Chapter 458: A Silent World of Death and Regret
On the day the bomb exploded, the world became silent in mourning. Though they might have been the enemy, no nation or kingdom would desire this horrific event on the people living in peace.
However, Asura accepted that burden and carried the sin of this cross. To save Arachneas and the many people he loved and cared for who were currently located there, he didn’t have a choice, nor would he blame himself.
‘Well, the world might call me the worst demon in future history books.’
“Asura?” A gentle voice came from beside him. Today Helliana and Lorem were spending time together with Asura to make sure he didn’t get upset.
“It’s fine, Helia, the choice was right.” Asura’s low voice echoed as he leaned back against the two women carrying his children.
He stood to lose far too much if he did nothing: Ignis, Lorem, Rasha, Shizuka, Amalia, Helia, Lorem and Lucia. So many women who were important to him, and that was before thinking about Danos, Vergil, Belial and Alexander.
‘Manfried and Louis are a little annoying, so they didn’t weigh on my mind that much.’
Asura might be thinking of these thoughts as a joke, but he never meant it. Even though his heart was solid, the memory of his father’s kingdom being destroyed by a similar weapon could never be wiped from his heart.
Thus, he felt a sense of pain because of that comparison. Asura wasn’t a murder hobo, though he loved combat and fighting strong opponents.
The one-sided massacre wasn’t his thing.
“Ah, my lovely Asura, come to mother.” Lorem started to change after she became pregnant. Not only did her body become softer after she stopped training as much, but her breasts began to swell and obviously produced sweet milk from her bosom.
Different from human females that produced rather horrible-tasting milk when drank by adults, the milk of divine beasts was like an elixir, improving health, muscles and bones to strengthen the young who drank it, but the effect also did wonders for adults.
Because of these changes, Lorem became more mature and acted like a mother rather than the previous big sister; he learned that most of her room apparatus was remodelled and changed to make room for children and babies.
Helliana’s body was slower to develop than Lorem’s because she was months later than her rival. However, the sweet nectar already started production in her swollen chest, too. “Why do you act so differently now?” Asura asked as Lorem hugged his back gently, stroking his hair with a loving gaze.
“I don’t know, maybe it’s instinct or something? I don’t dislike acting like this, though. In fact, I quite like it.” Lorem smiled and leaned down to kiss his forehead. She noticed how soft his hair felt to the touch, so she enjoyed stroking it while looking at him. “I know that there will be at least two, maybe three, though.”
Helliana’s ears twitched as she looked at them with a jealous gaze. “I can’t wait for our children to be born already. Why is it that your body develops so fast, Lorem?” Her face showed a hint of displeasure at her rival.
“Haha~ because darling loved me more and poured his seed over my eggs faster!”
“Tsk! So crude.” Helliana turned away with a pout. Her body still kept its tight shape, but like Lorem, she already understood there were three fertilised eggs inside her. So she would rapidly change to suit their health to lay them in the future. “My stomach will grow soon and make me look like a cow.”
She sighed as Asura moved his body and wrapped both arms around the two women. “I am looking forward to the future, so don’t be too upset, Lorem, Helia.” The two women immediately leaned into him as he stroked their heads. “You are going to look beautiful either way.”
“Hmm~ you’re right,” Lorem spoke for the two of them, nuzzling her cheek into his shoulder with a satisfied grin. “Just look at how handsome my children will be if they have your features.”
Helliana didn’t want to lose, so she started to rub her cheek against Asura’s left side. “Hmph! Well… I am sure with a beautiful dad, they will be cute.”
Thanks to their comfort he could forget the guilt that started to grow in his chest when he thought of the past. However, the truth was he desired to at least try to help any refugees that might come to the forest and had already sent a letter to the mansion and queen requesting relief supplies.
He knew that Princess Vela would provide what he needed, though she might make a small profit from it. He wouldn’t blame her, though, considering the costs of such large shipments of food, clothes and shelter. Not to mention, the empire was their enemy as long as the people didn’t suffer. He would accept anything his first wife did.
Asura knew that the people of this world were far more resilient than the ones in his first world, but somehow, it felt like things were slipping on a slope towards another catastrophic war, unlike in the past where everyone unified to fight the Abyss who invaded… This world was shattered and fractured in all corners of the globe.
‘I want to see Vela, Xue’er and Xavida… Then I have to visit Drakkur to see my Verana and Valerie.’
