolling to my feet. It was indeed a wet, severed head.
“Thanks,” I said, picking up the head.
It was a man’s head, his face frozen in terror, likely one of the demon exterminators.
“You’ve been here long enough. Leave quickly before they find you,” Xiang Yu said, jumping back to the ground and sitting under Rahab again.
“Then I’ll leave Rahab in your care, Chu Overlord,” I said, wrapping the head in my coat.
After one last look at Rahab, I turned and left the cell with Daji.
“Mom, big brother, are you okay?” As soon as we stepped out, Yan’er ran over from a distance.
“We’re fine,” Daji said, gently stroking Yan’er’s head with a soft smile. Zicheng and Hayashi Junko also came over.
Seeing only the two of us, Zicheng was initially stunned, then asked, “Little Nuo, where’s Rahab?”
“We couldn’t save him,” I said. “We’ll talk about this later. We need to leave now.”
Seeing my serious expression, Zicheng didn’t ask further.
Since we were speaking in Chinese, Hayashi Junko didn’t understand. Noticing our tense expressions, she asked Zicheng.
Zicheng explained that we needed to leave the base. Although Hayashi Junko wanted to avenge her husband, she knew staying would be futile, so she reluctantly followed us.

We quickly left the prison and headed towards the base’s exit. Along the way, we encountered two Satan’s Cult members, but they were silently killed by either me or Daji.
Back on the surface, it was late at night. The surroundings were filled with endless trees. Without moonlight, the atmosphere was eerie and unsettling.
To avoid leaving footprints for the enemy to track, we used our agility to dash through the forest canopy. Fortunately, the night sky was covered with clouds, allowing us to leave under the cover of darkness.
Hayashi Junko, who couldn’t perform martial arts, was carried by Zicheng. She was stunned to see us leaping like apes and couldn’t speak for a long time.
Although I walked silently, my heart churned like the surrounding sea of trees.
It had only been two days since we attacked the base, but it felt like a long time.
If Rahab hadn’t injured Samael and the Satan’s Cult leader and killed all the cult members, we might not have made it back to the surface. But now, I had to leave him behind and escape.
For the past four years, I had always lived with Rahab, rarely acting separately. But now, I couldn’t be sure if I could return and rescue him.
My only hope lay in the relic my master left behind, as mentioned by Kong Ming.
But if such a relic existed, why hadn’t Rahab found it initially?
Moreover, Rahab and I had personally inspected his corpse and found nothing but a dagger.
Thinking of this, I couldn’t help but feel a tinge of helplessness and melancholy.
We continued running until we reached the nearest city from Aokigahara Forest, where we finally slowed down.
It was late at night, and the streets were deserted.
Although many inns still had their lights on, we chose a modest one to avoid suspicion. We then jumped directly into an unoccupied room from the ground.
“Who are you people? How… how do you have such incredible skills?” Hayashi Junko asked eagerly as soon as Zicheng set her down.
“Don’t be surprised. These are Chinese martial arts, similar to Japanese ninjutsu,” I said with a calm smile.
“Chinese martial arts?” Hayashi Junko frowned slightly.
Perhaps after witnessing Rahab’s terrifying appearance, Hayashi Junko found it easier to accept our extraordinary abilities.
I walked to the door connecting to the neighboring room and tried to open it, but it was locked. So, I applied a bit of force and broke the handle.
“Zicheng and I will sleep in the other room tonight,” I said as I entered the other room, which was identical to the first.
Although Hayashi Junko only knew Zicheng, it was more convenient for her to stay with Yan’er and Daji, so she had no objections.
After closing the door, Zicheng asked, “Little Nuo, who was the person guarding Rahab, and why couldn’t you take Rahab with you?”
“He is Xiang Yu, the Chu Overlord of Western Chu, and also the ‘Four-Eyed God’ of the Demon Slayer Association,” I said, pulling a chair over and sitting down. I then briefly recounted my conversation with Xiang Yu.
After listening, Zicheng asked, “Little Nuo, do you think you can rescue Rahab?”
“I don’t know. My only hope is that Kong Ming didn’t lie to me and that my master did leave something useful for me,” I said with a bitter smile.
“When will you leave for Egypt?” Zicheng asked, a hint of worry flashing in his eyes.
“Tomorrow,” I said. “I don’t have much time to waste. We’ll head to the airport first thing in the morning.”
Zicheng was silent for a moment, about to speak when I took out the head I had wrapped earlier and placed it in front of him. “Zicheng, check what Rahab said.”
Zicheng picked up the head and asked in confusion, “This is…”
“He was one of the demon exterminators who accompanied Junko into the base. Junko said Rahab spoke before eating him,” I explained, looking at the head. “Rahab must have left a message for us, and only your ‘Eye of Reminiscence’ can read the memories of the dead.” Rahab was never one to waste words. If he spoke to a dying man and deliberately kept his head, the message must be important.
Zicheng nodded and said, “I see. Rahab is indeed meticulous.”
With that, Zicheng channeled his demonic energy, awakening the “Eye of Reminiscence.” His left eye turned a vivid red as he stared into the dead demon exterminator’s eyes, extracting his final memory.
After a moment, Zicheng retrieved the message, but his next words surprised me.
“‘Little Nuo, I’m sorry.'”
Sorry.
That was the message Rahab had managed to leave for me.
Zicheng exhaled a breath of foul air, his eye returning to its normal color. He looked at me and said, “That’s all there is.”
“Heh, stupid cat,” I sneered, but my heart felt unexpectedly heavy.
“Little Nuo, I think Rahab didn’t truly want to betray you. It’s just…” Zicheng paused and said, “Sometimes, when you know there’s no hope, you have to give up.”
“Yeah, I understand.” I stood up and walked slowly to the balcony.
The sky was overcast, much like my mood.
I turned back to Zicheng and said, “Alright, get some rest. We need to leave early tomorrow.”
Zicheng didn’t move, standing there hesitantly, as if wanting to say something.
“What’s wrong?” I asked curiously.
“Little Nuo, I don’t want to kill anymore,” Zicheng said, not looking directly at me, forcing a bitter smile. “I’m very tired, both physically and mentally.”
“Little Nuo, I’m sorry,” Zicheng looked at me, his bloodshot eyes glistening with tears. “I want to quit. I don’t think I have the strength for revenge anymore.”
