Chapter 165: Crown Prince Aelric
“Hahaha, a good round of battles we get to witness, but is that all?” The blob of slime turned to the other geniuses at the pillars. “Any more challenges from you all, or are we looking at the top geniuses?”
The remaining eight geniuses glanced at each other. Two of them, Revenna and Bruce, were already defeated, while Henry and Jack had been defeated by Five and Asha in the last round. With the defeat of Arthur Gale, only three had yet to fight.
They were Veylin, Crown Prince Aelric, and the top genius from the Emerald Legion.
Everyone turned to look at the three geniuses. The top genius from the Emerald Legion gritted his teeth before giving up. His name was Jared.
“I-I give up.” He immediately withdrew himself from the competition, surprising many.
Some cast disdainful glances at him, while others mocked his cowardly behavior, but eventually, everyone’s attention shifted back to Crown Prince Aelric and Veylin.
They were the only geniuses who had yet to fight in the Battle Realm.
Max also glanced at them, wondering who they would choose to fight.
Veylin turned to Max at that moment, his face turning sinister. “I haven’t forgotten you for what you did last time, but our time hasn’t come yet.”
Max only sneered at his words.
Veylin then turned to Five, his expression full of sarcasm. “Five, would you mind if I replace you here?” he asked politely, but everyone could hear the hint of sarcasm and slyness in his tone.
Max frowned slightly, not expecting Veylin to be so shameless, but he guessed it was to be expected from someone who was the only son of the Young Monarch.
Meanwhile, hearing Veylin’s words, Five glanced at him deeply for a moment before turning his head to the blob. “I admit defeat,” he said calmly, as if the battle here meant nothing to him.
Everyone was stunned by Five’s words, but they weren’t surprised by his decision, knowing that Five worked under the command of the Monarch.
“Are you sure?” the blob of slime asked calmly.
Five nodded. “I admit defeat.” He said again, and this time, he immediately found himself on his pillar, while Veylin replaced him on his stage.
Max glanced at Veylin, seeing how he replaced Five. _It seems our battle is inevitable,_ he thought calmly.
“Now, on to the last one who has yet to battle.” The blob of slime turned to Crown Prince Aelric. “What is your choice?”
Crown Prince Aelric glanced deeply at each of the four individuals standing on their respective stages and sighed. “Each one of them is the peak genius of the Valora Continent, and now I have to fight one of them? Feels like a drag to me.”
He shook his head and turned to the blob. “Tell me, are you broadcasting our fights outside of the temple?” he asked.
The blob of slime nodded with a smile. “Correct, all your battles are being witnessed by those present near the portals. Not only that, the battles are also broadcast to each of the first three floors for all the geniuses to witness the rise of the strongest genius of the Valora Continent.”
“Just when I thought I wouldn’t want to fight these monsters,” Aelric sighed, shaking his head, and turned his attention to the four geniuses on their stages. “If I have to fight one, then I will choose…” His eyes scanned each of the four geniuses before settling on Max. “Him. I will find the one whom I am most curious about.”
Just as he said those words, he appeared on the stage before Max with a broad smile on his face.
“We meet again. Are you ready to fight against me?” Aelric asked as soon as he saw Max up close.
Max sighed deeply, realizing Aelric had chosen him as his opponent. He had hoped to skip this round and directly enter the top 4, but it seemed a fight was inevitable, and it had to be against the Crown Prince of the West.
“I wanted an easy pass to become one of the top four, but it seems I was thinking too much,” Max said, smiling as he took out his sword.
Crown Prince Aelric smiled. “It’s indeed easy. You see, I am not like the others. I don’t like to fight at all. What I like is to sit freely, with all my food in one place, watching a movie or playing a game.”
He added with a satisfied expression, “That’s got to be the most satisfying way to live life.”
Max raised his brows, intrigued. “And yet, you are so perceptive of every battle that happens in the Battle Realm. It makes one wonder how much value your words hold.”
Crown Prince Aelric’s smile froze a bit when he heard Max’s remark, but he still smiled shamelessly. “Well, what can I say? God gave me a good mind.”

Max sighed at how shameless these geniuses could be. Shaking his head, his expression turned sly as he asked, “Aelric, you’ve watched all my battles. You know my battle style, you know my moves, my skills, and what techniques I use. But you? I don’t know anything about you… You’re as blank as a white canvas to me. Isn’t this unfair?”
Crown Prince Aelric nodded almost instantly as soon as Max finished his words. “It is true that I have focused most on you of all the geniuses present here, as you are the one who surprised me the most.”
“Then wouldn’t I be fighting an unfair battle?” Max asked, smiling as he suggested. “How about telling me something about your class, so that I can be ready for whatever you throw at me?”
Aelric chuckled lightly, waving his hand dismissively. “You… You are not fit for scheming. Leave such things to those who truly excel at it.”
Max blinked, momentarily stunned. “I… What?”
Aelric’s words struck a nerve. Max had indeed tried to manipulate the conversation, subtly guiding Aelric into revealing his class. Yet, Aelric had seen right through him, dismantling his attempt with effortless ease.
“Well it doesn’t matter since I will show you what my class is anyway.” Aelric said smiling.
