Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 4393
Chapter 4393: Hope-Filled Future
Mingzhi and Yotan returned home with Yulai Nuxaren as Stella transported them to the Second Void Dust Sanctuary. They arrived at the teleportation point and proceeded to head towards the mansion. With a single step, they arrived before the entrance.
Instantly, Mingzhi could sense a few people arriving behind the door.
She hid a smile, knowing Davis could be so thoughtful at times.
The doors to the mansion opened, and there stood Davis with Tianyu in his hand.
Tianyu was dressed in a black-golden robe and his silver hair shimmered under the morning rays. His face was soft and gentle, befitting of his age, looking like a young prince who would grow into a charming man.
Opposite to them were Mingzhi and Yulai Nuxaren, hand in hand, just like them.
Tianyu and Yulai Nuxaren’s gazes matched, their gazes full of curiosity. Their curiosity was only fueled more when they sensed something strange while looking at each other. They didn’t know what it was, but it was as though they were meeting a good acquaintance after a long time.
But the truth was that it was their physique reacting to each other’s presence.
The resonance wasn’t strong, not even a ripple, but it was there.
Davis and Mingzhi let them gaze at each other before Yulai Nuxaren finally took his gaze off him and looked at him, her expression turning slightly uncomfortable upon seeing his relatively huge stature.
“Father, who is she?” Tianyu asked.
Davis pursed his lips, wondering how he should say that they had gotten him his future dual cultivation partner, but supposedly, it wasn’t a given, so she could be his little sister.
He didn’t know what kind of term would suit best.
Nonetheless, Davis first let go of Tianyu and walked towards the little girl.
He bent down, coming to her level before opening his mouth.
“The people who have shackled you are nowhere. They are gone, and so are the ones who ruined your previous home. From today, this is your home. We will take care of you. Did you understand?”
“…”
Yulai Nuxaren held Mingzhi’s hand tightly. She pursed her lips and nodded with a scared expression.
“Don’t be scared. My name is Davis. Mingzhi is my wife, so I’m now your guardian as well. If anything happens to you, I’m responsible, so if anyone bullied you, don’t hesitate to directly look for me. Okay?”
Davis raised his arm and touched his muscles as though telling her that he was strong, with a wide smile on his face.
Watching this scene, Yulai Nuxaren smiled lightly behind her frail expression, “O-Okay~”
She turned to look at Mingzhi, who then nodded, “Yes, he’s my husband.”
Yulai Nuxaren returned her gaze to Davis and smiled more, “Mhm~ I understand.”
Mingzhi was taken aback lightly. It seemed like Yulai Nuxaren poured out all her grievances when she cried out in her arms. Her smile became softer as she caressed her head.
“Tell them your name. Introduce yourself.”
Yulai Nuxaren cupped with one hand, but seeing that her other hand held Mingzhi, she drove her hand to it and grabbed it.
“My name is Yulai Nuxaren, hailing from the Nuxaren Family of the Dark Rain Plains. Pleased to meet you~”
“What a polite child.”
Davis nodded and stood up. He beckoned for Tianyu to come forward and held him.
“Tianyu, this is Yulai Nuxaren. From now on, you’ll grow together. Go on, introduce yourself.”

Tianyu raised his brows before he turned to look at her. Live together?
He vaguely recalled his parents and teachers telling him that in order to cultivate to the Immortal Stage, he needs the help of a special person.
Could it be that this little girl would be the one to help him?
He thought and sweetly smiled, “I’m Tianyu Davis. Welcome to the Davis Family, Yulai.”
“Thanks… Tian… yu…”
Yulai Nuxaren said his name before she nodded.
Davis chuckled as he looked at the two little ones, “Come, we’ll show you around. Perhaps you’ll be able to meet most of the members of the Davis Family.”
“Don’t overwhelm her.” Mingzhi eyed him but still smilingly followed him.
Yotan, who stood in the back, disappeared. She still had some things to take care of.
While Davis and Mingzhi were going around, they gradually let go of the children, allowing them to walk side by side. They were really little, so they were ultra cute.
