Chapter 476: The Manifestation of Ones Self
—Manifestation Asura
The sky trembled for a brief moment, a silver light flooding the city like a river of mercury. In the distance, a beautiful woman turned to face the empire, her lips curling into a radian smile as she felt the strange power and existence.
‘You finally used my power, my lovely child~ Mother can feel how far you’ve come, and I cannot wait to see you again.’
“What did you do?!” The old butler across from Asura cried out—the immense aura coming from Asura’s body wasn’t just magic but also his physique. A bloodline that was focused on forcing the weak human body to surpass all limits. Each cell became more powerful than it ever could by forcing it through a great trial.
If someone were to look at the young man from the side of space and time, they would see something new. There he stood, an enigma in the void.
Asura’s long black hair grew to the base of his spine, the fluttering black strands now like tendrils of pure void energy, his eyes black with small silver pupils shaped like a slit. His skin turned dark grey but became stronger and more durable as it rapidly absorbed the magic lingering in the air.
Unlike his phoenix, dragon or demon bloodlines, this manifestation was serene. His figure stood like a black rose within a storm’s eye.
Spectral, illusory, and light as a feather. The dark colour formed a robe of void that shone with purity.
Yet he remained anchored by the solid weight of his aura, giving off a sense of true divinity.
The moment Asura heard the demon hunter’s words insulting Mu Xue and his unborn children. He lost control of rational thought. Yet because of this, he made the most rational choice by choosing to manifest a bloodline he hadn’t touched before.
A bloodline given to him from his current life, the Asura bloodline a bloodline born from a human reaching their limits and becoming the spouse of a god.
The bloodline of his mother, Freyja.
If he had unleashed another, then his form would have become an enormous beast and summoned more of the hidden cards of the emperor. With this form, he could easily fight as what seemed to be a normal warrior.
“Nothing,” Asura responded, a beautiful voice lacking his usual intense emotions, like a god speaking to an ant. His voice was calm, indifferent, yet wise.
“That’s impossible! How can your power be this strong inside the barrier!” The man shouted again as his wrinkles grew deeper.
“Enough.”
Asura didn’t continue the conversation.
The moment his words reached the demon hunter, so did a fist filled with such force it caused the butler’s legs to buckle. He tried to resist, but he only moved backwards a single step before the fist collided with his face.
His nose bent and cracked; he could feel the bone fragments enter his brain. Blood splattered out across the room and into a painting on the wall beside him.
He tried to say something but vomited out a pool of dark red blood while his body flung away with force, yet the moment before he smashed into the wall, Asura’s grey and black figure appeared like he teleported, his left leg like a deadly whip snapping out into the air.
Asura’s leg smashed into his torso and broke all the bones in his chest before launching him across the other side of the area, breaking another wall and crushing it into dust as his limp body landed on a table with a vase made of white ceramic that shattered as soon as it touched the floor.
“This body feels amazing.” A smile came to the lips of Asura. His emotionless face smiling looked both beautiful and horrific as the demon hunter quivered, trying to stand with his broken body.
“Y….you…..Wha…t…”
“I don’t think you need an answer,” Asura spoke softly once again as he walked towards the man.
“H…el….p..”
Once again, the movement, like a phantom Asura, ignored the laws of the world and travelled several hundred metres to appear beside the bloody butler. Without saying a word, his finger jabbed forward into the stomach and caused even more blood to leak from the mouth as a faint silver light entered the man’s chest.
After a pause, Asura put his hand on his chest and seemed to take a breath, pulling a mass of energy out from within him.
Suddenly, the old man screamed in pain. He couldn’t move or heal himself. All he could do was endure.
“AHGG!!”
Inch by inch, Asura removed something from his body and became surprised as the mass formed into Animus, which flowed into Asura’s body like a stream of pure power. With each strand of power absorbed, his hair grew longer and brighter; his eyes shone while devouring the man’s gigantic amount of energy.

In just a moment, his core became saturated with pure Animus that swirled around each other, pushing against one another in harmony.
Like water in a bottle, the energy levels reached the top and poured into his body, causing him to feel his body surpassing the previous state, a level beyond his current Stage Ten body. It was beyond the limits of the current world as the sky turned silver with purple lightning striking down at the capital.
“I seem to have reached Stage Nine… My magic feels different, as if on the cusp of transforming into something new.”
“M….monster….” The butler was on the brink of death, someone who almost reached the pinnacle of this world, his two thousand years of training and evil deeds brought to nothing by a child.
‘I refuse…. although I will die… then I shall summon that monster to destroy this world!’
*Crack*
With a snap of Asura’s fingers, the old man lost all resistance. In fear, he stared at Asura’s beautiful and indifferent figure before slowly breathing his last breath.
*Boom*
A black ray of light shot forth from the man’s right hand, piercing through the shoulder of Asura, the black light piercing the silver clouds, forcing them to part.
“Ugh… What the?!”
With no way to stop it, the powerful energy burst into the sky, destroying the clouds above and cracking open the barrier.
The dark force continued without end. An enormous gate appeared in the sky—it’s eerie look like something from the abyss. There were thousands of creatures hammering the gate that began to break as the ancient seal within the barrier above shattered.
“What did you do?” Asura gazed at the gate. He recognised what it was and felt a sense of dread.
It wasn’t over.
That was the gate to one of the many Abyss Dimensions.
Asura was only the king of the 72nd Dimension. The weakest abyssal monsters in that dimension could reach Stage Ten at most—they could not break the transcendent limit.
However, that was not true for every dimension below his… and the energy from this gate made him feel tingles on his skin despite being in his manifestation form.
‘Mu Xue, Mu Yue, Lucia… They are in danger here, although the gate will be sealed again in time. They won’t survive, nor can they escape…’
It was a moment of choice for Asura to attack the gate before it opened. To fight that legion of demons and protect the empire, or use them for his goal to destroy the empire and put his beloved women at risk.
There was no actual choice here…
“I have to go.”

Meanwhile, the beautiful woman with long silver hair watched in silence. She could see the gate forming and shook her head with annoyance. “Those filthy abysses are going to cause trouble, though the gate will be closed in time… If it affects my darling’s growth, I will lose everything.”
Freyja’s eyes narrowed, and a silver light filled with divine power flickered, causing the very air around her to tremble.
However, she saw Asura’s body, and with beautiful silver wings of light, he flew towards the gate.
“Hmmm? Are you going to fight… Ah~ I see. Your women are below. Then… Since you want to fight, I will even the playing field.”
Her delicate hand pointed towards the gateway, the divine barrier about to crack. She then gathered silver energy in her palm, forming a small growing ball.
“Then, survive for an hour. Keep them out for an hour, and I will seal the gate for you. Show me your determination to fight. Will you die and lose everything, or win and shatter even my expectations?”
Freyja’s silver ball crackled and flickered before transforming into a beam of light that started creating a cage, a cage that would reseal the abyssal gateway.
‘Though can you really survive? My eyes only foretell failure and your death…’
Despite this, she could do nothing but watch because it would take her the full hour to form the divine cage.
Her heart began to palpitate and throb in reality. Freyja didn’t know if he would survive and couldn’t understand her actions of taking this risk with the boy she had spent thousands of years prophesying and creating.
