Chapter 831: Growth

While looking at the battle in front of her, Damuda had a smile on her face; everything was happening as she had planned.

Aya looked at this with a neutral expression; it was impossible to know what was going on in her head.

Meanwhile, Uta sat there with a rageful expression, as if he was about to jump into the fight himself to kill Jayden right this moment.

His body trembled as Bunene’s scream reverberated.

Inside the blood mist, Bunene kept screaming, feeling a kind of pain that he never knew existed.

His flesh, organs, and skin felt as if they were constantly being chewed by some insects.

While his body felt as if it was burning in a never-ending fire, each moment drove him closer to madness.

On top of that, the pressure from Jayden, who sat on the large throne, made his heart shiver. Jayden looked so majestic, as if his one step alone would cover a few kilometers.

Current Bunene was inside a demon-like creature’s mouth, his entire body pierced by the pointy and long teeth of the demon.

He couldn’t move but could feel all his strength slowly draining from his body.

Jayden looked down at him with a bored expression; his strength was even lower than that of a god whom he had beaten and locked in a different timeline.

He wasn’t paying much attention to Bunene and only focused on the World Tree, which was slowly absorbing the divine energy. It was growing once again.

“Feels like its growth will slow down after I absorb the divine energy of a few more gods. Hmm, that’s to be expected. This much power can’t be obtained that easily.

But it only means I will have to rob even more gods of their divine energies until the World Tree has grown to its full length,” Jayden mumbled while observing the plant.

Along with the World Tree, he could feel his own strength grow at an exponential rate.

While Bunene was struggling uselessly to get out of there, the giant demon suddenly began to chew, making a mess of his body.

Even with his high defense, his body was getting injured, and blood was leaking constantly.

Slowly, Jayden increased the speed of the absorption of the divine energy.

After an hour, he had already absorbed over half of the energy in Bunene’s body, as his body had started to shrink.

At one point, Bunene’s screaming and begging had stopped.

He was too weak to even speak. In his mind, he was only hoping, even begging, for his leader, his father-in-law, to come and kill Jayden to save his life.

He waited and waited, but nothing happened. With each passing moment, his body grew weaker along with his belief that Uta would definitely come to save him.

He felt abandoned, yet there wasn’t anything he could do.

Uta clenched the armrest of his chair, his eyes burning with a dangerous fire.

After around two hours, when he could barely feel Bunene’s presence- when he had become so weak that if he punched a wall lightly, it might result in his own bones breaking- the Sun God could no longer hold back.

“You will have to FIGHT ME!!!” Uta screamed as he finally jumped down from his throne and into the blood mist, his body engulfed by a red colored flame.

Aya and Damuda didn’t try to stop him, as if they believed Uta would win even if it was against Jayden, and their belief would soon turn into the truth.

The two beauties observed the scene with smiles on their faces, which looked very beautiful but held a deeper meaning behind them.

Bunene fell onto the ground after almost the entire divine energy had been absorbed out of his body. He could no longer feel any strength in his body.

He landed in a pool of blood, as his bones crackled dangerously from the impact.

With great difficulty, he turned his head to look at the reflection of his own image in the blood, wondering if whatever he had seen before was true or just an illusion.

“?!!”

His soul almost left his body as he saw the condition his body was in.

Just as he had seen before, his head was missing, and the brain was clearly visible above. It was constantly being repaired as countless tiny insects crawled and chewed his brain.

Both his legs had twisted into strange shapes; he was sure that the bones should have turned into dust by now.

His entire body was riddled with holes; even his face looked so terrifying. His handsome appearance was nowhere to be found.

He could even see the thumping of his heart from outside his body, while both his hands were slowly melting into the blood pool.

He wanted to scream but couldn’t. Bunene felt pity for himself and questioned again and again why no one came to help him. Now everything was gone, completely shattered.

He had lost everything, and regret was the only thing remaining.

“You will have to FIGHT ME!!!”

Just then, a scream rang out, and the blood mist was illuminated by the bright red fire. The mist was even pushed back a little.

‘Finally, he is here!’ Bunene thought as he sensed Uta rushing towards Jayden. Even now, he felt happy that Jayden would finally get what he deserves. He will be tortured even more and die a gruesome death.

Jayden was floating. He was ready to give one more blow to the fallen god and make him sleep for a long time, but then he sensed Uta’s presence.

‘So he is interrupting the battle after all. That is good; now I can take even his divine energy, and Damuda can’t say anything since her father was the one to attack me,’ Jayden thought, feeling his excitement rise.

This battle was going to be very different from the earlier one. Jayden might have to use all his strength to crush the Sun God, but still, he wasn’t worried.

Jayden removed the mist, since such small things weren’t going to have any kind of effect on his mental health.

Just as the mist disappeared, Uta was revealed, who had stopped some distance away from him. He was busy chanting something.

A purple fire engulfed Jayden’s body. He even wondered if he should take his dragon form for the first time from the start of the battle since it seemed Uta was going to use a big attack.

‘Anna, do you think he is as strong as Zeus?’ Jayden asked in his mind as his aura kept getting stronger.

“Maybe he is, but I think Zeus could come victorious in their battle. Yet Uta is still very dangerous, so fight him carefully,” Anna said, though she had a feeling that Jayden could defeat him.

After his chant had finished, Uta summoned a weapon. It was a small knife; half of its blade was normal, while the top of the blade was curving, making it seem like a sun. Its aura was extremely strong.

The Sun God concentrated all his energy on this weapon. It was one of his strongest weapons that could cut any being irrespective of how high their defense might be.

None of the dragons could defend against this type of attack. It could cut through their scales without any difficulty. This was the special trait of the small knife.

Jayden could feel the dangerous aura lingering around the weapon, and he knew it wasn’t just a simple knife. Before attacking, he first decided to observe it a little.

It wouldn’t be good to just charge in mindlessly.

“Try to avoid this, or you’ll die,” Uta shouted. Then he raised his right hand and pointed the knife towards the sky. He had exhausted a large amount of energy on this single attack.

“GO!!!” The Sun God released a thunderous roar as he slashed the knife in Jayden’s direction, who felt an invisible energy rushing towards him.

“Dodge it!!” Anna warned. Even she felt that this type of attack might really hurt Jayden.

Aya and Damuda narrowed their gazes. This was an important part, and if this failed, then the plan would not succeed.

After sending off the slash, Uta looked towards Jayden to see if his attack had failed or succeeded.
