Chapter 431: Her First Kill
The movement of the troops was visible in Asura’s eyes. He watched them silently, his magical sonar forming a beautiful grid that showed the enemy’s movements and positions in a turquoise shell that revealed the shape and length of the mining shaft.
‘This ability is more amazing than I thought.’ Asura closed his eyes, and the moment he did, the colour and sight vanished from his eyes. However, his sonar allowed him to see everything. No! Asura didn’t think sonar was the best name for this spell.
‘Magic sight? Mana Sight…’
He could see the entire area in a huge dome around him. The detail showed things in a simpler form but gave him all the details down to their magic aura and element. Asura could see all the twists and turns of the mine, the flowers and leaves in this world of cerulean-coloured grid dome.
“Rasha, I will not assist you. There are more than fifty enemies that I want you to take out.”
“Eh? Why do you want me to do that?” Her lovely eyes blinked while she leaned on a branch above him, gazing into the distance while peeking at Asura with his eyes closed and a slight breeze whirling around his body.
‘It’s not that I wish for her to kill others, or fight… However, those beside me cannot be weak.’
“If you wish to remain beside me, then you must be strong enough to fight and kill without becoming a burden to me. Do you understand, my lovely snow white spider?”
“…”
Lucia listened to his words and felt happy. She began to feel irritated that some of the women around him wouldn’t pull their weight. While she, Lorem and the ones with the highest combat power would be put in danger constantly.
Although she didn’t truly mind too much, she felt it unfair that they would just wait for him in safety and luxury and that it could be deadly should they be attacked when Asura wasn’t with them, meaning she and the ones that fight often would be blamed if anything negative happened.
“I understand…” Rasha wasn’t lazy, nor did she dislike the idea of fighting, but due to her upbringing, the only things she fought were monsters and simple creatures. Even during the journey here, she hadn’t killed any soldiers or humanoid monsters, instead trapping them and leaving the last parts to others.
“Don’t worry, if you are in danger I will protect you.”
Asura’s lips lifted into a warm smile. He felt happy that she didn’t complain because his magic sight allowed him to see her movements instantly, taking a stealthy and aggressive posture.
‘So she will hunt in her arachne form, interesting.’
Rasha’s body lowered, her black legs spreading out as she crawled amongst the trees, her spinnerets forming silk threads that constantly seemed ready to fire; her eyes narrowed as she watched the human knights walking around on their patrols.
‘She is more adorable than I thought. I need to look after her and make sure she gets enough experience and confidence.’
Asura closed his eyes, focusing on Rasha’s actions.
He understood her ability and how strong she was, but he didn’t know how much of that she could use when fighting others to the death. She could use all her strength when duelling or play-fighting Yufa or himself. Yet her mother, Shizuka, told him about Rasha’s inability to kill humanoids, which could be deadly.
“Lucia, I will focus on Rasha, so do not disturb me, is that okay? Should too many enemies approach her, kill them and leave a size that’s just a little too difficult for her to handle.” Asura turned his head towards Lucia, who had already spread into four shadows, hidden in his and Rasha’s shadow, each of them stronger than a Stage Seven warrior.
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“I will make sure to reward you later, my lovely shadow.”
“Mm.”
A soft and loving hum echoed from the ground, but her voice was so low that only Asura could hear it.
Asura’s vision remained focused, yet his mind was busy analysing everything he had learned while also pondering over the future. How could he protect this small forest from the vast armies of the empire? His fire magic was not useful, so he began to consider using the elements of his lovely wives, Xavida and Mu Xue. ‘Ice and Lighting will be my main elements during the upcoming battles… Although my sword is good, I need my troops to gain more skill and experience.’
Rasha finally began to make her move. First, she created small traps of webbing. Although they lacked any offensive ability, the sticky webbing would keep the knights busy for a few seconds trying to slash through it.
However, her second trap was far more dangerous. With a small needle-thin wire attached to a branch, the moment a human passed under her thread, the sudden pull would cause the knight’s flesh to be sliced open. If they didn’t focus on the limit, those tiny, invisible strings of thread would cut through you like cheese.
A group of four knights and an archer walked towards her trap while the small white spider was lurking above them, on the top of the tallest tree, using her body to spread her weight over a large circumference.