Vergil and Danos would soon leave the forest, so he planned to have them disguise themselves and head to the empire’s capital and travel to the west to gain information and set up a small base there.
Although it might be easy to fight head-on with the full force of Silvara, after the bombing, Asura thought taking the emperor down and finding a new leader might be better.
‘I should speak with Feng He Ran about this. Should I get Mu Xue and Mu Yue to come to the east?’ Asura thought to himself while stroking the silky hair red hair of Lorem, and the midnight black hair of Helliana. ‘But even then… How many people will die in the process?’
“Asura, don’t think about such complicated things. Enjoy the feeling of my breasts on your arm~ fufu.” Helia hugged him tightly, rubbing her head on his cheek while kissing it gently. “You might be powerful, but you are not omnipotent. Take some time to rest. I can see how tired you are.”

He knew she was right. Asura had been busy day and night helping Rasha, Ignis and Lucia to heal the wounded and create a place for the refugees who would come to them. The city was being expanded quickly with the help of the forest spirits and the many beastmen who accepted to live inside.
“Well, if you can’t stop thinking, do I have to make you stop?” Lorem’s rough, sensual voice sounded in his ear as her hand slipped along his inner thigh and grasped his crotch. “You won’t be thinking about other people when I’m riding you like a horse, right? Haha.”
Asura knew she was just joking to take his mind off things, but her hand felt so warm and pleasant to the touch. So, as he turned to look at Lorem, he suddenly kissed her lips and pulled her into his arms.
“Hah!” She let out a surprised gasp and turned bright red as he lifted her onto his lap with a smile.
“I guess you’ll have to mount me and see, Lorem.”
“I-I was only joking!”
“Who said I was?”
He started to unbuckle his belt and undressed as he looked at her. However, Asura enjoyed the company of other women.
He was feeling lonely as time passed by without seeing Xavida, Vela, Verana and Mu Xue because he was becoming more horny than usual, and the women in Arachneas were struggling to survive and keep up.
“Fufu~ shall I help you, sister?” Helliana giggled, with her hand clasping Asura’s cheeks and kissing him with a peck, “I think we can both take him down, right?” Then she continued, her long tongue stopping him from speaking as she forced it down his throat.
“Nnghh~” Asura could only groan as the two women’s eyes seemed to shine in delight, like predators, as they began to devour the innocent prey.

Meanwhile, near the Silvaran border, Shang Luo and the merchant group he signed a contract with were almost through the border, having travelled through the Phoenix Glade.
They now mixed with the replenishment group with merchants and knights ready to support the small city being created near the former forest.
‘I cannot believe these Silvaran bastards are taking advantage of the disaster to invade the empire!’ Shang Luo thought, his face transformed into a disguise while filled with anger. ‘If I knew this would happen, I would have never taken such a contract.’
His heart was filled with rage. The man, who claimed to want to help him, delayed their journey until after his brother died, and then hearing the empire lost a great battle only two days ago, before the huge light almost caused him to lose his sight, made Shang Luo desperate to return home.
He didn’t even realise that Mu Yue was back in the mansion with her sister and still had all the important documents he brought from the empire with him.
“Sir, we are nearly at the border—do you have everything prepared?” The leader of the merchant group asked, his eyes sharp as he looked at the small bag hanging from the man’s side. He was clearly a merchant rather than a soldier, but he was dressed in armour and had a sword on his waist.
‘Is this a member of that strange cult?’ He remembered the masked people who appeared with knights and strange mages able to contend with even the empire’s strength. ‘Cult of the fallen sun, are they trying to do something….?’
“Yes, I am ready.” Shang Luo answered the man.
The leader nodded. “Good! We will need to hand over the goods to the soldiers. Then we can go inside and find a place to rest for the night before continuing.”
Shang Luo didn’t know how they hid the weapons and magic items they brought, but to the surface, they seemed to be a merchant group only trading food supplies, healing items and some fur and linen to help the people build emergency homes and shelter.
‘Can I really trust them with my homeland?’
He began to worry that maybe even trusting the princess of Silvara might have been a more logical choice in the long run. However, he had already broken that chance, and his heart felt heavy, knowing that Shang Luo couldn’t avoid the future conflict anymore.
The masked merchants he met first seemed to have vanished, which caused him to worry the most. He constantly tried to identify the accents and find the voice and face of Ace.
‘If I can find that man, then I can help my father!’
