Chapter 4394: Working On A Manual
After Davis welcomed Yulai Nuxaren with Mingzhi and Fiora, he excused himself and went back to Evelynn.

He found her half-naked but ready to receive his aid as she sat on a cushion at the center of the chamber. Suppressing his desires and putting on a solemn expression, he sat behind her and placed his hands on his chest, ready to aid in her circulation of her energy and also imbue life energy to purge annihilative heavenly poison if it was too toxic and harmed Evelynn.

Evelynn took out a container that held one wisp of heavenly annihilative poison.

There were many like this since both Davis and Myria gathered for her, but first, she intended to absorb this wisp and circulate it towards her dantian, trying to absorb it.

She guessed she would likely be poisoned, but it wasn’t anything new for her, who experimented with a lot of poisons. She had high resistance to poisons because of her Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Blood, but not as much as Three-Headed Hydras or Nether Devils. In fact, the Nether Devils were much more resistant to poison than a Six-Headed Hydra.

Nonetheless, Evelynn’s poison resistance was even higher than Three-Headed Hydras because she carried Emperor-Tier Blood within her. It probably matched an impure-blooded Six-Headed Hydra.

Flicking her finger, the container’s bottle cap came off, and a purple-black wisp slithered out, its appearance both cloudy and somewhat liquid.

She beckoned it with her soul force to come towards her.

Instantly, the annihilative heavenly poisonous wisp affected her soul force and trailed back to her soul, poisoning it. However, Evelynn didn’t bat an eyelid. She already knew this would happen.

Davis also focused his entire soul sense on her body.

He knew her soul was now affected by the annihilative heavenly poison. However, it was unable to harm her quickly. After all, the heavenly poison itself was only thirteen levels higher from the Level One Immortal Emperor Stage. Evelynn was much more powerful.

The annihilative heavenly poison had to slowly work its way into the soul and affect the soul essence in order to make her suffer. Until then, she could mount a defense that would make its invasion even slower unless she decided to absorb more poisonous wisps.

Evelynn absorbed the annihilative heavenly poison wisp through her finger and forcefully circulated it using her soul force. It traversed through her meridians, making its way towards her dantian. One could see her veins turn purple as it slithered through her wrist, arm, and shoulder and made its way downward to the neck, breasts, and the solar plexus.

She shook ever so lightly, starting to feel nauseous. Her body was poisoned.

Still, it was unable to affect her in a significant way. If she wanted, she could flush out everything even without Davis’s help.

However, she then brought the second annihilative heavenly poison wisp, taking it in the same way, but drove it through the other hand. Her intention was also to temper the meridians using annihilative heavenly poison. The sensation of her arms and pulsing in pain began, but she paid no heed, continuing to absorb.

The third, fourth, fifth, and sixth annihilative heavenly poison wisps were also absorbed.

At this point, her entire upper body’s meridians were exposed along the surface of her curvaceous body. She began undertaking the annihilative heavenly poison to her lower body now, the veins on her legs turning purple-black.

Davis monitored the whole process. Right now, only the veins were being tempered.

He guessed she would go all the way and began tempering her bones, organs, and soul to become like him even without a physique. This way, she would be able to wield annihilative heavenly poison better without injuring her own body.

She then absorbed the seventh wisp and made it attack one of her organs.

Evelynn shuddered ever so lightly. Blood came out of her lips, causing Davis’s heart to shudder.

He knew this was the tough part. He feared she was going to start screaming out in pain or even worse, just faint like that and become incredibly weak.

The annihilative heavenly poison wasn’t to be underestimated. Its poison was even stronger than a Six-Headed Hydra’s poison and perhaps even a Nether Devil’s. The normal heavenly poison was used by the heavens to kill someone who had fourth-tier karmic sin. Its immense toxicity was thoroughly intended to end the life of the tribulation taker without any way out whatsoever, so what about the annihilative heavenly poison that targets Anarchic Divergents?

It was even more powerful. Once it broke through the defenses and seeped into the flesh, it was practically over.

And that was what he was going to keep at bay with his life energy.

Time passed gradually.

Davis exited the chamber after two days.

He used his soul sense on Evelynn to check on her one last time and saw that she was soundlessly sleeping but still fine.

He brought Myria and Ellia inside and had them check Evelynn.

They also diagnosed her and stated nothing was wrong, making him heave a sigh of relief. He also felt it was a good thing Evelynn was able to endure until the end. Otherwise, he would’ve called Ellia, Myria, and Everlight for backup, as they were all experts in using life energy. They would’ve also found themselves in a puddle of toxic blood if he hadn’t cleaned up and erased all traces in the past hour.

Nonetheless, he was still worried about Evelynn, so he made them stay before he began to help Ellia perfect her new Life-Attributed Cultivation Manual

It was based upon the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Manual, but with the entire part of Death and Reincarnation section out. In addition, it was heavily modified using Saintess Lunaria’s cultivation manual that they had both received during their disciple days with Saintess Lunaria. However, Ellia made sure to also include many insights she possessed to make it her own and also inscribe the secrets behind the runes of the Elysian Jade Wolf Fox, making it a powerful cultivation manual in terms of life.

Considering her memories came from Myria, it could already be said she had an extremely good experience in creating a cultivation manual, so she was able to create one in two years.

She had perfected it in the Immortal Emperor Stage but needed their help for the Empyrean Stage.

In a week, they managed to make it happen.

“Ahaha~ Look at this- the Goldilock Lifebloom Law Codex!”

Ellia took up a scroll and flashed it towards the ceiling as though mocking the heavens.

She had finally consolidated the life-attributed cultivation manual up to the peak of the Empyrean Grade.