“Come, my beautiful Rasha. I am waiting for your first kill.”

“…”
“Haha, the stupid monsters, we are going to wipe them out thanks to their attack. The emperor was so furious after the death of his second son.”
“Be careful, if someone hears you speaking of his death…”
“Hmph! They are just filthy spiders and freaks. Who would Ack?! What is this fucking web? Get it off me!”
The arachne heard the voice of the knights speaking and felt her heart racing, the feeling of blood rushing, and her body getting heated.
‘My beautiful, sweet and intelligent Rasha, I will be here watching and protecting you, don’t worry, you can do this, my lovely spider.’
“Fuck, this stuff is sticky.”
“You are a knight, get it off with your sword, you idiot.”
“Ugh, you are right.”
The first knight pulled out his sword and slashed against the webs that were sticking to his armour, but the soft, slimy webbing just dulled his half-power swings, causing him to waste strength; the two other knights rushed forward to help. However… when the archer rushed forward, a soft, slick noise sounded before her head dropped to the ground, with blood oozing from a fine wire Rasha attached to the tree beneath her.
“Huh?” The other four knights were shocked. They could see her head and body fall apart, yet their senses were slow to react and couldn’t detect anything.
“Where are you?!”
“Show yourself, filthy monster!”
With the knights on guard, Rasha’s lips curled into a bloodthirsty smile, that lovey adorable face now with a twisted and distorted smile that made Asura’s body tingle with excitement. He watched as she descended behind the first knight. Her long black leg was like a deadly spear penetrating his head from the top down into his neck, the poor man’s eyes rolling back as she ripped out parts of his brain.
The three other knights were scared but didn’t panic as one of them saw her long, white hair and the movement of her limbs.
“It’s a monster. She is just a girl. A fucking spider! Kill her!”
The two men didn’t hesitate and charged at the small spider that was smaller than them.
“Swoosh.”
Two swords swung, the third running as he finally got free, rushing to get help. Rasha’s body jumped back onto a tree trunk, using two of her legs like swords, blocking the two attacks with a spark of light and a clang of metal. Rasha was a perfect predator. She just needed to awaken, now using her lower limbs to keep her balance.
“Don’t flee little humans~ I will dance with you all.” Rasha’s excited voice sounded eerie to the knights, yet Asura felt his two hearts racing.
‘She’s so cute.’
Her body twirled and leapt across the trees, using her legs like deadly instruments to kill the two knights, slicing and stabbing them with ease. Unknown to the knight, Rasha shot a ball of webbing that spread out and wrapped around the fleeing knight.
The poor male couldn’t even scream as he fell onto the sharp wire she set up before the battle, the wire slicing through the poor knight’s open mouth.
“Ah…”
Rasha’s eyes seemed to change, her smile a mixture of pleasure, arousal, and lust. She watched the dead bodies for a few seconds before running, her body moving faster while Asura focused on her.
‘Have I created a monster? She seems to really enjoy this….’
“Lucia, send all your clones to her and make sure nothing happens. Let her enjoy her first massacre.”
“Understood, Your Highness.”
Four shadows moved as the air around Asura’s feet turned dark, spreading into an enormous dome as her shadows merged and joined her.
“This feeling, it feels so good,” Rasha’s voice sounded excited, and Rasha felt a strange heat filling her, a warmth that made her stronger than Asura could sense.
“Good job, my sweet spider, I knew you could do it.”
“I can’t wait to kill more. There are so many delicious humans down there.”
She made traps and nets, yet Rasha’s favourite way to fight was using her extra legs as weapons, fighting them head-on, slipping past them and piercing their bodies.
Because Arachne were technically monsters as classified by the world, their way of improving was the same as all monsters.
Murder and time. Arachne didn’t need to train, only kill and wait.
Asura could see it, the moment her legs penetrated the human knights, it would vanish, absorbed into her body, giving her power.
“I will let you play for a bit longer, but I won’t allow you to die, my lovely spider. Do not let your guard down.” Asura spoke, but Rasha was too far away to hear him, her body dancing across the mine entrance, causing chaos. Her mind focused on killing the humans she had been afraid of her entire life.