They first caught sight of Esvele, so they introduced her and said if she was troubled with something, she could always look for the head maid. Yulai Nuxaren obediently nodded.
Next, they went around, meeting whoever they could.
Fiora also joined them. She was highly receptive to Mingzhi’s plan and quickly grew attached to Yulai Nuxaren, offering to be a guardian herself so that Mingzhi wouldn’t need to feel awkward.
“It’s fine. I won’t burden anyone. More than anything, I’m grateful to Davis for supporting me in this endeavor. I was afraid he hadn’t secretly approved with how he was dragging it out, but it turns out that he was just looking for the best, if not most optimal, where our son wouldn’t get hurt. Foolish me. Fortunately, we arrived upon her- Yulai Nuxaren- so I’m prepared to fully take care of her needs.”
Mingzhi clenched her fists, her eyes full of determination, “- even if she ultimately doesn’t want Tianyu.”
“…”
Fiora was astonished.
The whole point of adopting Yulai Nuxaren was to help Tianyu in his cultivation.
Nonetheless, she was aware Tianyu could also not want her.
“Yes, it’s better to leave it to them.”
Fiora eyed Tianyu and Yulai, knowing their polar physiques might eventually do the job for them. She guessed the rate of failure for this plan was really low unless Tianyu grew up to be an asshole or Yulai turned out to be a bad woman but she seemed really polite and Tianyu also had good manners although he could be a young master at times since he was smart just like Mingzhi.
Mingzhi also thought the same. But now, she couldn’t care about it since they were so little.
She turned to look at Davis.
“How did it go with Evelynn?”
“We haven’t started it yet. She needs to prepare.”
Davis averted his gaze, totally not guilty of drinking poisonous milk to his fill.
“Alright~”
Mingzhi giggled. She vaguely knew what could happen if these two were together.
Even she wanted to bully Evelynn for her massive peaks. Those were playing foul inside the harem. She needs to be punished, but since she was the first wife, it was difficult to get her.
Quickly, the time of the meeting was over when they went by the school side, and Noctis, Styx, Ragna, Arc, Xiesha, and Felix came by and began to chat with Yulai Nuxaren, their gazes full of curiosity and the happiness of meeting a new playmate since that was rarer.
Yulai Nuxaren was overwhelmed- with happiness when she saw that there were so many children like her. It didn’t take her much time to open her heart, as she forgot all about Davis and Mingzhi and went to play with them as they all invited her.
She saw Noctis, Styx, and Ragna were feys with black tails.
Xiesha was also a spirit fey with strange features.
It was really amazing for her, who didn’t grow up with such children. In fact, she hadn’t been allowed to play anywhere since she could be kidnapped for her rare physique, which she didn’t know what it was until Mingzhi explained it to her, finally making her understand why only she was kept alive a bit.
Giggles and laughter echoed as she got to know more about them while playing.
“See? It’s not going to be bad.”
Mingzhi leaned against Davis as she watched the children in the playground. Their play style was a bit violent, but they had toned it down for Yulia’s sake, who had no cultivation. They treated her with care like they were her little sister.
“You have all taught the children good manners.”
Davis nodded as he saw their behavior in front of a stranger.
This rowdy group was able to keep themselves at bay, acting like they were truly noble, making him inwardly laugh.
Mingzhi giggled, “You can think of Yulai as our fortune star. She lit up the home like she’s a goddess.”
“It would be good as long as he doesn’t light up the house in flames.”
“You-”
Mingzhi pinched him on the arm for his joke, causing him to laugh.
“In any case, I know you care about the betterment of both of them, but don’t go overboard. Let them come together or separate naturally. Their physiques alone would do the necessary thing as long as they grew together. We do not need to interfere.”
“I know. I won’t do anything. But now, we are finally fulfilled. We can look forward to the future with all of us still remaining alive and working towards the betterment of the Davis Family, making progress by leaps and bounds. Still, for us and the children, we need to strive harder.”
“Yes.”
Davis touched Mingzhi’s hand, “For us and the children, we can never fail.”
“We will emerge victorious.” Fiora also appeared on his other side, enveloping him in her embrace.
He held the two of them together as they welcomed a new child and a hope-filled future.
