Chapter 488: Visiting The Orcs!
Asura felt a little worried about Celine because of their child, although his other wives were divine beasts or special existences. She was a normal elven princess. Thus, he would visit the orc leaders with Spica instead.
“Are you sure you wish to go without me, darling?” Mu Xue hugged his back while Lucia hugged him inside his shadow. The pair were quite affectionate towards him. However, he didn’t mind, and this was how they were.
“I want you to rest, my dear.” He saw each day how Mu Xue lost strength. When her magic and aura started fluctuating and focusing on her abdomen as if to protect her womb and unborn children, it made him feel worried.
“I will keep our beloved safe, XuXu!” Lucia’s voice echoed from Mu Xue’s shadow, hugging the lovely ice devil.
Mu Yue watched with a jealous gaze, her strange feelings towards the man who kissed her constantly churning and growing over the time she knew him. Yet her beloved sister also looked so happy when together with him.
Féng He Ran watched curiously from the doorway after spending so much time with the resistance. She began to miss spending time with Asura and his women because they felt more honest, and there wasn’t any political drama or need to curry favour.
‘The resistance still treats me like their tool to fight… even now after everything collapsed and he saved us all. They haven’t thanked him once!’
“Are you alright, Hera?” Asura looked at the doorway, seeing the blonde firebird looking downcast.
He knew what she was going through. The elven maids told Celine and Spica everything that happened. So he knew about it, how Mu Cheng was trying to pressure her to convince Asura to help them again and take them back to the emerald dream.
“Yeah…”
Asura didn’t think leaving her in this state was good. He looked at Celine, Mu Xue, Mu Yue and Spica and gave a soft smile. “Do you want to come with me and Spica to the orc village?”
“Eh?” Her face showed surprise, her eyes looking at Asura’s smiling visage and Spica, who waved at her from near the opposite door.
“It’s alright.” Asura stretched out his hand to the shy girl who fused with the firebird. After a few seconds, she walked up and took it. And as soon as she did so, she felt elated, a warmth spreading through her body as she clutched his hand.
Mu Xue could only giggle at the sight. “Thank you, Miss He Ran. Can you take care of my husband?”
“I’ll be alright,” Asura responded while kissing her forehead. Mu Xue kissed him on the lips softly, almost letting go of herself when he rubbed her cute smooth cheeks, poking her dimples. She blushed heavily when she remembered she wasn’t alone and pulled away quickly.
“Then… you should go and come back soon. I will keep Sister Celine company, okay?”
“Don’t do anything bad behind our backs, XuXu.” Lucia teased the lovely ice devil before pulling away from her. When Lucia went into Asura’s shadow. In reality, she kept a shadow in both Celine and Mu Xue’s bodies just to keep them safe; limiting the number to two shadows meant she carried the strength of a Stage 8 warrior.
Asura put an arm around Féng He Ran and Spica’s waist and escorted them out of the door while black wings of pure magic began to form from his back. The wings formed a beautiful shape, resembling an angel.
Both of them were surprised when Asura floated up using the new wings, bringing them alongside him until they were high up enough for him to flap his large black-feathered wings of energy. His strength increased the more he cultivated the strange vitality given from the world tree inside his spirit.
‘It’s thanks to Noir… the tree is doing well because of her.’
[Hehe~ Dad, one day you’ll be so strong, I will make sure of it!]
Despite knowing she was happy, he felt that only because of his failure did she end up becoming the nymph and dryad bound to his world tree; at least this way, he couldn’t forget her like last time. She wouldn’t die or fade away while her bond to the world tree existed. No, she would only grow stronger and stronger.
‘We shall all become strong together…’ He swore in his heart with each beat of his wings. “Let’s go…”
With Hera and Spica in his arms, Asura left the elven citadel and beautiful forest; thanks to the prince making trouble, their delegation left earlier and would be waiting for him near the border.
Thankfully, Spica knew the orcish manners and hospitality well. Though Asura knew Grom’s clan and tribe, he didn’t want to presume they were all the same and thus would try to keep his mouth closed until knowing for sure.
