Chapter 433: The situation Back Home!
Meanwhile, back in the capital, Xavida and Mu Xue were busy dealing with their daily lives. Because her sister Mu Yue came to their mansion daily soon caused a slight issue.
Shang Luo began to try following them because everyone in the mansion knew about his desire to trick them and gain information about Asura and any weaknesses in the Silvara empire. They were all keeping a certain distance.
Yet he approached Cil Mavis, who was currently friends with Xavida and the princess.
At first, it wasn’t such a big deal, but Cil wasn’t used to such a passionate and intense pursuit and started to let down her guard until she realised what was going on after meeting Mu Yue.
However, this didn’t mean that she, a commoner, could ignore the emperor of another nation suddenly or take a negative attitude. The same goes for Mu Xue, who served Asura, and the women, who were his fiancée’s in name.
“With Verana going to the north to help her sister and mother in the defence of the north. We’ve lost most of the powerful people who would remain at the mansion to protect it.” Mu Xue muttered in the meeting room of Asura’s mansion.
To her right was Xavida, who seemed to have matured a little more since Asura left. Her hair grew longer, the silver and pink fluttering strands swaying at her hips. The woman herself was quietly eating a sour snack because of her strange hormones.
Unlike a human, dragons can choose when or how they lay their egg—once she laid it. It will hatch within three months. Thus, she stopped using the magic which kept the egg from developing too far, thanks to the princess, Lorem and other women who were expecting his child.
Once this process started, like a human woman, they would have odd bouts of strange cravings and emotional swings.
Most of all, the dragoness would reach full maturity, becoming a true adult dragon.
“It’s alright, even if I am going to lay these two eggs in four months to match you all. Then I can fight still. Don’t think I am weak, or useless Mu Xue.” Xavida’s soft lips curled into a gentle smile, although they used to fight like cats and dogs. They now fought with more grace and hid their hostility to avoid Asura noticing.
However, neither would harm the other physically outside of their intense training sessions together.
“No, Xavida we need those who aren’t expecting to fight. Could you imagine how upset he would become should an accident happen?” Vela added while drinking from her cup, her amber eyes scanning the room while she let out a sigh.
“It seems only Mu Yue, Amalia and the maids can fight without issues right now… Troublesome.” The princess continued while leaning back and wondering how long Asura would take.
“Do you think our beloved husband would be long?” Lorem sat on the single sofa, her eyes closed for a moment as she took a break from knitting.
Mu Xue grabbed the reports she received thanks to the Valkyrie that protected their mansion and frowned for a moment while looking at Amalia, who was not in charge of protecting their mansion and the women inside it.
“I don’t think he will be back for at least a month or two. It seems that something happened to Ignis and he ended up truly pissing off the empire….”
The others didn’t know what to say or do.
None had expected him to go to the border for that long—at first, they thought it was just a scouting mission. Nor did they understand why he would attack the empire, which held a considerable military might. The room became cold with their worries and thoughts as nobody spoke. Only the scratch of pens touching paper echoed.
“So we need to keep this place safe and protect it. We can’t be caught by surprise like before…” Xavida suddenly stated while pointing at the map and giving out orders, which were followed by the others.
She took the lead, and the others silently agreed. Though it was a little hard to believe this mature woman was the same Xavida as before, it seemed she struggled with the situation and was forced to adapt.
“True, let us focus on avoiding creating trouble, but if anyone approaches or causes trouble, there must be no mercy. I don’t want our lovely husband getting jealous.” Vela chuckled as they continued their meeting in the secret room.
Despite worrying about the future and what might happen while Asura was away, they seemed to have trusted each other a little more. Even if their minds were a mess because they wanted to see him, kiss him, and hold him.
“Then it’s settled we’re going to help my husband and build a supply route since he will be fighting for the next month or two. How about we draw lots on who gets to go see him?” Lorem cleared her throat before suggesting this idea.
Meanwhile, the other’s eyes began to flicker with competitive flames. As it was a while before they saw him, all the women were filled with a powerful desire to meet Asura again soon.

Not long after the women of Asura began their plans, Verana and Verena finally came face to face. The two sisters were beautiful, one with dark red hair because of her usage of their Drakkur vampire bloodline. Verena no longer held a doubtful title or origin after fighting several skirmishes with the North and helping the people who were suffering. She began to grow in popularity.
Meanwhile, Verana, who returned to the north, stopped using her vampire abilities with her hair turning jet black, though she never expected to see this look on her sister.
A warm smile and Verene’s eyes slightly narrowed while waiting at the small airship port; her attendants and knights all seemed to be quite satisfied, too. The entire situation confused Verana and Valerie. They could not understand why their sister was so happy or why nobody seemed on guard compared to the past.
“Sister, it’s been a long time. You’ve changed… I don’t even recognise you anymore.” Verena whispered while offering her hand to her sister as she climbed from the airship.
“The shocked one is me, Verena you seem completely different than what I remembered.”

“Ah~ back then, I was such a stupid fool that didn’t deserve anything. I can’t believe I doubted my Mother. What kind of daughter would do that?” Verena giggled to herself, not bothering to lower her voice, as everyone could hear her.
“Sister, how is the fleet?” Verana asked; she realised that although her hatred for Verena hadn’t vanished, there was a significant change in the person before her, and thus, she would give her a chance and time to prove herself.
“We’ve lost two ships in the past few weeks. The enemy seems to enjoy sending dreadnoughts and dangerous warships when the night falls, though many times it leads to them losing a ship or two rather than us. Honestly It feels like they are just trying to distract us from the east.”
Verana nodded and looked at the documents her sister took from a small bag at her waist and began to read to details.
Not only did her sister begin to work hard, but she always kept notes on what she did as the acting duchess. The most amazing thing was the accuracy and depth she went to. It even made Verana feel jealous of her sister’s hidden talents.
“I see… good work Verena, you really worked hard this time. I am proud as a sister.”
“Eh?”
Verena watched her sister pass by with a stunned face, her mouth open and eyes wide—never did she expect her hateful sister to give such an honest compliment that made her feel a little happy. “Ah~ wait, Verana! What about mother?”
“Mother… Well she should be coming soon, that woman managed to get pregnant with twins… so how about you look after her? She seems to be deciding to relax in the depths and leave all the politics and duchy choices to both of us.”
Verena was stunned as she didn’t expect their mother could have children, but her attitude towards her caused her to keep this information to herself.
“Well, I suppose I can’t complain. After all, I did try to kill her beloved last time.” Verena thought.
“I am sure it should be fine. Besides, isn’t it time you let go of the past? I don’t mind giving you the duchy, especially if you continue to work hard.”
“Wait, Verana, are you being serious about giving me the Duchy?”
The main cause of the two sisters having such a bad relationship was over the title and successor. It felt strange to Verena that her sister would give it up for anything.
However, then she remembered the man that her sister was going to marry and realised how dull her life might have been.
“Well, it’s not like I am going to disappear or leave the north, Verena. I am going to stay in the capital to support our nation, the future king and my husband. So why can’t I give you the position you deserve for your efforts and actions since the death of father?”
“Fufu~ you’d really changed sister, but I am proud of you and wish you luck.”
With the main issue dealt with, the two sisters left the port because their mother would take hours, and neither of them had the stamina to endure shopping for a single dress with her.
