Chapter 873: Chains
Among all the battle areas, people were dying one after another as the various planets felt the sadness take over them. In all forty seven battle areas, only one race would survive, which meant almost ninety- nine percent of the races or organizations would be facing punishment, so a whole lot of people were going to die.
Jayden looked at the asuras kneeling in front of him; they were trying desperately to stand against the force pressing down on them. They were proud warriors and wouldn’t kneel in front of anyone.
Jayden lessened the pressure so that they were able to stand again, but they still weren’t able to move. The asuras were fighting not only out of hatred but also to protect their planet. The king of the asura race looked like a brute. He had long black hair and a huge body, with veins bulging all over him and his eyes turning red. He gritted his teeth yet wasn’t able to move.
“Take a breath and tell me exactly the reason for your anger; I’m curious,” Jayden said, looking at the other battle areas. It was obvious that they were going to take some more time before the others were done.
“I— I received news about the god of our race. I heard he was killed in a sneaky way. Someone he trusted had backstabbed him to obtain a treasure that our god possessed, and I can sense a familiar aura from you. We all believe that you might be related to that deceitful act.”
At first, the asura king didn’t want to say anything, but then he finally spoke, seeing that there was no other way.
“Oh, so that’s why you have been glaring at me. The asura God is dead?”
Jayden was surprised; he seemed like such a strong entity with his battle- crazy personality. He was one of the strongest figures in the universe.
“I think that aura is because of these,” Jayden said as he took out the asura bracelets from his storage ring. The ten asuras were shocked to see them; they had only heard about them in the texts left behind.
“Anyway, they had helped me before, but you can take them if you wish.” Saying that, he threw the bracelets towards the asura king, who caught the bracelets and inspected them for a whole two minutes. After finding that the bracelets were real, all his doubts were cleared.
“T- Thank you. We have been searching for these for a very long time since they contain the teachings from our god. Thank you for returning them to us. It is unfortunate that we have met in such a place, but it seems we might not have too much time to talk. But please give us a minute.”
After the asura king spoke, Jayden nodded. Then the ten men and women walked a few steps away and formed a circle to talk about something.
Despite the certain death, they were quite happy since they would be able to make such a big contribution, but the only thing making them sad was that so many of their children, young and old, would be dying as a punishment.
After a few minutes had passed, the leader released a bitter laugh as he walked back towards Jayden while leaving the others to share their last moments in peace. Taking a deep breath, he spoke:
“Can you do one last favor for me? It might be too much to ask, and I can’t give anything in return, but I would be grateful to you if you could deliver these bracelets to my race.”
Jayden took the bracelets and nodded; he gave them a little longer before finishing the first round. After the asuras had said their last words, all ten of them walked in front of Jayden and stood there with their eyes closed, waiting for death with their hearts pounding hard in their chests.
“…”
Jayden looked at the ten of them, then raising his right hand, he pointed towards them as a large amount of energy rushed out of his body and enveloped them. Without any pain or any kind of sensation, their bodies began to disappear. Within seconds, all of them had died, though they couldn’t have asked for a better death.
Jayden was the only one left standing there now. Hundreds of creatures had died within a matter of minutes; blood and corpses were lying all over the place. While he was looking around, Jayden was teleported back to his seat.
“Are you fine?” Sasha asked, all his wives looking at him with worry and care in their eyes.
“Yes, I am fine,” Jayden replied with a small smile. Then he looked at the asura race in the distance; the atmosphere was melancholic there as they mourned not only the death of those ten but even the ones that might die in the future.
Jayden released the two bracelets along with the message of the asura king. Within a second, it reached the platform, and those people were shocked as well, with many of them even beginning to cry after seeing the message.
More than half of the battles were already over. There were even a few races that were shouting madly, cheering and roaring as the people from their races slaughtered everyone. Just like the werewolf race, the king Alpha had transformed into his beast- like form as he roared and cut all the other races apart.
But more than any of the battles taking place around him, Jayden seemed to be more interested in a couple of people. His eyes were fixed on the platform of the Dragon race. The men sitting there seemed quite timid, as if they were in constant fear of something.
The two women were covered in reddish- coloured cloth, which made them both look quite strange. Aside from their eyes, nothing else was visible; they would glance at Jayden and then look away.
The eyes of both women seemed to contain completely different types of emotions, but both were showing such intense reactions to him.
Although he wasn’t completely sure, Jayden had a feeling in his heart about the identity of both women. He had an urge to meet them both, to see the girl from his childhood and the woman he had never seen before.
“You are going to meet quite a few people today, it seems. I am quite excited myself,” Anna’s voice sounded, though it contained more emotion than usual; after all, she too would be meeting him really soon.
Just then, the guardian began to make an announcement about the end of the first round, but Jayden barely paid any attention to it.

His gaze remained on the two women, narrowing his eyes as he focused on them, looking through the strange cloth covering them.
It had an effect that made it impossible to see through the cloth without hurting them since it seemed to be connected to them in some way, but Jayden was still able to see something that made him frown. The hands of both women were bound by chains, restricting any movement.