After an hour of flying, Asura landed atop the mountain near the area where he saw a large camp hidden in the lower forests; it wasn’t grand like the elven forest, but thanks to the world tree Milas Turim. All trees on this island were larger, more bountiful and lived longer.
‘I’m sure that the Dryads live among these woods in their communities; perhaps I should visit them someday?’ He thought while holding Hera and Spica close to him. His long wings of pure magic made of shadowy feathers retracted slowly. Their bodies glided down towards the huge wooden gateposts of the orc’s home.
“Elves come to the village?” One of the orc guards spoke with surprise.
“Elf male?! Elf female… no… strange scent?” The guards looked at Spica for some strange reason, with one of them rushing off in a hurry. Asura knew that there might be someone else coming soon, which he could sense.

“Well… this is certainly new; why did such a high-ranking guy appear?” Asura could tell the orc that suddenly came to the gate with over fifty warriors was a general due to his body tattoos and the markings on his face. This was like the Grom tribe, but the shapes and animal themes were different.
“Greetings, High-sister!” The voices of the orcs sounded before all of them knelt, even the general!
However, the person they knelt to was Spica, not Hera or Asura.
“H-High Sister?” Hera asked aloud, curious. Meanwhile, Asura eyed Spica, who looked sheepishly back at him.
“A-Asura…” Before she could explain, another voice rose as powerful footsteps echoed on the soft ground.
“My daughter?! You… how…. they said you were dead!” He was a tall orc, huge and dark in skin tone, but his eyes reminded Asura of Spica instantly. Those amber eyes filled with a gentle light, yet shaped sharply and beautifully. He then lifted Spica in his arms and began to toss her up, spinning he around.
At first, Asura thought he might feel jealous. However, he didn’t, and the beautiful elf who slowly and elegantly walked towards him from the orc’s side was the spitting image of Spica. She even had the same black hair!
“May I ask your name and which family you are from?”
Asura, with his snow-white hair with a silver shine, looked at the elven woman, confused. Then realised his current self appeared to be an elf at first glance when in his human form.
“Hmmm? Oh, I am not from this land, but a human from the eastern continent, from the kingdom of Silvara. I am Prince of Silvara, Asura Phoenix. Also known as the 70th Abyssal Monarch.” After hearing those words, the elven woman looked stunned at how casually he revealed himself and looked at the orcs, who started whispering.
“Are you really my father?! But brother said you were dead… and human!” Spica finally exclaimed after being set down and given enough space by her father.
“Little orc, let me look at you! You have grown so much!”
“My dear, please. Let us welcome our daughter home, and it seems like she has brought her lover. So we should make sure to treat them well.” The elven beauty hugged the arm of the orc and caused Asura to understand something. He realised the orcs weren’t snatching elves, and both races misunderstood each other.
“Mother?!” Spica shrieked, seeing the female elf, her face completely shocked.
“Hmm? Okay, but if he isn’t strong enough!” It seemed Spica’s father was the warchief. He looked at Asura with a fierce look before the orc, and the prince whispered in her father’s ear, and his face transformed.
“You are the one?! The strong one?” He asked while looking excited.
“He is indeed.” Spica and Féng He Ran chimed.
“You’re the elf mother of Spica and… her father?” Asura’s voice trailed off, because he saw the beautiful and delighted smile of Spica and couldn’t help but feel over the moon for her.
The warchief of the orcs looked a little shy before nodding. “There are reasons…”
“Shall we take a small walk?”
Asura was curious about the story of Spica and how such a plump and happy-looking elf could be living in the village of orcs. It was more amazing that she was the mother of Spica!
“Bal’Vak, my name is Bal’Vak. Father of Spica, husband of Maruna.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Bal’Vak—I am Asura Phoenix. A close friend of Spica.”
The orc’s eyes narrowed before making an amused grin, distorting his fangs before the pair walked further into the village. It was different from how Asura imagined it. While many elves were living here, they seemed happy and here because they wanted to be.
‘After all, there is some miscommunication, or someone is trying to drive them apart…’
“I see your gaze. What do you think of the village of Bal’Vak?”
“Honestly, I think it’s wonderful.”
Asura’s response caused the tall orc’s face to beam with delight; behind them, both Maruna and Spica also looked overjoyed.
