Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 4344
Chapter 4344: A Small Detour?
“Nope~” Shirley giggled, “Now everyone here knows the great Young Master of the True Peak Emporium has made acquaintance with me. Even if doesn’t work, how can I discard such a good keepsake?”
*Whistle~*
Kennent whistled as he turned to look at Young Master Ragoon, “I didn’t think you had it in you. Aren’t you lucky?”
“!@#$%^&*”
Young Master Ragoon glared at this dumbass, thinking if only he knew who they were dealing with.
He returned his gaze and forced a smile towards Shirley.
“How did you come here?”
“By foot~”
“…”
Young Master Ragoon sensed something amiss. He instantly decided to return to the town to check out what was going on. Unfortunately, there was no way to message the town from the Starry Empyreal Ruins. He guessed the entrance that led them here was not only a natural illusion array but also a spatial node that connected to a vast distance.
He was sure this place was extremely far away from the town.
Shirley no longer cared about him and looked at the Celestial Descent Light Spirit Tribe.
They nodded to her question, indicating that they would take her to their Treasury. She was just about to follow them when a hand appeared on her shoulder, firmly grasping.
“Uh…”
Shirley froze on the spot as she knew it was Isabella. She smilingly turned to look back and caught her hand, caressing it as though buttering her up.
“Elder sister, I swear I will not fool around. Everything I do is calculated~”
“Oh?” Isabella raised her brows.
She stared at Shirley for a good while before nodding her head, “I’m afraid that your calculations are all fun and less logical, but as long as you can protect yourself, I’m fine with it. Just wait for a few minutes. We’ll go to our original destination later, so we’ll leave together for the tribe first. We want to see it too~”
“Alright~ I’ll tell them to wait.”
Shirley jumped and ran towards the spirits.
“…”
Isabella watched her leave and couldn’t help but smile.
It wouldn’t be Shirley if she didn’t kick up a storm or bring trouble. Moreover, she always acted arbitrarily and thought about the consequences later. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be the woman who wanted to save a dead man who didn’t spend time with her much by sacrificing her primal yin, not knowing if it would work or not.
Nonetheless, she wasn’t worried Shirley would suffer here since she was literally the one with the most powerful offense ability among them. She was only worried that she would get cocky from the incredible prowess of her power and slip up.
That was how most geniuses lost their lives.
Even now, Isabella had not seen Shirley increasing her prowess by a large margin when it got dangerous. Instead, she half-relied on the wall of celestial light to defend her. What Shirley did was calculated, but she didn’t like how it was on the brink of life and death.
Sure- they all kept their powers restrained since they didn’t want the supreme geniuses to flee at the first sight of them and run away with their precious loot. However, when it came to a matter of life and death, she wished Shirley would choose to protect herself and not take a gamble even if she had eight more lives.
“…”
Isabella suddenly blinked as she turned to look back. Over a hundred kilometers away, near a dilapidated hut, there was a broken pillar. Behind it, she saw the little spirit’s mineral-like crown.

She got visibly confused.
Spirits were bound to their locations, or rather, they wouldn’t like to leave their homes or suitable environments. She couldn’t understand why the little Grand Geocrest Metal Spirit would follow them here.
‘Is it a roaming spirit…?’
Isabella wondered if it didn’t have any home to begin with. Wasn’t the gold mine they assumed its home?
She cast a look at Bylai and saw that she had also taken notice. She knew Bylai would be highly interested in obtaining this spirit. However, they had two spirit sisters, Iesha and Eldia, so they no longer viewed spirits as something to be forced into subservience or hoodwinked into a pact, especially not a child.
‘Well, maybe she’s just curious about what’s going on here and will go back…’
Isabella thought and returned her gaze. Her senses flowed out hundreds and thousands of kilometers away, and she caught Niera battling with a supreme genius in another street, a Kingly Sovereign and roasted him to a crisp with a fiery nova that burst like a sun. She had actually killed him, making her wonder if he had been rude. After all, Niera was a kind woman.
Perhaps she was unable to hold back since their prowess wasn’t that different.
On the other side, Dalila, Aila, and Freya moved as a team. She was glad that she didn’t need to worry about them. It was only Niera who went solo, but she could understand that she craved some adventures. After all, Niera was born and grew up in a cave in a sealed area.
She indicated Bylai to go back her up.
Bylai nodded and left to bring her back.
Kennent was pleading with Shirley to also take her to the Celestial Descent Spirit Tribe. On the other hand, Young Master Ragoon had left. She smelled trouble from him. After all, he was an influential merchant of a big trading company, so his influence might even have supreme geniuses forming together to hunt them down.
However, she would appreciate it if he were to do that.
After all, the more supreme geniuses who were going to throw themselves at them, the more loot they were going to obtain.
“Really? You’re so persistent~ If you don’t stop, I’m going to behead you.”
Shirley grumbled. After Kennent realized that she was really strong, he started respecting her immensely. Although she didn’t like that kind of attitude, it didn’t feel bad to be revered.
She felt that he at least had a head that would allow him to survive.
Nonetheless, she wasn’t willing to take him to the spirit tribe. Instead, she thought of what to ask so she could send him away. Instantly, she remembered that he knew of the names of the supreme geniuses who had entered this secret realm.
“Do you know a supreme genius named Dewzai?” Shirley asked offhandedly.
It was as though she was asking a question in passing. She asked without putting much thought into it and was already ready to ask another question.
“Yeah, of course.” Kennent chuckled pridefully, “That woman came here two months ago. I learned that she was a wanted inheritor. Apparently, she was caught by her Devilish Flame Fox Clan a year ago, but she then slaughtered her way out since she refused to stay in prison and rot for a million years. There’s even a hit party out for her since she has a huge bounty on her head. Well, many of those so-called accursed inheritors are also here anyway.”
“…”
Shirley’s eyes slowly widened. She really didn’t expect an affirmative answer.
