Chapter 2584: Siege 6
Rosin Karat—the Old Devil—rose from his prison with eyes like burning stars and a presence that bent the very air around him. His body, once gaunt and suppressed, now radiated divine might.

He stood tall, his robes flared with residual energy, and the force of his awakening sent the nearby debris spiraling through the chamber. The Supreme Being cast his gaze on Emery and offered a solemn nod—gratitude without words.

Then, without pause, his glowing eyes fell on the man crumpled on the ground: Veyarel.

Veyarel was convulsing, twitching like a man caught between two worlds. “Master… you’re free…” Master… I—I can’t hold it… that thing inside me—ARGHHH!!”

Rosin Karat stepped forward and placed a hand on Veyarel’s forehead. A pulse of cosmic power surged from the Supreme’s palm, and Veyarel’s body jerked as a black mist began to pour out from his orifices, writhing like a living thing. Veyarel calmed instantly, though he remained pale, barely conscious.

The old supreme turned to Emery. “Tell me what’s going on.”

Emery opened his mouth, but before he could speak, Rosin’s eyes flashed, and a silent connection was made. In an instant, the Supreme Being sifted through Emery’s memories—of the invasion, the parasite, the seal-breaking, and the chaos beyond the dungeon.

Rosin let out a heavy sigh. “The pills you gave me… could only temporarily restore my strength… we can’t afford to linger.”

With a faint flick of his fingers, he returned the leather pouch to Emery—now noticeably lighter.

Emery’s heart sank; ten of his precious Tier 8 Dual Refinement Pills had been consumed in one go.

Still, even he had to admit—liberating a Supreme Magus and earning his favor might just be worth the price.

“Well,” he mused, “the Karat is rich… I’d better be seeing tons of reward for saving their patriarch when we get home.”

The thought hadn’t even finished forming when Rosin Karat turned his head and gave Emery a slight, knowing smile. His piercing golden eyes shimmered with faint amusement.

“Yes… we need to get home. But first, I must help free my men from the parasites. I see from your mind that there is an alchemist who can help.”

With a nod between them, a plan quickly formed. Emery hoisted the half-conscious Veyarel over his shoulder. Beside him, the newly freed Supreme Being, Rosin Karat, turned his gaze upward. Then, with a single sweeping motion of his arm, the very dungeon trembled.

A deep, thunderous rumble echoed through the underground as hundreds of meters of dense, high-grade stone began to split apart. Cracks formed rapidly across the ceiling, glowing faintly with cosmic energy.

BOOM

The rock above burst open, revealing a jagged tunnel that reached all the way to the surface. Cold air rushed in through the breach.

“Let’s go,” Rosin’s voice carried the weight of absolute command.

With Veyarel’s arm slung over his shoulder, Emery flew up the jagged stone tunnel, following the old Supreme’s path. The cold wind hit his face as he burst through the surface and stepped into a field of white snow—just outside the southern edge of the inner yard.

But what greeted him was chaos.

Screams and explosions filled the air. Enemy forces had overrun the inner yard.

Emery’s sharp eyes scanned the battlefield, catching sight of scattered pockets of resistance and flickering defensive wards collapsing under pressure. Cosmic-level enemies surged forward, some already breaking through the outer perimeter of the main keep.

And above them, the skies were ablaze.

Lord Ariel was barely holding his line, only half of his elite force remaining.

One of the Barbarian Peak Cosmic experts had descended; the female beastmaster had sent her godly beasts to rampage the stronghold, destroying walls and killing defenders.

She rode above a massive, frog-like creature that let out a guttural roar. Emery watched a dozen of the magus defenders scream as they were pulled off the ground and sucked helplessly into the beast’s maw.

There was no doubt. The defenders were losing.

Rosin Karat stood silently beside him, expression unreadable.

“Where is this alchemist?” Rosin asked, scanning the battlefield. His tone made it clear—he had no interest in the battle. He only wanted to save his men.

Emery had the same objectives—saving Veyarel, the one who knows the way back home—but his perspective had shifted. He saw the battlefield, the dying defenders, the crumbling keep… and the opportunity that lay within the chaos.

“Elder… Helping the defender is the best chance to clear your name; this will be very helpful… Or else we will always be fugitive in this realm.”

Rosin paused, his eyes narrowing in thought.

“Very well.”

He raised his hands to the sky, and a deep hum resonated from the ground up as Rosin Karat unleashed his full power.

The entire stronghold shook.

This time, he did not summon stone—but metal. All around them, weapons, armor fragments, and broken gates trembled. With a deafening metallic screech, they rose into the air and began to spin, merging and forming gleaming spheres of concentrated mass.

These orbs then expanded, unfolded, and reshaped—forged mid-air into towering figures. In mere seconds, three dozen golden constructs stood among the chaos, each one crackling with runic energy and emanating the unmistakable pressure of a Cosmic Realm being.

They weren’t just golems—they were war avatars, far more refined than the ones Emery had seen created by Hassa Karat in the Vault Battle.

With a silent gesture from Rosin, the constructs activated.

In perfect unison, they charged into the fray.

Blades of gold clashed with bone clubs, enchanted fists shattered enemy barriers, and protective shields unfurled over the remaining defenders. The momentum of the battle shifted instantly.

Rosin Karat calmly extended his hand, and Veyarel’s wounded body floated gently toward one of the golems. He was laid into its armored arms with reverence, and then two other constructs stepped forward beside Emery.

“You have fifteen minutes,” Rosin said without turning, his voice low and commanding. “Find this alchemist,” he said, before he lifted into the sky, his golden aura flaring like a rising sun as he ascended into the heart of the high-level battle.
