Chapter 890: Clones

All the fighters stared at Zeus; his current condition sent a shiver down their spines. The fear they felt towards Jayden grew; after all, Zeus was amongst the strongest of the group.

Only very few could surpass him, so none of them moved and could only wait.

The vines began to rush towards Jayden as soon as he appeared back. Thick vines approached him from all directions. Jayden ignored Zeus as he just looked at the vines without a hint of worry on his face, while the others wondered if he would be able to escape them too.

Suddenly, the vines swung wildly and began to wrap around Jayden, their spikes trying to make holes in his body.

They wrapped around his waist, his legs, and arms; within seconds, the vines had covered his entire body as his figure disappeared from the sight of all the people standing around.

“Did he really just die? Why didn’t he move at all, or is he still alive?” a person questioned.

“He didn’t move maybe because he was frozen by fear. Anyway, I don’t think he would survive something like that; after all, it was created by those terrifying beings. Even if by a slim chance he manages to survive, then he would surely die by the hands of that giant golem,” another person added.

All gazes turned towards the golem as they saw it just standing there without making a move.

After the vines had wrapped around his body, Jayden felt the vines trying to twist and break his body, as the energy around his body slowly began to move towards the vines, as more and more of them continued to coil around his body.

“…” Jayden just smirked; he used the Demonic Devouring Arts, and instantly the direction of the flow of energy changed completely.

The vines began to struggle as a large amount of energy began to flow out of them. Like a snake caught by its tail, it continued to wriggle around his body, trying to stop or kill Jayden, but it was to no avail.

After a few minutes, the vines tried to move away from Jayden, but they weren’t able as a dangerous amount of energy rushed out of them. Even the land began to crack as the vines continued to dry up; within a couple of minutes, almost the entire vine had dried up.

Jayden lightly moved his hand, and the dead vines withered away completely, losing all the energy they consisted of. He brushed the dust off his clothes and let his gaze sweep over all the people staring at him with wide eyes.

“Sigh. If you all just stand there and stare at me, then it would get very boring. Anyway, isn’t it unfair that more than a hundred people are fighting against just a single person? Hmmm, why don’t we make it even more unfair?” Jayden spoke with a wide smile, his voice reverberating across the entire space, making the others confused.

Jayden snapped his fingers; he used the Creation skill as his body seemed to vibrate for a few seconds.

Then figures exactly similar to him began to appear around the battleground. The numbers continued to increase until the number of Jayden’s clones matched exactly the number of his opponents.

“This isn’t enough…” Jayden mumbled, and once again snapped his fingers with a smile, as the number of clones increased further.

Now, in front of each opponent, over five Jaydens had appeared, but the number continued to increase.

Within just a few seconds, the number of clones had increased to more than a thousand, with ten or more of them standing in front of each opponent. Only then did Jayden nod in satisfaction.

“…” The sound of gasps and of swallowing saliva rang out in the place. More than the people sitting inside the bubbles or the platforms, the fighters and the guardians received this shock; they stared wide-eyed at those figures.

What was even more terrifying was that all of the figures of Jayden seemed to contain a terrifying amount of energy, nothing less than the original Jayden.

None of them could even imagine where he found such a large amount of energy; even if all hundred of them combined their strength, they wouldn’t be able to defeat even half of them.

“I was wondering why those people were using us to deal with him; maybe they were scared of him from the start. That’s why instead of going at him directly, they used us,” the True God’s voice rang out, and the others felt the same.

They stared at the figures of Jayden surrounding them; they felt as if moving even a bit would be the moment they died.

“That…” The guardians were also shocked as they saw this scene. Even they would struggle to create so many copies of themselves with their powers combined, yet Jayden was able to accomplish that in such a short time.

As the shock disappeared, a dangerous glint appeared in the eyes of all the guardians, a cruel and wide smile appearing on their faces.

This was the main purpose why they had arranged the entire tournament. Aside from killing the top powerhouses of this universe, the main reason they went through all that trouble was just to obtain the Dimensional Stone.

“Does he really possess the Dimensional Stone? I can’t think of any other way he could have access to so much energy,” one of the guardians spoke. This talk was merely between them; the excitement between them couldn’t be hidden.

“He also possesses the heart of the first dragon, not to mention the strength of the Nether Lord. Do you think with that power he would be able to use that much energy?” another guardian asked in skepticism. Still, the excitement in his voice was clear.

“That might be true, but what I am thinking about is not how he obtained so much energy, but even if he has that much energy somehow, it shouldn’t be easy or even possible to create so many copies of himself that held so much power unless he possesses a…” His words came to a stop as all kinds of thoughts filled the minds of the guardians.

“He possesses a World Tree? What are the chances? A World Tree along with the Dimensional Stone? There is just no way.” The expressions of all the guardians had turned solemn as they tried to check the powers behind all those clones.

“If that really is the case, then we would have to use whatever means to take the World Tree and the Dimensional Stone away from him.

But I still don’t believe he possesses both of them.” The guardians just couldn’t believe Jayden possessed both things; they could even believe that he possessed either of the two, but not both.

Jayden looked around at all the figures without a care; all of them were frozen by fear.

The overwhelming pressure from Jayden pressed down on them all. Whether the gods or the kings, none of them could fight against ten of Jayden—heck, they weren’t sure they could even defeat a single one of him.
