Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 4245
Chapter 4245: Winter Lunar Eclipse
Davis stood together with Niera at the highest and most prestigious tier of the coliseum. They stood side by side, their gazes locked onto the center of the battle arena. Their faces were calm, but the silence they held was heavy.
“Is it fortune or misfortune that his very body is his battlefield?” Claire spoke with a complicated voice.
“Mastering it will give him immense prowess, and if he doesn’t, it will force him to go out in a burning glory…” Logan sighed gently, “Lucian will definitely succeed.”
“He will.” Claire’s grip on the railing tightened.
The others also shared the same emotions. Niera’s grip on Davis’s hand also turned tense.
Davis was also nervous despite the trust he held in his son. He did not want to watch his son suffer the brunt of being burned from the inside out, but Lucian needed to go through this no matter what since that was his physiology.
At this moment, he turned to look into the distance and found Fairy Runalise coming towards them.
She arrived and floated near the edge of the coliseum, not bothering to enter.
Everyone glared at her as though telling her to stay away, but Fairy Runalise paid no heed. She floated without a single hint of fear apparent in her expression.
“Why is this woman still here?” Mingzhi complained before she turned to look at Lucian.
The others also returned their gaze.
As the sun reached its highest point, an eerie stillness settled over the coliseum. The air shimmered with an intense golden hue as though heaven and earth recognized the monstrous power about to be unleashed.
Lucian clenched his fists, feeling the searing energy surging within him. His veins pulsed with liquid fire, and his skin grew unbearably hot, radiating waves of heat that made the very air ripple around him. His vision turned sharp and golden, almost heavenly, as though he could see every being through their heat signature.
The coliseum trembled as his energy flared. A golden shockwave burst from his body, cracks splintered beneath his feet, his form wreathed in an apocalyptic brilliance. It made many eyes flicker since the arena was built using Immortal Emperor Grade materials, perfect for the children to practice on, and if they could show their prowess and destroy in a display of martial prowess, their confidence would grow.
Evidently, Lucian’s prowess was approaching towards that of… the Immortal Emperor Stage!
“Aaaargh.”
Lucian let out a muffled shout of pain from his throat. His figure trembled as the golden energy violently grew around him, bursting into a wisp of apocalyptic golden flames that were highly destructive.
Abruptly, he threw his head up and roared towards the heavens as though he had a beef with it, his expression furious and unrestricted. Even his blonde hair, which was tied up behind, broke free and swayed as the wind picked up.
Incredible undulations at the Level Seven Immortal King Stage flailed around him, its density extraordinary. It was as though he represented the true strength of the Solar Reverence, leaving everyone speechless.
Davis and the others knew this would happen, but they still couldn’t help but be shocked.
Their second son, Lucian Davis, had already become an Immortal King!
They were wrong about his cultivation speed, even while factoring in the fact that he was an immortal child. With the help of an ice spirit like Iesha and the pills made using her energy, the heat was sporadically kept at bay, allowing his cultivation base to increase faster. Hence, at the age of nine, Lucian already entered the Immortal Stage, leaving others in the dust.
He was the first to become an Immortal in the first generation.
Finally, a few days ago, before exiting the time chambers, he went to the Fourth Void Dust Sanctuary and entered the Immortal King Stage.
Naturally, his heavenly tribulations were also tough, but it was nothing that he couldn’t take care of.
His prowess was already eight levels higher. He was a monster for a child, but no one looked at him as something else since he was always kind and even lacked a self-serving attitude despite being born immortal, which caused everyone to love him.
Nonetheless, as a Level One Immortal King, his prowess allowed him to battle a Level Nine Immortal King, but that was no longer the case.
With the Solar Reverence high up in the skies, his cultivation base started to increase. It was a temporary boost, allowing his cultivation to reach Level Seven Immortal King Stage while his prowess remained the same, which meant his overall prowess allowed him to reach Level Three Immortal Emperor Stage!
“Aaaaaargghh!!!”
Lucian still roared at the heavens at the top of his lungs. It pulled Niera’s heartstrings, making her want to go to him and make it stop. However, she had to endure watching him… had to endure for his future.

Davis held her hand, reassuring her further with his own Heart Intent, but he could be influenced too when connected, so he fully understood what Niera was going through.
*Bang!~*
Like a brute, Lucian clasped his hands and smashed them against the ground, causing a wave of golden apocalyptic flames to seep and destroy the surface. These destructive flames swept to the edge of the arena, scorching the surface deeply as though it were one big oven without a ceiling.
Lucian threw his head up and roared again.
He looked unnaturally pissed off, losing his kind expression. He now looked like a beast that was going on a rampage, but it was clear to Davis and the others that he was suffering. Their hearts bled with worry.
Lucian shot around, triggering the barrier at the edges. Wherever he went, there was a trail of golden apocalyptic flames along with his miserable screams. His robe didn’t catch fire as though it was a part of him. They didn’t find it strange, considering it was conjured with his own martial immortal energy.
But now, it looked like a fiery devil had draped over him.
“Lucian…”
Niera’s face was filled with tears already. She could barely witness this scene, causing her to go towards him, but Davis still held her hand, not allowing her to help him.
There was someone who had the opposite reaction, seemingly filled with excitement.
It was none other than Calypsea. She looked at the golden apocalyptic flames with longing. She had already tasted it a few times when Lucian came out to undergo his heavenly tribulations, and she ambushed him, but this time around, during the Winter Lunar Eclipse, it seemed even more appetizing. She could tell that the flames underwent a qualitative change, almost nearing her flames in its destructive property.
Nonetheless, with Lucian flailing around with pain filling in his voice, even she couldn’t find it amusing. To her, Lucian was a target of protection.
A minute into the change, Lucian finally stopped flailing.
His shuddering stopped ever so lightly before he took a deep breath, causing all the golden flames around him to recede. He took another breath, and the golden flames covering the arena receded. Finally, with another deep breath, his figure draped in a flaming armor receded.
He still exuded a golden glow, but other than that, he looked quite normal.
Lucian raised his hand and gazed at his palm. He was checking his cultivation base and prowess. His cultivation seemed to have temporarily increased to Level Seven Immortal King Stage, as expected. His prowess, which was supposed to be eight levels higher, dropped to five levels higher, causing him to frown.
He wondered if this was due to the fact that it was still not time for the Winter Lunar Eclipse yet. After all, the Blood Moon occurred in the night. It was the time when the Lunar Reverence hid from the Solar Reverence, allowing the Solar Reverence to reign supreme even while the Lunar Reverence was present.
Nonetheless, he turned around and pointed at someone in the stands.
“Father, I challenge you to a duel!”
